6/20/25 – 11:40 AM Appointment
I came into Visionworks for an eye exam to replace my laptop glasses. My previous pair had been provided by Visionworks. I asked the optometrist to review my old prescription to see how much my vision had changed. She asked about the distance of my monitors, and I showed her the exact setup.
After we stepped outside the exam room, I noticed that the prescription in their records did not match the one she tested for based on the distance I provided. As I attempted to show her more of my environment to clarify my needs, she walked away. I was then handed a prescription that appears to match my old glasses.
The purpose of this visit was to ensure I had an accurate prescription for ordering new glasses, including future distance and reading glasses. When I asked why the optometrist walked off, I was told she had other customers. Was I not a customer seeking service as well?
I feel that Visionworks took my insurance money but failed to provide the service I came for. I left with an incorrect prescription and no clear understanding of what my updated prescription actually is. If this issue cannot be resolved, I will have to pursue other options to obtain the correct prescription and seek reimbursement from Visionworks.
Desired outcome: a new eye exam and the correct prescription
