On January 12, 2024, I corresponded with Mr. Mickey Rogers, who verified my account and provided reassurances that the $300 in free ads would not be billed to me until I reached the specified threshold. I made it explicitly clear during our conversation that I did not wish to pay for any ads at that time and, consequently, refrained from providing my credit card information. Mr. Rogers assured me that I would not be charged until the threshold was met.

To my dismay, I recently discovered that I have been billed $157.21 from January 12th to January 20th, 2024, despite the assurance that no charges would be applied until the threshold was reached. This discrepancy has left me feeling both frustrated and misled, as I believed Yelp would work towards achieving my business goals before any charges were incurred.

I find this situation to be highly dishonest, and it contradicts the terms that were clearly communicated to me during the account verification process. I value transparency in business transactions and feel that I have been unfairly treated in this instance.

I submitted the Payment Inquiry Form to Ylp for a request for an immediate refund of the charged amount, $157.21, as it contradicts the terms agreed upon during the verification process.

I called and emailed customer service several times including Mickey Rogers. I asked them several times to listen to the recording. They just responded with: "After further investigation on your account, we’ve determined a refund is not warranted at this time. We appreciate your patience in waiting for a decision.

We will not be issuing a refund for services delivered as these programs are self-managed and numerous resources are made available regarding the products purchased as well as the ability to stop services at any time within your Yelp for Business Owner's Account."

They did not acknowledge the recording to confirm my claims.

Based on my further research after looking at how to resolve this, in my dismay, I am not the only one have a very similar case.

Very unfortunate that Yelp has decided to operate its business this way.

Ultimately, I want my refund. Period!
