GoNetspeed UnHappy in CT

I was first told a bunch of untruths by the sales guy. That he would get me credits and discounts, then they came out to install and only had order for wifi.

I ordered phone service as well but thank God they did not install that. They promised me this and that and then in less than one week I received a bill for $96.00 no credits and prorated for the next half of month. NOT. This company is about getting as many installs to comit for the day as possible. they can care less about the customers needs.

Look woman, discounts expire and if you are relying on discounts to pay your bill then perhaps spending less time on your butt updating your 'status ' and more time at a job is the solution? M'kay.

GoNetspeed Reliable but you don't get what you pay for!

So I bought the 1000mbps service. I had my own router so I used that. I never got any higher than high two hundreds for download and my upload was always faster. Which makes no sense. So I finally called and decided to use their router. When the tech was here speed tests were high 400's. So I'm glad I changed to their router. A few hours after he left right back to the exact speeds my router was getting. So a waste of $100! So now since I can't get the speeds they say I should get( 70 to 80 percent wireless of 1000mbps) I'm dropping my service to 500mbps and Dave some money. They are obviously throttling or something!

GoNetspeed Internet service

In the last month or so, my internet service has dropped multiple times a day. I power cycle and reset multiple times a day as well. I have already had two routers this year.

Sometimes the internet starts up on its own, but when it doesn't, I call customer service. The tech support is responsive, but I don't believe I pay for an internet service that requires I have to call customer service multiple times a week to get. When I am in the middle of a business transaction - I can't have the service drop.

Each time I call, I am told the problem is on GNS's end. It is not a line issue. I am NOT told what the underlying problem is and that it will be fixed; I am told I now have internet (for the moment) and that is what is important.

This situation is unacceptable to me. If the problem is not on my end, it is up to GNS to fix their end so I am not calling multiples times a week just to get service.

I believe I have a legitimate consumer complaint.

Desired outcome: Reliable internet (which is what I pay for).

GoNetspeed My experience with GoNetSpeed has been great

My experience with GoNetSpeed has been great. Have had no problems with service and anytime I needed to talk with customer service any issues have been resolved quickly and pleasantly. I recently talked to a customer service rep named Lance who went over and beyond to make sure I was satisfied I have never said that about a cable company before.

I did a review of gone speed a few days ago, I was very frustrated with their service and gave the company a one-star rating. Yesterday, gonetspeed sent a couple of installers over to correct problems with the initial installation. This new work was done very professionally. The workers were very courteous and efficient and certainly deserve a five-star rating. The company has many new people, and sometimes bad things can go wrong. We are not perfect human beings. It was very difficult to get customer service to agree for them to remove what was put into my home by errror. However, they eventually agreed to come over to fix the problem, It turned out to be a difficult job, Certainly, the technology involved would have been impossible for even many professional electricians to do. It took the two gonetspeed workers a couple of hours to fix the problem. This was probably a learning experience for a fairly new company. I received a convincing letter of apology from the company owner. The most important thing is that they did correct the installation. Also, the problems with the high billing that I needed to pay were fixed. The corrected billing now matches the advertised pricing.

They provide great service all around. Their customer service was extremely responsive when I sent them an email and the internet service is as promised; which is reliable and consistently maintains the throughput/speed. Billing is also straightforward. Would recommend GNs to anyone over the incumbent providers.

GoNetspeed I've been a GoNetSpeed customer since October

I've been a GoNetSpeed customer since October . I was so excited to have an option outside of the typical megacorps (in particular the one I loathe the most that owns the bird). They have not let me down. Excellent price and I've had next to no issues in over 3 1/2 years of service. If you have the opportunity to have GoNestSpeed as your ISP, I highly recommend!

I had fiber installed last week. The outside installed ran over my raised garden bed. I was offered two free months of internet but I just want my raised bed replaced. I was told that I was being compensated with the 2 months internet free, but I just want what was broken fixed. Just like the old saying, if you break something you do not own you should replace it.

After switching from DSL I don't ever want to go back to any other type of internet provider. Fiber is way better in terms of speed and reliability than DSL or cable so I highly recommend GoNetspeed to anyone wanting good quality internet.

GoNetspeed Love GoNetspeed!

Love GoNetspeed! So glad we got rid of ***. Had the service for over a year now, priced very reasonably and is very reliable. Service went out only once and the technician was out within an hour. The customer service is great, from walking us through what to expect during sign up to just answering any questions afterwards. Best internet provider around, wish they were in the area earlier.

Switched from *** shortly after GoNetspeed wired my street about 6 months ago. *** had been overcharging for years because of lack of reasonable (*** = inadequate speed) alternatives. Very happy with the change. Installation went very smoothly. I called for customer service the other day and spoke to an actual person after only a couple minutes...never experienced that level of service with ***. Highly recommend them (if they do not currently service your area you can register your interest and when they get critical mass in an area/street, they will run lines).

Ever since switching to gonetspeed I have had consistent service with no disruptions. They notify you days ahead of time if there is going to be maintenance that might cause a brief outage and when I call customer service there is no hold time.

GoNetspeed I made the switch to go net speed just before the covid pandemic hit

I made the switch to go net speed just before the covid pandemic hit. Skeptical I kept my cable company for a additional month which was not needed. Two boys who game never complain. The service was great with a college kid, high school kid and wife all home remotely working. Several storms have come thru and never a issue. Go net speed has been great and far more reliable and faster than The local cable company could provide.

GoNetSpeed, love them... I couldn't be happier. They are an amazing company. The speed is lightning fast.. I love it. I had issues at the very beginning, my router was not powerful enough to handle their speed. They came by several times to help, even though it had nothing to do with GoNetSpeed, they just wanted me to be happy. I now have a perfect router. A NightHawk R7000. I love both. Their customer service is one of the best I've encountered. The staff, pleasant, patient and very knowledgeable. Cut the cord, call them you won't be sorry. Louise D

GoNetspeed Honestly

Honestly. The only reason I give them 1 star is because you can't just leave none. Being charged for 2 months with being caught up on all bills is a little excessive especially with all other bills going up. The lady I talked to, which I can't remember her name, told me I was past due with bills even when she told me all dates that I have paid and the exact amount which lead to me being paid in full besides this month when I got charged double for no reason and no explanation really. If this wasn't the only internet provider for my town I would instantly switch today

I was having trouble getting access to a European website because they were blocking a range of IP addresses that included mine. This is not something the average user would be able to diagnose within months. GoNetSpeed tech support responded appropriately... even went a little extra to research my specific problem on the internet. We got the trouble resolved within 2 days. I have no confidence this would have been resolved to any satisfaction if it were handled by, for example, *** Thanks for quality service support, GoNetSpeed! Now managers please don't f-up a good thing.

They came days before the scheduled installation day and installed all cabling to the house. I wouldn't have known they were even there if my dog didn't start barking. The called the day of installation and asked if they could do the installation earlier in the day because they had openings. They were professional every step of they way and made sure everything was working and clean before they left. After doing multiple types of speed testing using streaming of movies and music, gaming, and online speed tests, I can say they are faster and cheaper then COX cable. Both wireless and wired

When I heard GoNetSpeed was in my area I called to schedule service. I had heard excellent reviews about the service, the customer service and technical support. Their advertisements stated that you go a human to talk to and they were friendly. Well everything they stated was true. From my initial sign up, service installation and connection went perfectly. Shortly after I did have a need for technical support and everyone on the phone was friendly and helpful. When things got a little more complicated technical support went to detailed emails and with the patience and friendliness of Darren, Albert and Casey, all my issues were rectified. I would highly recommend GoNetSpeed to everyone! The speeds advertised were as promised and their customer interactions are amazing!

GoNetspeed Just had an installation of GoNetSpeed to my home and could not be happier with the service

Just had an installation of GoNetSpeed to my home and could not be happier with the service. The installation was flawless. I notified GoNetSpeed of my special installation requirements and a representative visited my house prior to the installation to assess how to perform the installation. The crew ran the line from the pole to my house in heavy rain and the installer was prompt and able to bring the line into my house with no complication. Service was up quickly and the performance is so much quicker than Comcast; 150 mbps symmetrical (about 50% faster down and 10x going up)! I'm also saving hundreds of dollars per year on my home internet service. I cannot recommend this service any higher. You will be more than happy not only with the performance of the service, but with the money you are saving on a monthly basis.

GoNetspeed I have been a customer with the service for almost a year now

I have been a customer with the service for almost a year now. GoNetSpeed offers the best prices for servicing in my area, as well as the best overall service compared to other ISPs in my area. I have had almost all of them and GoNetspeed has been the best by far. Recently I came across an issue with the networking that left me unable me to connect to a certain IP. After extensive diagnostics, the Technical Manager reached out to me and told me that the issue was on the server host's end and that they would contact them in order to resolve the issue. 3 days later my issue was solved and I had no problems. They even helped with postponing charges to my account in order to make sure everything I was dealing with was resolved. If you are in the area for GoNetspeed's services I HIGHLY recommend them for anyone on a budget or someone who want's the best possible speeds, GoNetspeed will have you covered!

Excellent ISP: Friendly and prompt customer support, easy to install, simple billing, great service. I tell everyone that there is no point in even considering alternatives: GoNetSpeed is the best provider available. I've only had to talk to them twice by phone (a question about billing and when I moved), and both times, I spoke with a real person right away, who promptly took care of my issues. And both times, their customer service reps were really delightful. The online scheduling is a model for what you'd want from any company. There was such high demand in my area that it took a while to get an appointment, but it was definitely worth the wait. In the year that I've had GoNetSpeed, the only time my service went out was because a trunk line was damaged, and GoNetSpeed had it solved in 12 hours. I also found the outage announcement on the main web page, with a description of what happened and how long it was estimated to take. (Seems like with other companies, service interruption is more frequent, and the burden of resolving it is always on the customer.) After struggling with slow connections on other ISPs (really a drag when teleworking), all of my problems disappeared once I switched to GoNetSpeed. The contracts are simple and straightforward. No gimmicks, no changes, no equipment rentals. It's really a relief to find a competent, trustworthy company.
