I just witnessed a disabled customer fall down 2 times trying to board the elevator, and walk to his room. I had to help this elderly man to his acessable room by holding his belt loops. He was partially paralyzed on one side of his body.
When I brought to the attention of the front desk the young man looked unconcerned and stated :"I dont know where the chair is" ? I explained to him that I was a disabled veteran as well and this troubled me since Laquinta Inns lodges several hundreds of veterans for appointments on a daily basis. at the Little RockVA hospital. A large number of these people are disabled. It broke my heart to see how they treat disabled Veterans.
I am disabled although not this severely and the La Quinta denied me accomodation for me - which no hotel actually does.
Something's wrong with La Quinta's - they are not safe for anybody, it sounds like to me.
I am a strong advocate for civil rights due to my own situation, I am not an attorney and no attorney will help me because I'm not rich enough, but I'm thinking of learning to file my own cases and suits.
This hotel needs serious clean up and something is wrong with their employees.
And by the way, that poor man!
