Will not sale me a car if I let my adult son drive it.
Andy claimed there is a law that the bank will not let me purchase a car if I allow my adult son to drive it. Regardless of who makes the payments, he claims it is illegal. Called the "Straw Law", and it is supposedly 'fraudulent' practice. I called around to other dealerships and they told me this was BS, and not illegal, and the bank cannot do this. They lost my business after purchasing two vehicles in the past with them.

I bought a used 2011 Ford Explorer from Tri-County Ford in Sept 2015 with 56K miles. At 81K miles, the coolant leaked into the engine and it died. I took it to Tri County Ford and they fixed it for $6,544. The Service Manager, ***, said the new engine had a 100,000 mile warranty. I thought I could drive it to at least 180,000 miles. But, *** never mentioned the warranty was for less than 3 years or 100,000 miles. Five years later, the car had the same problem. I paid to tow it to Tri County Ford and they diagnosed the same problem. They never fixed the original problem. The new engine would cost $8,000+ and it doesn't make sense to fix it with 145,000 miles on it. The Service Manager, ***, was professional and informed me that the warranty was only for 3 years. I asked if they could buy the car from me but they said no. I'm not happy and want them to buy the car from me.
