Absolutely Unethical and Deceptive Sales Tactics
I received a call from a TXU Energy salesperson who blatantly misrepresented himself as a representative of Sunrun in an apparent attempt to deceive me into switching my electricity provider. He was disrespectful, rude, and pushy — completely ignoring my clear statement that I was not interested in switching. To make matters worse, he falsely claimed that the transfer had already been completed without my authorization and threatened me with a $199 fee if I wanted to switch back.
This kind of behavior is dishonest and highly unethical. It erodes trust and should not be tolerated by any reputable company. Thankfully, I contacted my actual provider, Reliant Energy, and asked them to lock my service and ensure no unauthorized changes could be made.
TXU needs to take accountability for this unacceptable conduct and ensure that their sales practices reflect integrity, not manipulation.
