SSM Health Unprofessional and Unfriendly Staff at SSM Health

I went to SSM Health and I gotta say, the staff there is not the friendliest. They seem like they don't really care about the patients, just the money. It's like they're only there for the paycheck, ya know? I wouldn't go there if I didn't have to switch doctors. The whole vibe of the place just feels unprofessional.

SSM Health Unsatisfactory Experience with SSM Health: Poor Customer Service and Unfair Policies

Health. I had a bad experience with them and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

So, I had an appointment with SSM Health and I had to cancel it. I tried to do it through their automation system by pressing 2 on the phone. But, guess what? They sent me a letter saying that they won't see me anymore because I didn't cancel 24 hours before. I mean, come on! That's not fair, right? I tried to cancel it as soon as I could and they still punished me for it.

And let's talk about their customer service. It's not the best, to say the least. I had a bad experience with them and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. They need to improve their communication skills and treat their patients with more respect.

Overall, I'm not happy with SSM Health and I won't be going back there anytime soon. If you're looking for a healthcare provider, I suggest you look elsewhere.

SSM Health Terrible Customer Service and Overcharging: My Experience with SSM Health

Yo, so I had a pretty bad experience with SSM Health. They charged me for a doctor visit even though I only saw a medical assistant for like five minutes. And let me tell you, trying to call their customer service was a nightmare. The phone machine was so confusing and I couldn't even get through to a real person. And when I finally did, the staff were super rude and unprofessional. Like, come on, I'm just trying to get some help here. Anyway, I ended up filing a complaint with Mediare OIG because this is just not okay. Don't waste your time with SSM Health, y'all.

SSM Health Disappointing Patient Care at SSM Health: Lack of Respect, Privacy, and Dignity

SSM Health ain't the best hospital out there. They don't seem to care about their patients at all. You won't get any respect, privacy, or dignity from them. They're cold and uncaring, and the doctors will leave you waiting for hours on end. The nurses are just as bad, disappearing when you need them the most. Patient care is a joke to them. If you can, I'd suggest going somewhere else.

SSM Health Disappointing Experience with SSM Health: Lack of Professionalism and Compassion from Office Staff

I recently had an experience with SSM Health that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I reached out to my doctor through their website and received a response from a physician's assistant instead. While I appreciate the effort to respond quickly, I was hoping to speak directly with my doctor.

I was experiencing symptoms of bronchitis and called to make an appointment. Unfortunately, the earliest available appointment was a month away. I understand that scheduling can be challenging, but this was a bit of a letdown.

To make matters worse, the woman who answered the phone hung up on me. I was taken aback by this and called back, only to have the same thing happen again with a different woman. This lack of professionalism and basic courtesy was frustrating and left a bad taste in my mouth.

I will say that I have had positive experiences with Dr. Dye in the past. However, the behavior of the office staff on the phone caused me to give SSM Health a one-star rating. If it were possible to give no stars, I would have done so.

Overall, I was disappointed with my recent experience with SSM Health. While I appreciate the efforts of the medical staff, the behavior of the office staff on the phone showed zero compassion and professionalism. I hope that they can improve in this area in the future.

SSM Health Impersonal Care and Confusing Website: My Experience with SSM Health

I gotta say, SSM Health's website, ssmhealth.com, is a bit of a head-scratcher. I mean, who has the time or the smarts to navigate through all that medical jargon? It's like they expect us to be doctors or something! And don't even get me started on MyChart. I mean, what even is that? It's like they want us to spend all day on the computer trying to figure out what our test results mean. Ain't nobody got time for that!

And let's talk about the care itself. It's like they don't even care about us as people anymore. Doctors barely even examine us these days. They just shuffle us from one specialist to another like we're some kind of medical hot potato. And don't even get me started on the wait times. I had a doctor take TWO WHOLE WEEKS to read an important test. Like, what were they doing in the meantime? Playing Candy Crush?

It's all just so frustrating. I miss the old days when doctors actually cared about their patients and took the time to get to know them. Now it's all just a big, impersonal mess. It's like they don't even see us as people anymore, just a bunch of numbers and test results. It's a sad state of affairs, let me tell you.

SSM Health SSM Health: Prioritizing Profits Over People - A Frustrating and Disappointing Experience

SSM Health is an organization that has left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. While there are a few nurses who are doing their best to provide care, they are hindered by a bureaucratic system that seems to prioritize profits over people. Every time I call, I am forced to navigate an impersonal 800 number, and I can never seem to get a straight answer to any of my questions about care. It's as if no one is following up on anything, whether it's nursing care, transportation, or any other service that SSM is supposed to be providing. And yet, they are still collecting their money from insurance and Medicare, without providing the service that they are being paid for.

Recently, my mother's doctor made the decision to take her off of SSM care because it was so awful. Even as a doctor, she couldn't get SSM to respond to her concerns. It's truly shameful that an organization that is supposed to be providing care to people can be so uncaring and unresponsive. It's clear that SSM is more interested in collecting profits than in actually caring for the people who rely on them.

In my experience, SSM Health is a terrible service that is not worth the time or money. If you're looking for a healthcare provider that actually cares about you and your loved ones, I would recommend looking elsewhere. Don't waste your time with SSM - they're just collecting their profits and not providing the care that you deserve.

SSM Health Disappointing Experience with SSM Health: Lack of Empathy and Miscommunication

I had an experience with SSM Health that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. My son had a tick in his body and part of it was still in him, so I called urgent care for advice. The on call nurse told us that it needed to be removed to prevent infection, so we headed to the ER. However, when we got there, the doctor said there was no need to do anything. We were confused and upset, wondering why the nurse on call had told us to come in if nothing was going to be done.

It was clear to me that the SSM team was not connected, and there was a huge lack of empathy from the doctor in charge. To make matters worse, my son is autistic, and the doctor, Dr. Josvai, was terrible. He spent less than 5 minutes with us and showed no interest in hearing what we thought of his decision to do nothing. There was no empathy or understanding of our situation.

When we expressed our frustration, the doctor simply said, "Sorry you were given the wrong advice." This response was not helpful and did not address our concerns. We left feeling unheard and unsupported.

Overall, my experience with SSM Health was disappointing. While I understand that mistakes can happen, the lack of empathy and understanding from the doctor was unacceptable. If my son develops an infection as a result of this incident, I will be considering legal action.

SSM Health Disappointing Experience at SSM Health: Long Wait, No Services Rendered, and $300 Bill

I was sent to this facility after a five hour stay at urgent care. I live out of town. The urgent care told me they had spoken with the ER and they would try to get me in as soon as possible. What ensued was a six hour wait and I received a $300 bill and no services were rendered. The only person I spoke to was to get my information entered. If they had been honest and said it would take that long I would not have stayed yet they expect me to pay $300. I had a life-threatening growth under my jaw which was a possibility that it could actually choke me. I had to drive in the middle of the night back to Indianapolis to have emergency surgery because they couldn't get me in and they still expect me to pay $300 after talking to customer service. It is apparent from other reviews and the response I got at the hospital that they do not care for people here. Please do not go here save yourself time and money and research a better hospital in the area. I am telling all of my customers that live in the area about the experience.

I was really disappointed with my experience at SSM Health. I had to wait for six hours and received a bill of $300 without any services being rendered. I was really worried about my life-threatening growth under my jaw, which could have choked me. I had to drive back to Indianapolis in the middle of the night to have emergency surgery because they couldn't get me in. Even after talking to customer service, they still expected me to pay $300. It was really frustrating and disappointing. I felt like they didn't care about me or my health. I have read other reviews and it seems like other people have had similar experiences. It's really important to do your research and find a better hospital in the area. I wouldn't recommend SSM Health to anyone.

SSM Health Unprofessional Behavior at SSM Health: Discrimination and Harassment by Staff Member Shannon

I recently visited SSM Health to get allergy shots at Dean SSM East. However, my experience was not pleasant due to the behavior of one of the staff members, Shannon. She tried to force me to get a flu shot, which I declined. Since then, she has been extremely rude to me and my son.

Every time we come in to get our shots, Shannon will wait for someone else in the room to cough, and then she will start screaming across the room, asking if it was me. She does this in a snobby and animalistic way, which is very unprofessional. When the other patient says that they coughed, she shrugs it off. However, she has blamed me for others coughing while her back is turned about five times already. It is clear that she is targeting me and my son because we refused to get the flu shot.

On one occasion, I rubbed my eye for 30 seconds, and she started screaming across the floor in front of other patients. Her behavior is rude, demeaning, and degrading towards me and my son. I am tired of her shouting obscenities across the room in an unprofessional manner. She has put a target on my back and my son's for not getting the flu shot.

During our recent visit, she even tried to lie and say that my son's eyes were red. However, he has allergies, which is why we were there to get the shot. She did not even take his temperature or have a doctor examine him. It is clear that she targets people who refuse to get the flu shot, and her behavior is discriminatory.

I am tired of her attitude, as if she is the greatest gift to earth, and shouting things across a room full of people is okay or normal. She belittles me every chance she gets, especially after I refused the flu shot. It is a wonder how she is able to treat people with such disrespect, like they are animals.

Shannon at Dean East SSM needs to get a new job where she is not around people and does not discriminate or abuse her authority. Overall, my experience at SSM Health was not good due to the behavior of one staff member. I hope that they can address this issue and provide a better experience for their patients.

SSM Health Colonoscopy at SSM St Mary's Gio Vuong

I was given the wrong instructions by the staff for the colonoscopy I partly received.

The instructions given resulted in an inadequate prep. I requested to speak to this Dr after the procedure. He told the nurse over the phone he had already seen and talked to me which he did not. My insurance will only pay for another colonoscopy every 2 years. I believe St Mary's owes me a colonscopy on them. I put all my trust in the facility and this particular Dr. and was totally disappointed. I don't believe my insurance should be billed either. I will contact them.

Desired outcome: Failed outcome for colonoscopy.

I won't be coming back to St. Marys.

I will receive my health care elsewhere

And I will tell everyone ì know my experience

Update by Glenn Pruitt

I received 2 letters from SSM St. Mary's today. They both said basically the same thing. I won't say the namès of the people that sent them.

St. Mary's position is that they have 0 liability in how I followed their employees failed instructions. I think they were at total fault as the only reason I called their office was to find out if I should take my insulin the day of the procedure. That's when I was told I could have lunch the day before the procedure. I have a long history of having alot of polyps but now I won't be able to have another colonoscopy under my insurance for 2 years. This is totally due to a faulty staff and I am the one who must suffer their mistake.⁹ I can't believe their position on this matter.

Update by Glenn Pruitt
Nov 09, 2023 10:10 am EST

I was given the wrong instructions by someone answering the phone in the clinic who apparently was not familiar with the proper procedures. I believe I would have someone more knowledgeable answering those important questions. The woman I spoke with told me it was perfectly fine to eat a lunch day before the procedure since I was diabetic. Turned out Dr Giao Vuong was unable to do a complete colonoscopy.

When I got back to the room I requested to speak to the Dr several times. The nurse told me he was on his way. He never showed up and I left with alot of unanswered questions. Dr Vuong told the nurse he had already spoken with me. This is totally untrue. I was then told he was on another case.

I noticed SSM St. Louis wasted no time billing my insurance for 3,606.50 which I will dispute.. I believe these charges should be reversed immediately. I think St Mary's should do the right and ethical thing to resolve this matter.

I am leaving alot of feedback about my experience.

SSM Health Billing

After receiving care at an ssm health facility in Madison on 4/26/2023, without my insurance card with me, I called a few days later to give them my insurance information. About a week later I received a bill and called the billing department and gave them my insurance information again. Again a few weeks later received yet another bill called again and asked why my insurance still hadn't been billed and they stated that they didn't have my insurance information. At that point I had gotten injured at work so I was on crutches, but I got up hobbled into the room where my wallet was to get my insurance card to give them the information yet again and all of a sudden the woman on the phone began reading off my insurance information to me. Multiple bills since then and again giving my insurance information yet still my insurance never got billed and every time was told that they didn't have the information. Now my bill has gone to collections. Not okay.

Desired outcome: I want my insurance billed and something done or I will be suing. I have insurance bill it.

SSM Health Customer service and Billing

First things first we were out state and when we registered our son they asked for medical insurance information and all that stuff on call and never mentioned that our medical insurance was out of coverage.

We had physical appointment month later nothing was mentioned. We had to do urgent care immediately on weekend because of some trouble my son was facing.

Post another month we start getting bills insane amount and when I call customer service they then say yes we are out of network and they are sorry no one provided that information which is idiotic.

Fast forward we go online to pay bill and we see the amount is more than what is in statement no idea from where charges are coming I am not able to see any details. This is really looting by SSM under medical division in Madison, WI. We paid what we got in our statement but we are not ready to pay extras that are just popping in account.

Desired outcome: Forfeit all charges and refund the amount paid. This all hassle is because of rude and incompetent customer agents.

SSM Health Unprofessional and uncaring staff at SSM Health - not recommended for quality healthcare

I went to SSM Health for a check-up and was seen by a nurse practitioner who was not very nice. She seemed to have a bad attitude and didn't seem to care about me or my health concerns. I felt like she was rushing through the appointment and didn't listen to what I had to say. She also seemed to be very judgmental and made some comments that were not very nice.

Overall, I was not impressed with my experience at SSM Health. I would not recommend this place to anyone who is looking for quality healthcare. The staff seems to be very unprofessional and not very caring. I hope that they can improve their services in the future, but for now, I would suggest looking for another healthcare provider.

SSM Health Unprofessional ER Staff at SSM Health: A Review

I gotta say, SSM Health ain't the best. Their ER staff is just plain unprofessional and pathetic when it comes to getting things done fast. I mean, come on, when you're in the ER, you need things done quick! They really need to do some internal investigation to figure out what's going on.

SSM Health SSM Health's Billing Department: Poor Customer Service and Incompetent Accounting Skills

I gotta say, my experience with SSM Health's billing department has been less than stellar. Every time I call, it seems like they just hang up on me without even trying to help. It's like they don't even care about their job or the people they're supposed to be serving. And don't even get me started on their accounting skills - they can't seem to keep track of anything! It's like they're just making it up as they go along.

I mean, I get it - billing can be a tough job. But that's no excuse for treating people like garbage and not doing your job properly. If they want to get paid, they need to step up their game and start actually doing their job. It's not rocket science, people!

Overall, I wouldn't recommend SSM Health to anyone who values good customer service and competent billing practices. If you're looking for a healthcare provider that actually cares about you and your needs, look elsewhere. Trust me, you'll be better off.
