Good afternoon, I'm writing because I think I am finished with Volvo...The infotainment system does not work and is actually a safety hazard in my vehicle. 2022 early XC60 T8. VIN: YV4BR0DZ2N1995984 I just got it back last friday after they off loaded the UX updated and reloaded it. Sunday afternoon I had to hard start because the sound just stops working, no music, no turn signal clicks, the program I have running just plays but doesn't play into the speakers...Most of the time this is happening while driving around DC. I feel this is an issue of the connection from the Console to the speaker module. It is either loose or power is somehow being cut thru the programming. Giving you as much details as possible. Prior to this uninstall, I was hard restarting the UX system sometimes 3x per day. I use this car for work and am in and out of the car multiple times per day so this disruption is actually costing me $$ with time.
I really want this to be reviewed by someone outside my dealership as I asked for this to escalated last week and didn't get much of a thank you for coming by and a loner. This seems to be global-well USA-issue with Volvos around this year. According to Reddit(if you haven't checked there, man you may). Additionally reviews of the infortainment system are to favorable.
Please some kind of assistance...I personally would like an upgrade to my system to one similar to the late 2025/26 models. I support products of Volvo and Geely(drove a rental in Merida, Mexico recently, fantastic car! Just like my XC60, infotainment system was flawless and the features are some you should consider like how the car locks and unlocks when you get close AND how the headlights remain on if you walk away in the dark in front of the car.
Enough on my tangent. By know I hope you have considered that I am not shooting BS thru the ethers about how poorly this system operates. I take pride in maintaining my vehicles sans the careless individuals in parking garages.
Desired outcome: I'd love to have an overhaul of my infotainment system and upgraded with a new model. I find it difficult for a company designed around safety, its in your motto and advertising that you don't consider this UX system a complete failure.
