TAP lost our baby stroller, a UPPAbaby VISTA V2 Duo (Lucy color, with bassinet), on flight TP931 from Zurich to Lisbon on 16 August 2025.
Booking number: Z9Y7U2. Baggage claim files: [protected] (original) and [protected] (reissued).
Today is 2 December 2025 - 108 days since the stroller went missing - and TAP has still not located it, has not issued an official confirmation of loss, and has not properly started a compensation procedure. Every time we contact them, we hear the same empty promise: “we’ll check and get back to you,” and then nothing happens.
Between three family members, we’ve made around 200 phone calls and spent roughly €1000 on calls over these months. Much later we discovered that TAP had even mixed up our baggage file with someone else’s, which explains the chaos and the contradictory information we kept receiving.
The stroller cost €890, and we have the receipt and all supporting documents, yet TAP continues to ignore its obligation to resolve the claim.
My advice: do not trust TAP with valuable items, especially baby strollers or children’s belongings. If you can, never check them in. This has been the worst airline experience we’ve ever had.
Recommendation: Save your nerves and don't check expensive and important items in your luggage.
