Weis Markets review: La Plata, MD store

Our store used to be one I took pride in shopping in and bragged about it to the Safeway and Giant shoppers in my group. I believe the manager, Jeff VanDyke, has left pretty recently since I never see him or any other manager for that matter. He was the best. He was a presence and roamed the store and chatted with the shoppers. Lately the faucet in the ladies room leaked forever...has since been finally fixed. There was no chicken to take out in the warmer today save for 3 rotisserie. There was no artisan breads or baked in store breads. Baskets were empty. I was there around 2 this afternoon so I'm not thinking they were sold out. Lots of employees hanging around in back of the deli and over by the service desk batting the breeze. 3 cash registers were lit up but only one cashier was present. I fear this store may turn into a place where people abandon their carts and go to a grocery that has what they're looking for, or stay away from all together. I used to find everything I want and then some. I love Weis, growing up in Lancaster I was familiar with you. Was thrilled to see you in this area. Hate going to 2 stores any more because I can't get everything I want at yours.
