Vivant appears to make a final cancellation of their home security service, purposely, as difficult as possible. They have constructed a twisted non-system for customer cancellation. This system appears to me to be designed to frustrate the customer, as opposed to facilitating a quick and streamlined cancellation process.
I have placed multiple phone calls to Vivant after learning that my cancellation request had not been honored. They kept forwarding my call to other employees within their system & most seem to not have the corporate power to cancel my contract. In the meantime, they continue to charge my account or call me monthly to ask for submission of payment. In my case, I chose not to upgrade my obsolete system. So, they know full well that I have a nonworking system that they are still trying to charge me for. It’s unconscionable & fraudulent. They really ought to be investigated. I have been told that my experience with Vivint is not an unusual one.
While their monitoring system did seemed to work well while I was using it, I would not advise anyone to sign up for Vivant because of these unnecessarily frustrating and time consuming cancellation issues. To say nothing of their demonstrated lack of respect for an individual customer’s time and money.
Recommendation: Do not consider signing up with Vivint for your home security needs.
