This morning I went to the Staters on Kendal St. for the sole purpose to buy 4 bottles of Kensise Plum Wine, with a discount of 30% making each cost $5.49. There were only 2 bottles on the shelf. I asked the clerk if they would consider a slight discount because they did not have 4 bottles. The clerk was very sweet and said, "never hurts to ask". I tracked down the Manager (Anthony) and explained the situation to him, he replied "NO I can not do that! Then told me that he would think about it and IF he saw me before I left the store he would let me know what he had decided on.
Firstly, it was my intention to buy 4 bottles of the wine and get my 30% discount!
Secondly, it is not my fault that there were only 2 bottles on the shelf.
Third, I should not have been treated like a child with "Let me think about it".
(This is the only Staters that seems to carry this wine) because I cannot find it anywhere else. I also advised Anthony of this.
I was so angry, I left my cart and what was in it and walked out of the store.
I have never been made to feel like this by any other Manager at Staters in the 35 years I have shopped there.
Cordially,
Jo Beth Claytor
