no response & unhelpful attitudes
In July 2017, I went to UNISA Parow to pay a library & supplementary exam fee. At the cashiers counter I was informed that I need to pay R200 extra for learning centre fees. I refused to pay this amount as I HAVEN'T attended classes in over 2 years. I went to the Learning Centre for assistance & was helped by a lady who was very UNPROFESSIONAL. She told me 'it's not their problem & there's nothing they can do about it & that the Finance Department did some audit' & is now charging various amounts to students accounts! She then referred me to people who couldn't help me & eventually when I was told to go back to her, she said 'there's nothing I can do to help you... what must I do?'! Pathetic service! She then e-mailed the Finance Department & told me that she can't promise anything.
I can't understand y I have this amount owing as the Learning Centre made it a requirement to pay fees upfront. Not once did I attend classes without paying for the entire semester before classes commenced. So y the HECK is there a R200 balance?
unhelpful finvraj lecturers
I failed my FINVRAJ exam in January 2009. It’s an honours exam. I got a remark only to obtain 2 % more. The thing is that I studied extremely hard for this exam and I got an average of 80% on my 4 assignments, but when I got my exam transcript back, I saw that they would mark the first part and last past of the answer correct, and give incorrect marks for the middle part of the answer. When I tried to contact the lecturers, after dozens of emails, as to why they marked answers like this: I got no response at all not even trying to give me advice. AND I am not the only one. On the discussion forum on UNISA online there are several students who complain about the exact same problems AND that they also do not get answers back from the lecturers. I need and want assistance, because I want to pass, but what do you do when you are ignored by your lecturers? Please UNISA - help the FINVRAJ students?!
to this day I have never heard anything from unisa instead I paid r150 for nothing
I contacted Unisa regarding applying to study with them, I was told since I'm a first time student I would have to apply through CAO, which I did. Then last communication I got was that my application would be forwarded to the university and they will get back to me. To this day I have never heard anything from Unisa instead I paid R150 for nothing. I'm R150 poorer and still cannot register so I need re apply and pay yet again.
I wonder how many people have been cheated like I have been really.
Please assist me..i got disciplinary pending for RCE2601 module on the 13 November 2022, i am not satified with all this.Rce2601 lecturer doesn't think for us as student final year. Please assist us with this matter..70% of students got disciplinary pending. I worked so hard preparing and doing more research with the portfolio of this module
I wrote a module on the 23rd of October, and i even completed the attendance register but they say i was absent from the examination. How can that be possible. The worst case is that, i even send them an email but i didn't get a response. What's going on with this university?
I have paid my registration fee on the 30th of July 2019 but i still haven't received my study material, when I call the despatch the phone is just ringing, when I e-mail the despatch all I get is reference numbers. Unisa's service is very poor.

I have been checking for more than a week online all day and still do not have any of my modules/sites displaying.
I have an assignment due the 5th of August but only received my study material on the 8th of August 2019.
What in the world is going on? I sure as hell no that Unisa will not take responsibility for these things.
I applied to get credit for modules done on my prior qualification early July last year during second semester registration and I still have not received any feedbackfro. adhoccredit@unisa.ac.za, from CEMSenquiries@unisa.ac.za. I am doing B. Comm Banking which is being phased out and I have been given a due date for finishing the qualification.
Every year around exam time the MY Unisa website either crashes or runs very slow.
This has been going on for years. Why have you not fixed this issue? We pay for a service and you guys are not able to deliver. When are you going to sort this issue out?
Good Day I need to know why unisa would squash four exams in to one week. They gave us a year to do the work but feel it good to set exam dates for 23, 24, 25 and 27 January 2017. Why? This is unfair, honestly! Surely they are able to set the four exams in at least two weeks?
i have sent 4 Emails confirming payment of deposit, as well as phone calls made [protected]) no answer ! amount still not reflecting on student account Student no [protected]. Study material not sent out as of yet. Need resolution A.S.A.P. Please advise

I have proof in the form of a letter from Unisa, Parow that I registered before the closing date for registration and made full payment for the registration. I have been following up the said registration telephonically every week, sometimes twice a week to be told that I must just be patient they have a huge backlog of registrations. I have now received an email stating that they regret to inform that all documentation was received after registration had closed. This is not correct. They now want me to submit registration again before the 4th of March for the second semester. This service is unacceptable!
