Synchrony Bank Old Navy, Forever 21, ; JC Penney Cards

Each of these accounts had credit lines dropped and were closed for no reason. All were paid in full. This damages my credit. Your company treats creditors like DIRT. I have multiple cards I am working to pay down. Your spiteful decisions have nothing to do with credit reporting. No other card behaves this way. Many have raised my credit. These cards should be reopened.

Synchrony Bank Loans

My husband and I have three separate loans by phone. We don't get paper statements anymore. I have the account numbers, but I am told the account numbers don't match your records online. When I call (i've tried about 12 phone numbers), they give me the same account balances over and over for one of the accounts, but I can't get the balances of the other two because there is no option on the phone to get that information. Synchrony wants to know if it is a care account, a house account, a home design account - I dont know and I dont care - I have an account number, that's all I have for three separate accounts. If I pay them, apparently they get credited - imagine that. If I try to find out any information on any of them, I get the third degree on what type of account it is, told to call separate numbers, need to know what type of account it is, won't take payment by credit card, won't give payoff. Depending on which number you call, they know about one of my accounts but don't have a clue what number I need to call for the other accounts we have. What a nightmare it is to deal with syncrony bank.

Desired outcome: Reinstate paper bills so I can get the information I need.

Synchrony Bank Fraudulently Closed My Account To Negatively Affect My Credit

Was told my account was closed for fraudulent reasons which I disputed. Synchrony stated that I had been delinquent, had too high usage, made payments that were too low. I disputed all these reasons and they still refuse to provide me with facts or instances that they claim were the reason my account was closed. All payments were made on time and all payment as were at least the required payment from billing statement. I actually had more credit available than I owed when the account was closed. I have a credit score of around 800 and no matter how many times I ask Synchrony, they refuse to provide me with any evidence that backs up their claims. Their fraudulent closure of my account can directly affect my good credit. Closing the account lowers my available credit and causes my credit usage ratio to go up, which will lower my credit score. Synchrony refuses to provide me evidence and told me as much in responses to complains I have made through both the BBB and the CFPB.

Desired outcome: Specific examples from Synchrony that back up their fraudulent claims. No generic responses, I want facts.

Synchrony will never explain their motives. The truth is, Synchrony created an algorithm that claims to predict when customers become high risk. It’s proprietary, and even the customer service reps can’t explain it. It’s an obviously flawed algorithm, but Synchrony can’t see the issues with it. It works for them because closed accounts can never become delinquent. It’s a self-fulfilling prophesy, but their own people can’t see that very obvious flaw. The best alternative is to forget Synchrony altogether. When you see a retailer whose card is issued by Synchrony, move on. It’s not worth the hassle.

Synchrony Bank Logging into the site

This is the third month in a row I have had this problem. When I logged in using Google Chrome, I get the "we're sorry, blah, blah, blah." Try again later. Well, the real cure is just to launch Internet Explorer. The site works like a charm. Somebody at the Synchrony network staff needs to fix this.

Desired outcome: Fix the site so it will work with Google Chrome.

Synchrony Bank They stopped accepting my payments

In September of 2020, I opened a Sweetwater account which is a musical instrument distributor. I made purchases, and payments were made through the app on my phone. This system worked perfectly until this past July when my payments started getting rejected. Nothing was changed on my part- account/routing numbers, nothing. My bank, a credit union, looked into it and saw no irregularities. After speaking with 7 reps, an Account manager, sending certified letters, the only thing Synchrony could tell me is that this issue exists only with Credit Unions. So basically, it's up to me to somehow get a payment to them. I don't use debit cards, and I haven't used checks in years. My CU said nothing has changed on their end. So now I have to physically mail in a payment which I don't have time for. Neither institution knows anything. How does something like this just stop working?

Synchrony Bank My synchrony bank account

Completely stupid bank open my account deposit it and initial six dollars into it while I waited on my other payment to come in with my payment of $5000 at the bank they lock my bank account and put it under review for my first deposit that stupid what the hell you have a bank account if you can't deposit money into it and now my account is going to be under review for 1 to 2 months what kind of [censored] is that what is the person supposed to do how am I supposed to get my money that my checks go into how am I supposed to live if I can't have access to my money as soon as Soon as my account gets unlocked I'm going to withdraw my money and I am closing my account

Synchrony Bank Credit cards

Synchrony closed 7 of 8 credit accounts with them. I have a credit score of 762. I paid all my accounts in full or used promotional offers to pay zero interest. I have a 100% on-time payment history with every creditor. The reason given for closing the accounts: I'm a high risk not to pay. They left one account open with a $10, 000 credit line. If I were such a high risk, shouldn't they have closed that account as well? I'm not sure of the method behind the closing madness. Even speaking to them doesn't shed light on what they've done. Lesson learned. I won't shop where their cards are issued and I'll never use the remaining card I have.

Synchrony Bank Promotional Balance and deferred interest

CareCredit MasterCard is useful for paying for health related services. Each supplier provides interest free promotions for big ticket items ( dental and vision ). Used this successfully with no problems until May 2021.

After paying a fixed amount each month for more than 18 months on promotional balances was slammed with a really high interest payment. Customer service and manager refuse to use discretion to waive interest payments even though I made a large lump sum payment that if applied would have cleared the promotional balance.

Terrible customer service.

Synchrony Bank They used my information and I just called to ask a questions

I had an account with Ashley furniture and they closed my account for inactivity. I paid them on time and never gave a cause for concern. So I called and asked if they would reconsider at no time did I ask for them to pull my credit. They did and I received an email saying they denied me. I never gave permission for them to pull my credit again. The original car was from
Several years ago . I did not authorize anything . Getting in touch with them is a hassle and I can't even find an Email to send this information or request the reason they pulled my credit without authorization.

Synchrony Bank Incorrect information on my credit file and dispute

I am needs of a urgent resolution; this is affecting my credit. I have a open dispute that is currently still unresolved from 3/2021. I am currently purchasing a home and need this resolved and closed before closing. Please contact me [protected].
The merchant breached their contract; he took the adjustable base bed back and left me with bed rails - which is not what I purchased- he has ignored all communication to resolve this issue from March, 2021

I have a dispute that is open and has been open since March, 2021 and I have not heard or receive any correspondence as to a resolution. The merchant is charging me $2800 for something that I don't have he never delivered a proper bed. He delivered a product that was defective and had an issue to replace it this was considered a breach of contract and I asked him to please terminate my contract and refund me my money's Wells Fargo refunded me my deposit and I'm asking s synchrony bank; To do the same and not paid the merchant this 2800 because I do not have a bed which is what I purchased an adjustable base bad as for the mattress he refuse to take it back and my attorney has written two letters asking him to collect his property which he has ignored. This is why we are in dispute because that's how he has dealt with me since day one was the ignore me ignore my concerns ignore the fact that the bed was defective the supporting metal pieces on the bed were missing causing the bed to sink adjustable base bed it was not properly supported because of missing and defective pieces the merchant has ignored me and continue to ignore me he had some guys deliver to bed rails no boxspring and even then that is not what I ordered and that is not what I should be paid be paying for please resolve this issue as I am in a closing and need this resolved ASAP for the underwriting department or a letter stating the status of my account the true status.

Synchrony Bank Not processing my payments on time.

Complaint: Never received a first payment email statement! Payments made over the phone was not processed the day and date made But, held until after the due date so they could tack on late charges. I was never told or emailed regarding any late charges. There is problems getting anyone to answer customer service calls! Every call goes to a third world country. They will not and cannot help with anything for which a customer is having problems. This is not a bank of trust or integrity. Deceiving!

Synchrony Bank Access to billing

I have had an account since 1/21 and have paid $200, 00 per month for the last 8 months I called to get my balance to pay off before the interest took effect and could not get past the automated teller. My problem is every time I receive a new card, I destroy the old one. So I don't know the original account number that I am trying to pay off. I am going out of my mind trying to contact you. Please advise what my balance without the 29% interest and where to send it to and I will pay immediately.

Synchrony Bank Amazon Card

This morning, I received the following email:
We didn't receive your first payment.

Hi BARBARA, This is a reminder that you missed your first payment for your Amazon.com Store Card account ending in 4017. Your new total minimum payment is $49.00.
I received this bank card about a month ago, and I HAVE NOT USED this for ANYTHING! After enduring your hopeless robot questions, was finally able to connect to a human being, which was followed later by someone who claimed to be a "supervisor." I was told that Amazon had charged my HBO subscription and Prime Video Account on the card (without my permission) and until this email this morning I was not aware of it. Neither the alleged human being that came on the phone in the first round, or the "supervisor" that talked to me after the "human being" hung up on me, knew what was going on either. After being on the phone for 3/4 of an hour, I was asked by the alleged supervisor to "hang on" while he called Amazon. I told him that I had already endured enough time on the phone without success. I asked him to tell Amazon, that I wanted the card CANCELLED, and the billing for my HBO and Prime Accounts to be done as they have been done for several years. I said I would NOT stay on the line, and he insists that he can't do anything unless I stay on the line. WHAT Sort of "customer service is this? I hung up.

Desired outcome: Cancel Amazon Card, resume billing for Prime Video and Amazon Prime as it has always been done.

Synchrony Bank Promotional Screw Up/Interest To My Account

Allow me to begin by stating that Synchrony Customer Service is the worst I have experienced in my life. I have placed FIVE phone calls (each with a hold time of 40-60 minutes) and the issue I am about to describe is still not resolved. On my third call, I was told that all I needed to do was fax the requested documentation and my account would be adjusted. I did that and nothing happened. I called for a fourth time. I was transferred to one supervisor, then another, and just when I thought I was getting somewhere, the customer service agent hung up. I called again the next day. SAME THING. I was transferred several times just to have an agent disconnect the line. I did not receive a call back either time, even though I made sure they had my number in case we were disconnected.
​The issue that I have been working diligently to get resolved is as follows. Last year, I purchased goods through a local vendor using a Synchrony credit account. On the initial paperwork that I received; it states that the interest free promotion ends on 08/19/2021. However, I was charged back-interest in its entirety on my June statement. I faxed my records of the August expiry date (the requested documentation mentioned above), yet the interest still has not been removed from my account - a total of $3, 182.56.
​My remaining balance, less interest, is $930.64. This will be paid in full prior to the August 19th promotion expiration date. I am asking, again, please remove the interest from my account. This was an error on Synchrony's part.

You are sending mail to my home address, 504 Eastview St. SW, Albuquerque, NM 87105. addressed to Anthony Martinez. Anthony Martinez does NOT live at this address, and never has. My name is Ellery Worthen, I have lived at this address since the house was built in 1978.
I have no idea who Anthony Martinez is nor where he lives, but I want you to STOP sending me his mail. You can reach me at the above address. I have tried to call, but all your numbers are for customers, and I am not a customer.
Please acknowledge receipt of this message to the above address, and let me know you are no longer going to send me his mail. Thank you.

Why do y'all keep cutting off my cards in good standing...Y'all messing up people credit score doing mess like that I will never do anymore business with y'all again it should be a lawsuit against y'all for doing people like this especially in a time of a pandemic going on...I'm look into how I can start a class action lawsuit myself against y'all...

I had 4 credit cards to various stores through Synchrony Bank, all in good standing, never made a late payment, and only ever came close to maxing out one card. None of them had a balance on them. Today I receive a notice in the mail that all of my accounts have been closed!

No warning. No notice. No reason, as I have never made a late payment.

This is ridiculous. Poor business practice to destroy the credit of long-time, on-time-paying customers.

Desired outcome: I want my credit cards back or at least someone to look into this "bank."

Synchrony Bank Home zone

Opened an account through HomeZone and had a $2, 000 credit limit. Paid double payments and then 4 payments at once. Every time my account was evaluated they dropped my limit to what I owed. In turn that drops my score 15-20 points and the next time I pay they do it again. Continuously by their own hand dropping my score to adjust and decrease my account limit keeping my CC account with them maxed out. Bad business and will never have another Synchrony account again. I don't care what dept. store has them. In fact every dept. store I find that has Synchrony as their Credit company is getting a bad online review warning people away from them. Did some research and there was a class action lawsuit as well as a Walmart lawsuit against them so I should have known. If you can't do good business with WalMart you are the problem.

Synchrony Bank Worst Customer Service

My first call was on 8/12/21 regarding the fact that I had paid my balance in full (over $1400) yet my available balance said $10. I called csumer service (so called) and spoke with Victor Creed who advised me that my full balance would clear within a day. I checked online and hit noe says I have $11 available. I called this morning (8/ 13) and spoke with Louie who kept interrupting me repeatedly and proceeded to tell me that my balance wouldn't be available until 8/20? I could have saved a lot of time and aggravation on the phone if the previous representative had given me The correct information. The second rep was very rude. These empleo need to be retrained. They are incompetent.

Synchrony Bank Worst Bank Ever!

Each time I make a payment on a card owned by Synchrony Bank, they lower my credit limit which puts a hit in my credit rating each time. I paid off the care credit vet bill timely, and they cancelled the credit account. This banks practices will ruin your credit rating. I filed a complaint with the BBB and they just give a spiel about how they review accounts. They took over QVC and merged with HSN and my credit bill skyrockted with charges. Worst company ever!
