Woolworths woolworths secret rewards

Yesterday 4/5/18 at 17.26 I paid for my shopping at your Stanthorpe store. I bought two jars of Maccona Espresso Freeze Dried coffee at $16 a jar and one 700g tub of Skyr Icelandic style yoghurt at $5.50 and a variety of other goods to a total of $103.96.

As I had gone shopping after work and after checking my emails in the morning before work, imagine my disappointment when I open my emails and find one from Woolworths showing me my secret shopping rewards that I could accrue lots of points on for the goods which I had already bought but which hadn't been activated because I hadn't seen it. The email came in at 10.03am on 4/5/18 which meant that I was already at work and couldn't see it until I got home.

I like Woolworths Rewards and especially the secret shopping rewards but I am disappointed that you couldn't send out the email before the promotion started so that I could have had a chance to participate, or at least make sure that the email is there first thing in the morning because most people, like myself, check their emails before they go to work. Not everyone has emails on their phone, some people like myself only have a computer, so I can only check stuff in the mornings or after I finish work.

I have missed out on over 1100 points and am so disappointed that I will not be able to use them. I did speak to someone on the phone about this today, but they just told me that as I hadn't activated the rewards, then the points were lost. Not very good customer service for me as I do shop at Woolworths for most of my shopping because of the rewards, but will have to think seriously about where I shop in future.

Woolworths woolworths online delivery

I am the neighbour of 14 Park Street Surrey Hills Victoria - they had a delivery today from a Woolworths on Line van at approximately 10.10 am Saturday 5 May. Your van driver parked across my driveway whilst making his delivery. When I asked him not to park over my driveway his response was along the lines of 'well are using it at the moment?' and 'there wasn't any parking and I wasn't going to walk that far' (I note there was room in their driveway and across their driveway). Not only is it illegal to park across a driveway it is poor advertising on the part of Woolworths. Luckily for Woolworths your driver is apparently leaving your company on Tuesday. May I suggest that you reiterate to all your drivers that parking across driveways is a definite 'no no'.

I had been thinking of using this service however not now as I would be apprehensive that the delivery driver would be as rude and inconsiderate to my neighbours as this one was to me.

Woolworths online delivery website is almost impossible to use for large deliveries. You only get 5-10 minutes to make later changes before your order is cancelled is & your payment refunded. It then takes three working days to go back into your account. Several changes mean that around $1000 can be out of your account - so then how do you pay other bills & for the original order? You tell me! Coles takes the money out the day before the delivery & gives me enough time to make changes so my order is not cancelled. Can't see why Wooworths can't do the same thing & give customers time to make changes & take money out on the day the order is going to be packed.

Woolworths woolworths roasted & salted macadamia

I am extremely gluten, lactose and soy intolerant as are so many people these days. I was very disappointed after spending over $6 for a tub of macadamias to discover they may contain gluten, milk and soybeans. I am very limited to what I and many others can eat and to find so many products in Woolworth brands that should be okay but may be contaminated is very upsetting. I will be changing supermarkets until Woolworths stop contaminating the few products I am able to eat.

Woolworths no gluten free bread or crumbed chicken

Have been unable to source Country Life gluten free bread for a couple of weeks, and most recently today at Macquarie Shopping Centre, North Ryde. This is extremely frustrating when there is no other choice for people with Coeliac disease. I would like to think that someone will actually pay attention as this is a repeated occurrence, however I do not have faith that there will be any resolution to this problem.

Woolworths not getting shifts

I'm writing to talk about my position at Woolworths which is in nightfill
My name is James Tyler and I've been working at Woolworths since 2015 and right now I'm concerned, I haven't been getting much shifts since the year started and we are now in May, I'm also worried about my position within the store I'm in which is Campbelltown mall, I don't know whether I'm still employed in the company or if my job is at risk

For the whole of 2016 and 2017 I was always working and now I'm in a slow period which I don't like and I need to get back and do some shifts to earn some wages

If anything can be done to help my situation I'd very much appreciate that

Regards

James Tyler

Hi James. Are you a casual team member or a permanent one? If you are hired on permanent part-time (or full-time) basis, you should get a regular shift on your contracted days. However, if you are a casual, your shifts are not assured as it will depend on the roster if there are other team members who are on leave or there are shifts that need to be covered etc. Otherwise, you won't be rostered at all. It's kinda like you are basically on-call. Talk to your line manager or your store manager regarding your status, maybe they can do something about it and give you more shifts. Hope this helps! :) - Maria

Woolworths staff member breaking laws regarding the disabled

I am a 55 year old pensioner, is severely brain injured and cannot speak properly. Today at 1pm I went to your West Ryde store as usual for my shopping. I asked a girl at the cigarette counter if she could break a $50 note. She told me that I had to buy something for her to be able to open the register, turned around and walked off. She started to do paperwork while I stood there. I waited for her to finished and began to ask "Can I pls Have a packet of Horizon?"...
But I only got as far as " Can I please..."
Because I speak slowly, she interrupted saying "I can't open the register unless you buy something".
I raised my voice saying" Well if you let me finish what I was saying, I want to buy Horizon" She turned and ignored me again.
I asked "I want to see the manager"
She said "I am the manager, you can leave the store now. I asked "Who is the manager above you?"
She ignored my question and said "you can leave the store now"
(This she said three times)
I had to walk to the back of the store to ask another staff member to please call the manager.
I spoke with the store Manager "Ross", who was respectful, listened to me and told me "I'll take care of it". He also asked me NOT to contact head office. But as there are Laws regarding discrimination of the disabled, I had to contact you.
Her name is "Laura".
I also have a witness who saw the whole thing. Mr Philip Gain.

In my view staff members like Laura are putting a bad name to Woolworths and your company would benefit by terminating her employment.
I will wait 14 days...if she is still employed at West Ryde Woolworths, I will approach the media to shine a light on this matter.

Woolworths baked bakery blueberry muffins

I purchased a bakery cooked blueberry muffin and when I bit into this muffin there were chocolate chips stuck on the outside of the muffin which I tasted as I began to chew. It was spat out immediately as I am anaphylactic to chocolate. When I looked closer at the container there was chocolate smudged on the inside of the container and when observing the rest of the muffin I noticed chocolate was part way around the rim. The muffin was binned immediately and medical action taken.
I have purchased and eaten these muffins multiple time before and not once consumed chocolate.

Woolworths roast chicken sales at randwick stubborn non customer focus by the manager on duty

Date 1/5/2018 I am really amazed at the miserly irrational attitude of the Manager on Duty. I have been shopping at Woolworths for years and in practice what usually happen if there are unsold chicken the manager usually reduces the price and the chicken are sold. Today the manager not only refused to reduce the price but also left early. As of now 10 chicken are unsold and the staff confirmed that they would be dumped into the waste bin.
Your motto is the fresh food people how would you like a new title "Waste food people" due to the stubborn attitude of the manager on duty today!

Woolworths inedible chicken chow mein

Your product barcode [protected] - Chinese chicken chow mein is inedible. The very first taste made me splutter and take the thing out to the compost heap and throw it away. What is it with development kitchens having to put sugar into everything and in such enormous quantities? The first thing that hit my tastebuds wasn't chow mein, or chicken, or soy or anything else but sugar sugar sugar. This was not only way over the top sweet, but it neither looked, nor tasted of chow mein. So, not only will I not be buying this thing ever again, but neither will I be buying anything else in this range. And don't respond by telling me it was the sweet chilli trumpeted on the packaging because it wasn't. It was sugar. When are you so called food retailers going to wake up to the public health issues of loading sugar into everything. You have a responsibility in this to not exacerbate the obesity problem facing the developed world and you're doing absolutely nothing. It will come back to bite you.

Woolworths deli service - beaconsfield vic

The Woolworths deli in Beaconsfield.

I have dealt with a lady working there and more than once I've been served by a very unfriendly lady whose name I'm not sure of. She was working this morning, Tuesday 1 May at around 10am.

Not only are you made to feel like a pain for asking for your order, both my items today were well off the serving size that I'd asked for. I didn't notice until I got home, and I was never asked if over or under would be ok.

I'm not a serial complainer, and I always give credit if due, but this terrible customer service has been displayed by the same lady numerous times.. today just 'took the cake'

Woolworths a staff member

I was in the Stockland Nowra Woolworths on Anzac day early afternoon, waiting to enter the serve yourself section. I noticed a young couple and their little girl going about their business when one of the staff members, a lady with black hair, stood very close to the young lady, who was pregnant, standing over her and told her that they were packing their trolley wrong? The young couple replied with "is there a right or a wrong way", and I thought, is this lady joking with them? No she was serious and being very intimidating to this young family. I then went in to pay for my shopping and the lady was actually intimidating this couple to the point where I could see the young man was trying to keep his cool but was getting very cross. I heard the young lady say why would we be shop lifting, I'm here with my partner and daughter we have money. So I'm guessing the staff member was then accusing them of this. At this point the young man lost it and starting swearing at her, telling her to back away, etc, more staff members came over and then security. The young man was asked to leave, he called the staff member a fat SLUT, lots of swearing. You know what, I wanted to JOIN in with him and tell her to back off too, it was a situation that was created by this staff member, she had no right to harass and intimidate this couple, they were doing nothing wrong. The young man had to leave his partner and daughter standing there crying while they tried to finish their shopping, I would have left it all there and walked away. I left absolutely disgusted with the staff member, who at this stage was looking very smug with herself. When putting my shopping in my car I saw this young family in the car park and the young man trying to console his partner and little girl who were still crying. I went over to them and asked if they were ok and that I had witnessed what had happened. The young lady said that the staff member was standing right over her and she could feel her breath on her shoulder it was really intimidating and she was scared. The young man was visibly shaken and as he said "I was only trying to stickup for my family" I told him I would have done the same and asked if they were going to complain, he said no, because he had "lost his [censored]" as he said, and it would be made out to look like he was at fault. I said "ok then, I will". They were very grateful of my support, I suggested they don't shop there again seeing he had made a scene as yes, they will probably be marked as the bad ones. I have been away with work and that is why I am only now making this complaint. This incident has played strongly on my mind, it was a disgraceful scene created by this staff member, I didn't look to see if she had a name badge so I don't know her name and I haven't been back to that Woolworths store since. I am 53 years old, I have worked in retail, hospitality and tourism and was disgusted in her intimidating behavior. I also did noticed when I entered the store she was standing near the service desk inside Woolworths and just staring at people coming her way and not getting out of their way, people having the move around her with their trolleys, she wasn't moving to make way for people, I did think "that's very odd" does she not see those people, daydreaming maybe. Maybe this lady should be sent to some extra training on public relations, AS SHE HAS NONE.

Woolworths msa beef eye fillet steak barcode [protected]

I purchased the above product via online shopping Invoice/Order No [protected] from the Victor Harbor Store on 27 April 2018. As I am currently watching what I eat, I weighed each individual steak to ascertain which piece I would eat for my dinner. Each steak weighed around 120 grams. There were 3 steaks in the package which totals 360 grams. The packaging advertises the weight at .406 Kg. So I weighed the packaging which was around 40 grams. Considering the price of the steak is $42.99 per kilo, why am I paying this price for the weight of the packaging? Is this common practice? I will be weighing the rest of the meat, chicken and pork from the rest of my order and if this is consistent I will no longer be shopping with your company and think I will report this practice to the relevant authorities. No wonder the price of groceries for the average family is going up. Poor form Woolworths.

Woolworths macro organic almonds (500g)

To Whom It May Concern,

I am a regular Woolworths customer and I am generally very happy with my shopping there. I buy Wooloworths' Macro Organic Almonds quite often and have never had any problems until today. As I grabbed a handful of almonds out of the packet, I noticed that one of them happened to be a peanut. I'm not sure how this got in there, but it is a concern that a peanut from who knows where, has ended up in my packet of almonds. I would appreciate a full refund for this product please and an explanation of how this may have occurred. I would also like a new packet of almonds, as I disposed of the remainder of the packet which contained the peanut.

Thank you

Regards

Woolworths cat food and poor attitude

Woolworths in Erskineville, Sydney, NSW recently stopped stocking 400g cans of cat food, leaving only expensive small cans and sachets. I have tried at least 3 times to make a complaint about this to local store staff - they have no interest. This afternoon Tim said he had "no interest and didn't care if had a complaint" and told me to "take your attitude elsewhere" when I tried to explain that it only left expensive options. Obviously the local staff feel disempowered which results in a poor attitude. They don't care and I assume that Woolworths don't care either. The company limiting options on things like cat food is a nasty little price gouge. Makes me feel that Woolworths is not a reputable company and don't allow local staff to address reasonable concerns from their customers.

Woolworths? There hasn't been a Woolworths store in America for 5o years (at least)! Maybe that guy with the expensive cat food complaint should get back on his horse and head out to a nice silent movie...I hear there's a new one with Tom Mix starting tonight at the Bijou in Sydney.
