This company is a scam and should not be allowed to do business in the United States. Their protection plans are cheap for a reason; they don't pay!

Their warranty policies are guaranteed to ensure that there is a "not covered-exclusion" term that matches a "covered" term. A tear and a split are two different things and tears are covered "they are accidental" and splits are not! What a joke.

They should be shut down.

I filed a claim (#C2802249) with the Care Free Plan By Uniters on 12/18/22 and it was denied. Shortly after we received the couch we noticed that the cover for the chase lounge was offset from the cushion slightly and there was an extra seam on top of the cushion in an odd location, I didn’t notice it on delivery so I lived with it for a few years (my fault for not noticing on delivery). There was no damage to the cushion so we could not make a claim at that time but I was watching the area because when sitting on the cushion you could tell there were added stresses and stretching of the seam as tho one day it was going to separate. A few days prior to me opening the claim I noticed that this seam had separated and began fraying. Within the 30 days of the damage accruing I made the claim and it was denied. In my claim I was being honest and stated that I noticed the cushion offset around the delivery date and put that “it was noticed around the delivery date” in my claim to try and give them a full picture of why I believe this issue happened and they took it as the damage accrued near the delivery date so it’s outside of the 30 day reporting time and denied my claim. When the actual damage accrued only a few days prior to when the claim was made. I called warranty services and was told to bad we have your claim and it says the this issue happened more then 30 days ago there’s nothing we can do. uploaded photos and keep in mind this is a Seam on the top of my cushion right next to another seam. Customer service said it not a seam it’s a rip lol. I don’t need a new cushion I would just like the cover to be replaced and fit correctly. But I guess I don’t deserve that when I pay for a 5000$ couch and a full “care free warranty service” super disappointed in the level of customer care and service. It sad that I have to write a complaint on the BBB to actually get the small chance that someone will help understand the claim I made and care about the product they sale.

Put me down for class action suit if one comes up.

This happened to me also. This is complete scam.

Yes is what I’m realizing too late after purchase of plan and then using plan. On 3rd try, I spoke to a CS rep and he sent me an email to respond with the pictures that show damage as a way to help see and solve my issues. Apparently, after 2 wks, I spoke to a supervisor and she stated that was the incorrect process and the Rep should not have said that. I asked if they would honor the issue and she stated no because I did not submit via there website portal. She would not honor the email pics of damages that I was told I can respond to.
