I own a company in Pennsylvania. We had a group life insurance policy with Sun Life for over five years. This year I asked them to make a change to our policy (reduced coverage) at the January renewal. I finally received a revised invoice in March, paid the bill, and forgot about it (it's life insurance, after all). I tried to log onto my employer portal in October and found my access blocked. When I called a CSR, she told me my policy had been canceled in February. Sun Life had taken my payment, canceled the policy, and neve informed me it was canceled or offered to return the payment. Something is wrong with this company.
Recommendation: Stay the hell away from Sun Life
