Texas Roadhouse - Rotten pork purchased for off site cooking

On April 6th, 2020, I called the Sioux City, IA location to try and help out a local business owner during the Covid -19 resturant shut down. thinking it was a good deal to help and get product to freeze and have during the summer. I was told by manager that this was a way to keep their product moving and their producers in business. I called ahead and order almost $400 of beef and pork. I was told it would be individually wrapped, explained I was planning on putting in zip-locks for freezing. Oon April 8th, I drove to pick up my order, there was a little delay in getting it out to my car, but with such a large order, I understood. I also ordered carry out for that evening. I tipped $40.00 to round up my total to $400.00, hoping it would be appreciated and help out a business during rough times.
It took me less than 15 minutes to get home, separated into zip-locks, labeled and had everything in the freezer in less than 2 hours.
I shared produce with my two adult children, who put their freezer.
As we all took out the meat to grill, each of us had the same problem: as we opened the pork chops we could smell bad meat and noticed the meat to be green and slimy. Each of us unwrapped some of the steaks and they appeared fine. Grilled great, tasting beef. Needless to say, I can't say that for the pork. I purchased 40 pork chops and have not opened every package as of yet. Thought I would check out some other bags in the next few weeks. I have refrozen the rotten meat. When I called the Sioux City, TX Roadhouse, it took me 2 different calls and after 10 on hold a manager came to the line, I as then told that since it was more than 3 days ago, there was nothin they could do. they offered to sell me more at a discounted price, needless to say that was not going to happen. I understand you are not in the business of usually selling fresh meat, but this is a new way of marketing for many businesses.
I am unhappy that they don't stand behind their product. I feel, I was sold meat that they were having trouble moving, and did not want to cook for their carry out orders.
I am very disappointed in the way I was treated and that TX Roadhouse does not stand behind their product and I shared that with them.
1) I was never told I had to inspect each piece of meat I purchased and sure did not expect that I would be sold bad meat.
2) I offered to bring back the rotten meat and show them what I was sold. they declined.
I would be happy to keep the rotten meat frozen for you and return it for replacement (which I will ask them not to wrap, so that I can inspect it within the 3 days) I am guessing I was sold 40 rotten pieces of pork chops.
If they were having trouble moving the product and did not want to cook it for carry out, they still should not have tried to push it off to a person wanting to help out a local business.
I am not happy that a business would do that to their consumer and then not standing behind their product. I did not add any photos but I sure can I you would like. I was not provided a receipt for my purchase. I do have my credit card bill that I could share.
Sincerely a very unhappy, previous customer
