Vodacom review: Being charged for product added without authorisation

I signed a contract with them on the 09/12/2022 at Vodacom Sandton City. All went well with me paying my monthy bills via debit order, after all I am a loyal customer of Vodacom.

The contract ends today the 9th December 2025. On the 3rd November I wrote to Vodacom Sandton City requesting that my contract be cancelled, no response received.
I also emailed cancellations as Vodacom on the same day no response received.
I called in and did the cancellation telephonically. I was advised that my last premium will be December for the amount of R900 some odd rands made up of the phone and 1 weeks allocation.

Knowing of Vodacoms recent reputation I decided to call them again the 21st November2025 and I chatted to a consultant who was desperately trying to sell me a bundle which I refused saying that I was not interested, I did not want to have any dealings with Vodacom going forward all I want is for my contract to end. She advised that this was actioned.
Not being happy with this I called again whilst on my way home and spoke to another guy the same afternoon who confirmed that the cancellation was processed and all was in order.

To my horror I received a bill for the amount of R1451.20 for December which is way above my normal billing. I called Vodacom customer care on the 08/12/25 and the lady could not explain what the account was made up of , I asked to speak to someone who could assist me, she then transferred me to the subscribing/collections department, the guy Muzi Mpofu was shocked as to why I was being transferred to him. He then transferred me back to customer care, I held on for over 10 minutes, the call eventually dropped. I then sent an email to Vodacom customer care (08/12/25), still awaiting a response.

Today 09/12/25 I called Vodacom Sandon City and spoke to Nthabi, she advised that Vodacom had added a 1g whats app bundle and itemised billing to my account. I advised her that I didn’t request or authorise this how can they do something like this, this is illegal, fraud. She advised that I should contact Vodacom, I then called them and spoke to Petina she advised that I call billings. I called billings and spoke to Patricia who went through to cancellations and returned advising that I will have to pay the bill or else it will fall into arears. I advised her that I will not be paying for something I didn’t authorise, also the contract ended today 09/12/25 Vodacom was only supposed to bill me for the phone and 1 weeks allocation which is the R900 some odd and not R1451.20. I did not request for full allocations, they cannot do as they please and expect payment from me, this is unacceptable!

Furhter this they add products to my account without my consent is illegal

Desired outcome: VODACOM TO REVERSE UNATHORISED PRODUCTS ADDED ON AND ADHERE TO WHAT WAS AGREED WHEN CONTRACT WAS CANCELLED NO FURHER ALLOCATIONS AND BILLINGS!!!!
