Steak 'n Shake review: all of it

Manager no where to be seen, 16 dirty tables by the time I left. Staff running around yelling across the store. No body knew what to be doing. My server got my drink order said she would be back. Waited 10 minutes before she came back. Took my order, dropped off the food and never saw her again. No refills nothing. Yes they was busy but I used to be a manager. The staff that was there was saying things they shouldn't be saying. One guy is ringing out guest. Yelling trying to get someone else to cash people out. So he can do something else. When he got off he said I'm not doing anything else. Nobody else wants to do anything. No body was cleaning tables. People waiting to be sat because staff can't clean there tables. Poor management and not engaged staff. The manager was on the drive thru. She didn't know what was going on when she was up front. Complaining about only having 4 servers all the time. I get that your short staffed. But that's when you have to step up as a manager and mange your team better. I will never go back to that location. My fries where over cooked and tasted nasty, my salad was brown, and my daughters food was not even that hot. Onion rings where wet and soggy. Not a good experience at all!
