Woolworths trolleys and wheelie baskets

1. Trolleys are dangerous because they have no brakes. One ran away from me and almost crashed into a parked car. I have shopped at Woolworths, Grosvenor St, Neutral Bay, Sydney 2089 for 35 years. The car parking is on a slope. The trolley runs down the slope as soon as you let go the handle to load parcels into your car. The trolley runs away with foreseeable risk of harm. I think US courts have held this is negligence. Please add brake. BUT do NOT design it so pressure/squeezing is needed - people (like me) with bad hands will not be able to use the trolley/brake !

2. The 'new' green pull along baskets are dangerous. First, I almost tripped on one being pulled behind her by another shopper because I was looking at the shelves and not aware it was behind me at ground level. Second, they are unbalanced and can fall over and hurt you. I was hurt last week at the express checkout (witnessed by female manager) when I moved my basket with my foot while the handle was up. It fell over and the handle hit and injured my left great for (photo available but can't see how to upload for you)). As I have low immunity this was of concern but seems to be healing well. TIhird, they are not a good design as you have to bend over to load/unload. I suggest
these baskets be discontinued.

Woolworths customer service team at front desk

It's very frustrating after my third attempt to woolworths rowville (twice today as they couldn't find them this morning) to purchase 5 sets of commonwealth games coin set $15, on behalf of my mother for her grandchildren, to be told that I couldn't possibly purchase that many, perhaps 2 at the most!
Obviously staff and managers don't read their advertising catalogues that they send to residents that clearly states limit 5 per customer.
So what do I do now to purchase another 3?
Really isn't a sale, a sale to a customer!
Not good enough!

Woolworths online/delivery

Well I definitely won't use Woolworths online/delivery service ever again!
Put in my order yesterday waited for order today and they delivered some of my order but No Frozen foods or bottled water 😤😣😠
When I rang them the only options given were they could deliver them on friday at the earliest or refund which would take 4 to 5 working days... And that is that! 😠😡 what an unprofessional company! So I'm out of meals till Friday or refund I have to wait to be returned to me.
I've gone refund and all both departments would say is, I hope you have a nice day 😠😠😠😠 Glad I'm not a starving pensioner!
Rude!

Woolworths steggles chicken livers 500g pack

I bought chicken livers 500g and kidneys pack from Woolworths in Preston's on HumeHighway.

Kidneys were fine but when open pack of Livers, top looked ok pulled out another piece it was disgusting. Felt sick looking at it.
It's gone green in colour. This clearly shows the piece that should be removed wasn't and it contaminated the whole pack.
To me I know it would be poisonous. Please see photos attached as I have discarded the meat. If you need it make arrangements retentive it today.
Regards
Indra

Woolworths yellow peaches

Hello,
We bought yellow peaches yesterday from woolworths online and when I went to eat one today they are grey, rotting and very mouldy. This is not a reasonable time period for the amount of mould they have acquired. This happens on a semi-regualr basis but I don't know who to talk to. Our local Woolworths won't take responsibility because it is Woolworths online and they don't online shopping.
Help please!
Kind Regards
Lauren Dunlop

Woolworths ricotta cheese/ unacceptable customer service

I had to return ricotta cheese which had just been bought as it was off...smelt sour and was inedible. I buy ricotta regularly from this Deli. The staff Woolworths Torquay Deli on Monday evening at 7:00pm were extremely rude and expressed doubt about my judgment of the inedible ricotta. Not only did I have to take time out from cooking dinner for my whole family but I was treated as if I was a liar when returning a $1.50 product. They loudly threw the spoon in the sink and shoved the fresh cheese into my hand. I don't expect this service from Woolworths. If this is not resolved I will no longer shop at this store.

Woolworths service

I shop at Woolworths EVERYDAY !
There is a particular staff member who has been rude to me on a few occasions. I have always been pleasant, and do not warrant this. Today as going through her check out, (she always spins the bags back instead of forward for easy pic up to place in trolly). Therefor the full bag is to her side, where I have to reach directly across the top and over the entire turn style to retrieve my bag, or spin it around . My bags generally have 3 chickens or 3-4 bottles of soft drink in them. These bags are heavy. She does not move the bag around for me to pick up. A few occasions I have pinched my back try to manoeuvre the bag around.
Today I went to turn the bag holder (after I had made payment), and somehow her lanyard happen to catch on the apparatus . Ripping it off her neck. If looks could kill ! I apologised, as this certainly not not intentional. She gave me a further death stare and did not speak. I looked at the other customers who were also confused to her reaction. I apologised a further 3 times ! Obviously if she could have she would have said a mouthful, as she continued to give me a very angry dirty stare. I try not to go through her check out, but at times when the lines are long I have no choice. I have worked in customer service for 42 yrs. there is no excuse for this rude behaviour . I have never addressed the bag issue as at times not saying anything is easier!
After apologising, I left. Mentioning anything to her would have only created a greater problem. I would like a letter back as to what has been done regarding this matter. Im sure if you look up on the cameras you would have a clear view of her reaction

Woolworths food - rice

I bought a Woolworth's brand Basmati rice couple of weeks ago and tried cooking it yesterday to be very disappointed. I normally soak the rice for 10 minutes before cooking. After 10 minutes I tried washing and rinsing the rice and found that it was breaking into crumbs. I could not bring myself to cook and eat. Is it rice or something formed into rice to look like rice? I am very disappointed with the quality of rice that Woolworth's is stocking and selling. A response would be helpful.

Woolworths out of date products being sold

I purchased a container of Nestle Carnation Lite cooking cream from Plenty Valley Woolworths yesterday March 7th 2018 and when I went home and was unpacking my shopping I noticed that it had a best before date on 12 December 2017. This is appalling to see a product being sold almost 3 months after the product has been expired. Especially in a well-known company as Woolworths that have numerous staff members working for it.

Woolworths spoilt sealed salmon

I am totally disappointed with the sealed tassal salmon skin off that I bought today 7th of March at Woolworths Mernda.
I bought it at a reduced price of $9 dollar (initial price =$12) but when I opened the plastic seal, a putrid odour oozed out. Needless to say that the fish had changed colour at the other side which I didn't see from the pack until I opened it.

I feel really disgusted that one could get a spoilt food items from Woolworths.

Woolworths mission street tacos 10pk 375g

I purchased the above product yesterday (march 6th) at your woolworths store in wooloomooloo. When I took it home to cook last nights dinner I opened the packed to discover approximately 6 of the 10 tortillas were covered in mould.

The top one was not affected which is why it wasn't noticed until I got home and started cooking.

It did mean half of our dinner was rendered useless as a result of not being able to construct the tacos. We purchase this produce a lot and have not had issues before but this did make us feel pretty sick and give us a bad product experience.

Woolworths clean and clear (foaming face wash) - oil free • won’t clog pores

Purchased this product from your Capalaba Central store in QLD AUSTRALIA on the 20th of February 2018. That was 2018*! My girlfriend complained of a burning sensation on her face when using the product so I checked the labels on the bottle to find it had expired June of the year 2016! What is a product two years out of date still doing on the shelves of your store... I have photo evidence of the expiration date and I have photos of the same product still on your stores shelves with the exact same expiration date as the bottle we purchased. Absolutely appalling. I'd like something to be done about this and the fact my girlfriend had a burning sensation from using the product is a severe health issue. I would like contact details of senior representatives of the Woolworths brand.

Woolworths woolworths rewards

I won a google home mini in Oct 2017 but have yet to receive this after 6 months. I have called the rewards team at least once a month and they give all excuses ranging from it will be dispatched soon to due to an overwhelming response we were unable to meet the needs to it is a third party handling it so we do not have much control.

This morning the supervisor - Lisa, at the rewards department told me that there was an error and that ""apparently" I should not have received this. When I told her that I have it on record that another supervisor had looked into it in Nov and had cleared the doubt apologized and processed the order, she turned around to say that it was actually delivered (not giving me the date when it was) and was returned to sender. The supervisor got very rude at the end saying that I had no alternative and option but to accept some points which they were wiling to give me. What crap service and cheats. I would like someone to look into this and give me a call. I am hoping that someone from customer service is a bit more honest unlike the swindling rewards team. I practically have nothing to lose and am happy to make this an issue by walking into a store and shaming woolworths if nothing is done.

FYI...I also have an email sent to me in Jan 2018, confirming that I have won the Google Home Mini and that it would be delivered by end Feb

Woolworths fruit fly, fruit going rotten

I purchased peaches, nectarines, mandarins and pears from the above store a couple of weeks ago. That night I noticed several small insects flying about. The fruit went rotten in approximately two days of purchase, which I found unacceptable.
I have since discovered that the insects are fruit flies. I have tried several sprays after Googling how to get rid of the insects, but nothing works. I have not bought any more fruit, hoping that this would get rid of the insects, but it did not.

Woolworths chicken breast supreme shaved

Hi I purchased 300grams of chicken supreme shaved from your Hackham store in south Australia on 4th of March and today the 5th March I got it out the fridge and made lunches for our 3 children and sent them to school. My husband went to make lunch today as well and the chicken supreme shaved was off. It was revolting and as i wasn't awear this morning I sent our children to
School with the chicken supreme
Shaved on there lunches. I returned the chicken supreme shaved to your Hackham store today and was given my money back and compensated with some ham. This is the second time we have brought chicken that has been off from Woolworths Hackham and the most upsetting part is there was no compassion offered for the fact our children may end up with food poisoning. If this happens what do we do? Why we appreciate our money back and a small portion of shaved ham this seems inadequate compensation given what has happened. The staff were very helpful but would not seem to understand the gravity of the situation. I look forward to a response from Woolworths or I will take this matter further. Regards joanne wallis

Today my daughter found out the chocolate which we bought from Kellyville store on 1st March was already expired on 21st Feb 2018. Went back just now and found chocolate which expired on 20/02/18 still on their shelf. Spoke with durty Manager Crisitina all she said was "it happens and if you want more explanations contact Store Manager tomorrow". This is really not good don't know how many poor kids have already eaten the expired chocolate and sick right now so I need proper explanations where this is happening at such a big company and you guys call yourself FRESH FOOD PEOPLE

Woolworths woolworths mixed leaf with beetroot salad

I bought a bag of Mixed leaf with beetroot and carrots salad from Woolies West Ryde NSW 2114 as I usually do. Today, while having dinner, I opened the bag and tossed the salad (no dressing yet), ready to put some on my partner's plate. Then I saw this HUGE grasshopper mixed with the leaves! I immediately felt sick in my stomach. I couldn't believe how an insect that big could be missed. Look at the photos I'm attaching. What kind of quality control does Woolworths have? Will never buy Woolies salad again.

Woolworths buying a sprite bottle that was full of water instead of soft drink

Today (28 Feb 2018) my partner went into your Epping Lyndarum Drive Woolies store to get me a bottle of Sunkist. Unfortunatwly there were none available for purchase. So instead he got me a bottle of Sprite. When i finally recieved it, the seal was broken and the soft drink was, in fact, water. I have the theory that someone brought this bottle of water into the store with them but left it there and your staff, doing their job, put it in the fridge thinking that a customer decided against buying it and left it on the nearest shelf. I hope I wont get hepetisis. My only wish from this complaint is that you send out an email to all stores encouraging staff to check the seals of 600ml drinks that they find on shelves before returning the stock to their correct positions. Thankyou

Woolworths driscoll's strawberries

As a busy working Mum the click and collect option at Woolworths is fantastic, although when staff are selecting fruit for you it would be great if they didn't get the strawberries or other fruit that was already way passed its used by date and mouldy. I bought several packs of strawberries and both have mouldy, squishy and off strawberries in them.. They are completely inedible and now waisted money!
