One of my luggage's got damaged during our flight to Montreal through Istanbul on Sep 6. I noticed it when I was unpacking at home. I contacted Turkish Airlines through their website and sent them pictures of the broken bag and my flight documents. They replied and asked how much is the price for the damaged bag. After sending the cost they replied that I must have reported in the airport so they will not pay for the damage. However their website clearly states that the damages should be reported in the airport or within 7 days of flight. They are not taking the responsibility.

On August 31, my old mother and I had a flight back to Washington DC from Istanbul with Turkish Airlines. We checked in our luggage and were given two checked in tickets. Knowing that all have went on fine as usual, i did not check out tickets till few minutes later in which I found out that one of the tickets, mine was stand by. I was shocked because the guy at the counter did not say or mentioned anything about it to me and I think I was deceived by him. So I had to go back I to the same counter but he pretended he was busy and referred me to n
Another desk. The lady at the desk with very little English proficiency told me that I had to go to the gate and if there was seats left at the end, I could fly. I was so who led and stunned. My mother is in need of my assistance.
There was no way I could let her fly without me plus, she had a flight back to her hometown Atlanta the next day. And for me, I had a full schedule of patients to see as a doctor. Making the whole ordeal short, we had to wait for all the passengers to board on the plane only to be told by the attendants that there were no room left for me to fly that day. No one offered any explanations as to why I was out on stand by to begin with. Needless to say that I had tried to do online checking a few days prior at the Turkish Airlines website with no success. I asked if I could talk to a manager. I was getting so nervous and did not what to e, expect. I was losing my flight and no one could help. There were three other passengers which also has the same problems. I finally managed to convince the head attendant at the boarding about my situation and issues about my old mother. Only at that time they issues me a seat and I could finally fly out that day. But I felt so sorry for the ones who were left behind. I have been flying Turkish Airlines from US back and forth to Istanbul and I should say in the last couple of years the quality of service has gone down dramatically. I hope someone in the higher ranking of the airline would read my complaint and start doing something about the tarnished reputation of the company. You will see hundreds of complaints like mine in various sites on internet.

During our flight # 78 ist - mia we kindly asked the attendants to ask the passengers in front of us to upright the seats a bit during the meal service, but totally ignored us and were not accommodating. During the last 30 years and hundreds of international flights on lufthansa british air or delta air the attendants made pa announcements on many occasions kindly asking everyone to upright the seats out of courtesy during the service meal.
Very unprofessional and cruel attendants who just wanted to do their job as fast as possible and go home.
Such a disappointment.
Finished the flight exhausted and to make matters worse the stroller was not at the cockpit door at as promised and had to carry luggage and kids thru connecting airport and baggage claim.

I (Ajlinda Musliu, ref: WY6E8X ) was travelling on 24-08-2019 from Dublin( Ireland) to Istanbul with the final destination to Pristine( Kosovo).
After passing the security checks in Dublin Airport I came to know that the flight was delayed for nearly two hours and due to this I missed the connecting flight from Istanbul to Pristina . I stayed overnight in Istanbul .
My family members who came to collect me stayed overnight in the nearest hotel in Pristina which cost them because of this delay. I was going to attend an important meeting in Kosovo which I missed due to this delay.
I was really stressed out and felt sick for nearly a week due to a long wait for the bus to bring us to the Hotel and insufficient sleeping hours .
It would be kind enough to compensate me for all those matters stated above as I always travel with Turkish airlines.

I traveled from Sabiha Gokcen (SAW) to Dubai (DXB) with my family. Our baby stroller has been damaged. It was in a plastic bag, but the bag was torn and the stroller got scratched.

Turkish Airlines said that it's not a problem, because scratches are impacting functionality. I pushed back and they accepted to pay $53 as an allowance.

This amount is very low compared to the price of the stroller $1000. I asked how they have calculated this allowance and couldn't get an answer. They keep sending automated apology emails to me.

There is no way to get neither a reasonable answer to my questions nor a reasonable allowance for the damage. It's impossible to contact a person or a supervisor to get a solid answer. They don't deserve to be in Star Alliance.

I was booked on a flight from Edinburgh to Tel Aviv on September 13. Booking code UIJLIM. the flight was canceled. We arrived 3 hours early for the flight and then after waiting in line for 4 and a half hours after the flight was canceled only to be told here's a hotel room we will call and give you a knew flight time. This was the 14th arriving at 02:15am on the 15 th. Two days after my original arrival date and time. I lost a hotel room in Tel Aviv for the 14th cost 175 dollars. I also lost the first nite of the tour I was meeting in Tel Aviv. The flight on the 14 th was also delay and we did not arrive until 05:00 am. The nite I missed for the tour was 340$
We ended up being awake for 36 hours due to this flight. I would like to be compensated for my loss and inconvenience.

We had booked a flight from Israel to Delhi with a connection through Istanbul. We arrived 3+ hours before the flight as instructed on the digital tickets. When arriving at the check in counter we were asked to wait 10-15 minutes while the crew verifies our flights are on schedule.
From that point on we were completely ignored by the counter workers, as we waited for far longer than 10 minutes (actually, we waited for 2 hours before we got ANY answer to our increasing concerns)
We were then ushered to the separate supervisor lane, where we waited an additional hour before we were told our tickets were cancelled and we have been booked a later flight via Air India, 7 hours after our original flight! (Which we couldn't check into for an additional 4 hours)
So now we are stuck in Limbo: there is no option for us to leave the airport, but we cannot continue with the check in process for 3 more hours (at the time of writing)
We were offered no compensation for the fact that Turkish overbooked our flight save for a meal so we wouldn't literally starve before our next flight.

Hi. I arrived today, 28.9.19 from Istanbul to Tel Aviv.
My complain is regarding the landing.
Less then 5 minutes before landing, the airplane make a turn for the landing. this turn was very scary. the airplane suddenly descend / fall fast and was very unstable (people called in panic). since then till the landing, the airplane was unstable and it was very very scary. 4 seconds before landing the pilot suddenly speed up because she almost miss the track.
I was in many many landings. that landing was horrible. I almost got an heart attack. I think we had some very dangerous moments. I think that the pilot is not qualified for landing.

Customer care got us onto next flight 5 hours later but offered no compensation by way of comfort whilst waiting.

No lounge access or facilities for showers

Very abrupt unhelpful staff that were laughing

We chose to fly Turkish airlines instead of our usual emirates as we flew once before with Turkish airlines and we believed in strongly helping the Turkish economy, however sadly myself and my 4 colleagues and all our families will not be using Turkish airlines in the future.

The issue is not missing the connecting flight the issue was the incompetent and unhelpful and sarcastic staff.

There was no compensation for making our stay comfortable.

I am writing this letter in regards to canceled flight by (Turkish Airline). I planned and bought this ticket a long in advance from Mashhad to Toronto, Canada for date September 25th, 2019; however, a few days ago, I received a call regarding flight cancellation from travel agency. After their explanation I immediately contacted Turkish Airline in Mashhad, Iran. They told we have to apply through Turkish airline website. To inform you, this devastated my plans as I planned and I had to pay $270 penalty for a day hotel cancellation. I would appreciate to reimburse all the damages that I have taken.

Dear Turkish airlines,

I had a flight with you on 07/08/2019 from Manchester airoprt - istanbul-Amman.

On my my flight from Manchester to Istanbul, there was 4500 pound in an envelope and 250 jordanian Dinar in another envelope in my hand luggage .

When I board the plane, the compartment above my head was full, I spoke to the airhostesess who took my bag and put on the oppisite side comprtment 2-3 seats ahead of mine.

My wife noted that when the lights turned off, many staff was opening and closing the compartment repeatedly.

When I reached home the 2 envelops was gone.

I spoke to lost and found in manchester and istanbul and amman and no body found any thing, I spoke to Manchester airport who had looked the CCTVs and found no interferwnce with my luggage.

The money is my savings in 6 months abd stealing them left me in distress and debt.

I would appreciate you help.

My partner and I were due to travel to Tokyo from Dublin via Istanbul on the 19/09/19at 16.30. The flight was cancelled at 18.00 and we were brought to a nearby hotel. We were told Turkish airlines would be in contact. We received no contact from the airline, this is a breach of our rights.
After great difficulty, through ringing the Turkish airlines helpline, we managed to have our flights rerouted to fly out for Dublin on the 21/09/19. We had to make three phone calls to confirm.
We were flying to Tokyo to the World Cup rugby match. We have missed out on Ireland vs Scotland. We have also had to pay for two night accommodation.
There has been no correspondance from your company. All correspondance has been initiated by ourselves . We have received no apology from the airline.
We are entitled to €600 each in compensation.
The disruption in our travel itineraries has caused significant futhur costs that has been incurred by us; two night accommodation in Tokyo and two rugby World Cup match tickets.

Due to your unprofessionalism. Of giving a word and not keeping. And due to the irresponsibility of the airline. And turkey visa did not give me a permission to enter. I would expect that a transfer of my flight from Turkey to Montreal. From turkey to Toronto. I was expecting a manager when I called to explain my situation. But a manager was not there to support any employee in a matter of fact the customer service told me you have no manager. If not I expect the ticket to be refunded. Because I took the advice of one of your employees. But it was not appropriate. ( she told me when I changed my flight date that you can enter turkey). This fact was not true and Turkish airlines is responsible for this action.

Dear turkish airline, i am dr shahedah . I am not satisfied and disappointed with this airline which i consider now as a low class airline., which supposed to be the last to choose after this.
I took a flight from turkey to nice for my bussiness meeting, tk 1813, 8.30-10.30, i notice our baggage which we check in, were all wet. 100 percent wet. Like being thrown in the swimming pool. To make me feel very angry is all my bussiness meeting, paper, inside all wet. I cant use it anymore. And all my dress 100 percent wet. What is your problem with your service. You shouldnt take passenger money if this is how you can perform. Dear all, dont choose this airline. Sorry or apologise is not enough. Better protect your self and your belonging before things happen like me.

Purchased a ticket from Montreal, Canada to Delhi, India. Ticked it purchased from turkish airline's website. On the way back to Canada, there was stay of 19 hours at Istanbul airport in Turkey. I was informed that a hotel is provided for accomodation if the stay is longer than 12 hours. I called ahead to know if I, with my two kids, will be accomodated at hotel. once arrived at hotel, no hotel was provided. Just tossed between different sections of the Istanbul airport, but no one provided help.

The staff at the gate, who was checking the passports and passes was extremely rude. I kindly asked her employee number and she replied me rudely that she can't share it. However, I was able to find out her name through his team members who is ILKNUR OZAN. I'm afraid she is unsatisfied with her position and perhaps, therefore she is aggressive and unprofessional towards passengers but it's completely unacceptable.
For your references, it was a flight from Istanbul to Dubai, on the 14th September 2019, 18:45 departure, TK760.

I tried to issue boarding  pass yest online as u saw  but i couldnot!

I traveled fm ankara to istanbul by another way as i couldnot do the boarding and i was in city between istanbul and ankara  and in order to safe time ..i decided to move to istanbul direct to catch jeddah flt

In istanbul sabiha airport, they treated me bad, refused issue boarding pass plus pushed my to pay around 900 TL  as attached in order to issue the boarding pass for istanbul jeddah!

I am gold member and treated v bad [protected] by sabiha airport all members 

In istanbul they inforced me to be around 900 TL, reason  i didnot issue boarding from ankara despite i tried as below but couldnot issue it

I want refund these value paid to turkish airline yest. Around 900 tl or i will sue turkish airline plus staralliance

I will never use turkish air or any of staralliance members anymore

My name is Lilian Ampiaw Ocran and i got on board on the 27th of August 2019 at JFK Airport Flight TK0002, seat 33H to Istanbul. I mistakenly left my cellphone (IPhone 8plus, black in color with at gold sticker in my first name behind it, and in a transparent phone case) in the compartment behind the seat in front of me. I was unable to go back to the airplane for it and the staff around didn't help at all, they said there was nothing to do about it so i should go to the lost and found department. upon getting there the the passport control and police said i needed a Turkish visa to get there so i was unable to go to the lost and found. They told me to file a complain when i get to my country Ghana which was my final destination. i got to Ghana on my connecting flight and the airlines service told me if i find it i would have to go back to Turkey for it. i am very disturbed because the phone has a lot of my school works and document on it and other very important things. i hope it will be found and returned to me safely.
