I have purchased 2 trays of chicken on 2/16/2011 packaged by Stater Bros. The same day (today) I opened one of them, when I cut the plastic wrap the meat was STINKING, had a putrid smell, It made me sick, I turned over one of the chicken pieces it was GREEN. I went back to return the chicken, they take for ever to give your money back, I think they do it intentionally, so you dread on returning it.
While I was there I looked at the other chicken trays on the shelf, they were GREEN. I pointed it out to the meat service employee, he just ignored me. I guess they will leave it there so someone else can buy it and get sick. BE CAREFUL ! I will not buy meat from Stater Bros. The house still stinks form the chicken. I had enough.

Bad salmon expiration dare was for 11-13-2014, date of purchase 11-12-2014
I brought it home opened the salmon, and it smelled really bad, it had milky residue,
I feel like Stater Bros integrity has gone down the drain! :(
Lately the NY and RE steaks I've been getting from SB seem flat and it's seems they are soaking stringy wet after cooking. Not juicy but wet, watery, squirt. Like they've been soaked in water before packaging.
Very Sad!
