TDS Telecommunications Internet/phone service

Your service is a joke. Your staff overcharged me and messed up reconnecting me three times. I paid 200 as I was told, then 51.90 then another 51.90 just to be told I don't have an account. You see, three of your staff hurried to charge me a fee while not reinstating my service. Then three weeks later when I was yelling mad you finally figured out that your computer had closed my account. How did three humans not see that the account was closed. I went over three weeks with no service paying as told and then you act like I am the idiot.

Now your charging me more money for the same service. You just told me that because it was shut off it is always more. So My only option is to remove your terrible service and use another company.

Your phone staff has destroyed the amazing work of your installation teams. I will put up a fence and gate now blocking your trucks from using my driveway when they service the TDS junction in my yard. You can park in the 60mph street from now on!

I will make a serious effort to tell everyone I can of your ridiculous service rules and how you purposely raise prices on people like you did me.

Desired outcome: Reduce the cost of internet only to the original amount i used to pay before your ridiculous mistake

TDS Telecommunications Customer service and billing

I have called numerous times to have my bill corrected. Each time I sit on the line for hours, only to be transferred to another call service out of the U.S., might I add with the same poor excuses! I would also point out that the problem is not the COVID-19 pandemic, the problem is your organizations poor customer service. I only have internet at my home, I do not have television services which I am being charged for. I do not intend to pay anything further until my bill is completely corrected and I receive a call back to confirm this. Again, your customers time is as valuable as yours, if someone from your organization can't spend the time to correct this and call me back to confirm that it has been taken care of, I'll simply unplug your equipment and toss it in the trash! Then I will proceed to contact each of my neighbors who are experiencing the same issues, the better business bureau. From the start, the TDS experience has been terrible.

TDS Telecommunications Internet service

I own a property in the 86024 zip code in Arizona. The area is called Happy Jack. I've had the home 2 years and lived up there full time for the last 5 or 6 months. TDS internet service isn't what they say it is. It's down at least 4 to 6 times per month and a couple of times it was down for more than a day.

We've tested the speeds on numerous occassions only to find out what we already know... you are getting marginal slow service and paying a premium price because of lack of competition in the area.

Customers are required to pay 33.30 per month for phone service even if you don't use it. They claim it's because your modem plugs into the phone line, but it makes no sense to list this charge as a phone charge if it is actually the backbone of the service.

When I called today to address these concerns, I waited on hold the first time for 48 minutes. The customer rep was in Jamaica and he couldn't answer the most basic questions and I could hardly hear him. Then he transferred me and I had to wait on hold another 15 minutes. The next rep was much better and very professional. She pulled her supervisor into our call and her supervisor was very professional too. The issue is that there was nothing the supervisor could do except offer me a $8 monthly discount for one year.

This does not play out as fair in light of a product that does not perform as advertised and is down intermittently every month.

My message for TDS is: "get a grip on what your customers are saying". In minutes I found many (too many) complaints online that tell a story of a company that is making bank with inferior products. Enjoy it while you can as there will be competition coming and droves of customers will jump at the prospect of a more honest company with speeds as advertised and more reasonable customer service wait times.

Cathy and Marina are good customer service professionals, so this isn't on them, TDS is lucky to have them.

TDS Telecommunications cbs/abc blocked in bend

How dare you, during the middle of a pandemic limit access to news sources, you should be ashamed of yourselves. Give direct tv access to cbs and abc. We canceled our contract with bend broadband because of lies and deceit over internet speeds and reliability as well as consitent dropouts of tv service. You should not hold private citizens hostage to your negotiation attempts with direct tv.

TDS Telecommunications Late charges - payment processing

Complaint against TDS Telecom,
On two or more occasions now I have been charged a $10 late charges that I don't believe were late.
The latest instance, is for the June/July 2020 service period due 7/27/20.
Because of upcoming vacation, I mailed payment for 2 services ($20 late charges) no later than 7/17/2020, 10 days before due date.
My checks were presented and/or cleared by bank on 8/3/2020.

I don't believe the USPS is at fault. For other checks written and mailed on and around 7/17, the longest time to clear the bank was 4 days!

I believe it is their bill/mail processor. But TDS doesn't care, because guess what, they get to charge late fees.

Previous this year I was charged late fees when the payment was mailed approximately 8 - 10 days before the due date.

In that case I was credited with one of the late fees thought both were in the same envelope.
I just had the experience of waiting 33 minutes without getting a customer service representative. This is after another attempt when I gave up after 25 minutes.

The TDS internet service is expensive and slow, but I see many people have complained about this.

TDS Telecommunications Internet service

TDS is the only option I have for Land line and Internet. the next closest provider is 7+ miles away, and that is AT&T. I started using TDS 13 years ago. The customer service and Internet speeds and packages were good at that time. The Internet has not improved in those 13 years. Customer Service is nothing like it used to be which used to be the best I had seen. I pay $70+ for a land line and 5Mbps Internet. My son pays $50 for 200Mbps Internet 15 miles away with AT&T.

I contacted TDS about plans to update the speeds in our area. They pointed me to the FCC. Apparently they only improve services in areas that the FCC will give them a grant to do it. The FCC erroneously has our area listed as having multiple providers. This is incorrect. I put in a complaint to the FCC. I contacted TDS to let them know and they really did not seem to care. They said they could do nothing but I could complain to the FCC.

Thanks for the help TDS (not), it would only make your business better and your customers happier if you would lift a finger to correct the FCC. I am sure you have more leverage than I do.

TDS Telecommunications home telephone/hardline-landline

been a customer for a year and am having same issues since service started STATIC and BUZZING with no change after MANY MANY service calls and have given up on service because I do not want to waste time for no satisfaction have lost work waiting have given up family time and personnel time talked to neighbors and they have same problems my reason for landline is for emergency reason because of poor cell service in area

TDS Telecommunications internet

There is a ninety dollar and forty cent previous balance that TDS iOS having a hard time telling where this charge came from and what it's for. Payments were made as agreed. I pay the bills directly from my Bank. I do not believe in companies that automatically withdraw money from my bank. Watch out for monthly billing with flaws that cost you $ and provide them a better return.

TDS Telecommunications internet speed

Speeds not being received as advertised, was told we get a upgrade in October, one week left and we seem to be getting worst? Had a Tech say they were waiting on electricity company to power new equipment, please let me know estimated time we can look for improvements. Dail road in BlueRidge ga. Service lines here are getting aged, been here since 1992 and all neighborhoods have had phone problems and internet problems. We are in the Heatherwood section on mountain creek road.

TDS Telecommunications price and quality of service

Send out promotions for 29.95 but call and say not. Available, 80.00 is price, say have high speed but don't, had for 10yrs terrible services, have monoply on sevices. False advertising. sucks to have a 1star rated company for your only option, to bad they're no accountable to service and services offered, feels good to vent a little bit even if nothing will change, stuck with phone hotspot, much faster than tds but limited use

TDS Telecommunications tds is forcing internet users to pay for unwanted telephone service

TDS Telecom is forcing me to pay for a feature-packed telephone service I do not want nor do I need, in order to use their Internet service. The telephone package includes long distance, caller ID deluxe, call forwarding, caller ID block, call waiting, etc., all features for which I have no need. Furthermore, the home has no modem or telephone jacks (that I'm aware of). However, they are forcing me to pay more than $35 per month for the unwanted telephone service. I don't even own a landline phone that could be used with the service. I don't understand how the local or state governments can allow this abuse of power. It's bad enough that I'm having to pay almost twice what the same level of Internet service cost me at my previous home but it makes no sense to me that I must pay for a telephone package I don't want or need.

TDS Telecommunications handicap space

It's NOT OK to block a handicap parking space! Ever! It's got your name on it, it's right in front of your door, and there are more of the same cones inside your office!
Your office is right next to another office, and some of those people need the handicap space!...just for a SHORT period of time.
And your office rarely has the public coming/going, so there is no reason!
And there are no safety hazards visible to make this necessary!
This is not, as in never, ok.

TDS Telecommunications internet

We have been having problems with our internet for the past couple months. Internet cuts off and on. Sometimes for a couple seconds to hours. Every time I call customer service I get the same thing. There is a outage in your area. They refuse the send a technicians out every time I've called and refuse to let me talk to a supervisor. I have yet to receive any kind of help about this problem.

TDS Telecommunications slow internet connection

When I had dial up service I used to build websites for friends and watch youtube videos with no problem. When I was "upgraded" to dsl that all ended. I've called many times over the past years about my terrible internet connection and first they told me it was my computer so I saved and bought a new Dell. Still poor connection so I called and called. I called not too long ago and was told by a tech that they knew about the connectivity problem for about 6 YEARS and had my area scheduled for an upgrade. When I asked when the upgrade would happen he said he had no clue. When I posted this info on the FB forum for TDS an agent gave a number and told me to call. I called and explained my problem...the tech said, "What do you expect me to do about it?' I told him that I was told to call this number and he said he didn't know why. What a way to do business. I have been a customer for 24 years and I'm thoroughly frustrated and disgusted. I made a complaint to the FCC and should be hearing back from them soon. They've assigned me an agent. I'm checking out other servers in my area and had no idea there was so many. Today it only took FB 7 1/2 minutes to load... Can't wait to be able to be able to watch videos and multitask again. Good riddance TDS!

(Difficult to provide dates of service...every day since we DSL in my area is the best guess. I knew how ridiculously slow it was because I worked just a few miles away, was on a different service, and used the same brand and make of computer.)

TDS Telecommunications internet installation

TDS is extremely unprofessional, with timely scheduling, staff and attendance. My family and I moved on the 29th of June, we have been waiting for TDS to come and install our internet on the 8th of July from 12-5 pm I took off work BECAUSE they could not provide a more narrowed time frame, ONLY for them to call me at 1:12pm to tell me that there technician went home early and because of that, I'd have to reschedule for the 12th of July. I'm am completely beyond disappointed and irritated with TDS and there unprofessionalism, it is completely unacceptable and needs to be addressed immediately for customer satisfaction.

TDS Telecommunications TDS False advertising. Bait and Switch

TDS sent out a promotional flyer that offered phone, internet, TV for a great price for two years. After contacting them to inquire about this promo, I was told it was a misprint and they wouldn't honor the pricing. I went up the chain but all of them said the same thing. They said they wouldn't honor the offer and besides, their fine print states that they can change the pricing at any time. What is the purpose of having a 2 year offer of a discount that they can change at any time. It seems like the old BAIT and Switch. Buyer BEWARE.

TDS Telecommunications phone service with us cellular

My service has gotten really bad with US Cellular. My issues started approximately a year ago. Phone would stop working altogether or my maps would just go blank. Phone would re-route me to places unknown or not at all. Called customer service several times to see what the problem were and they could not tell me what was wrong or could fix the problem. They would tell me that they have towers everywhere and did not know what was going on. Now the phone is almost inoperable everywhere... Where I live, work and places I love to visit.

Ask the US Cellular if they had a new contract/provider/owner and they would always tell me. "No." Looked online after about a year of trouble and of trusting the US Cellular Agents word, and realize that the company has been bought out by the worst company... TDS! To this day, the US Cellular reps are misleading and lying to customers by telling us that they still own the company.

They need to be honest with their customers and tell us what they did instead of lying to us! No one wants TDS service! They are the worst out there! So sad...

TDS Telecommunications internet

I live on Star Creek Rd in Morganton Ga. I would like to know if everyone who has TDS for internet service had their bill increase? What is it with Fannin County? My service is getting worse and my bill is increased. I have lived here 19 years and my service is getting worse. Is there not a way to get what you pay in this county? Why is it that there is not any competition for internet service in this county? I think our representatives need to investigate this situation or maybe they are the ones to be investigated. Why are citizens of this county being taken advantage of by companies who don't deliver what is promised to consumers but are allowed to increase their prices!

TDS IS SO BAD! I have not had TV or internet since Sunday. It is now Wednesday. They have done nothing about it. I’m certain I will still get a bill though. They were supposed to call me this morning at 8am. It’s 9 am and I’ve heard nothing. This is ridiculous!

I have had nothing except FRAUD with your company from the start. I have gone in person and paid for my bill every month and still my services was cut off twice and ALL of my deposits were taken.

I have received duplicate original bills in 2017. I even closed my original account and opened another one. Except the other account did NOT close. Instead two different accounts were going on at the same time.

TDS was supposed to take over my account with Century Link and TDS even billed me for phone number [protected] instead of [protected].

I paid $167.00 in May 2017 and the account was opened as Cathy Brooks. On 6/29/17, my name was changed to Cathy S. S. Brooks. I paid twice in September and again told Gina to help me. on 9/6/17 and 9/22/17. Two payments were made on 2/25/18 and 2/l/18. I paid twice in June. One on 6/27/18 and 6/6/18.. I DID NOT USE ANY of these services after September 10th because I was in Ohio yet the bills kept coming.. The due date was on the 1st of every month except April 2017 and it was 4/12/17. August l, 2017 was the last time I was billed on the first then all the bills had the 12th.

Thoughout September 2017 my TDS line was compromised. I was unable make or receive calls. Throughout September and October TDS was supposed to be investigating/. I had tickets for 7/14/17 #[protected], ; On 9/1/17 there was ticket #1126537 and in November 2017 ticket #[protected]. After I was transferred to Advance Voice and no one helped me after that.

Also this [protected] number is connected to Christopher Wrenk. When I had a fender bender the lady told me my caller ID had this name.

Finally, according to Amazon this number is also connected to a John Brooks. John Brooks is the executor of my estate, supposedly and the public records do show this. Except according to TDS this number my Amazon accould was closed in 2009. This is typical of the identity theft and fraud created by my ex husband and his co horts.

I want ALL of my money refunded since none of my calls got to who I intended. The original phone number with Century Link shows up on my credit reports but nothing for TDS. I do believe this account is severely compromised AND MY PHONE WAS NOT SECURE.
