Love the Rewards, Hate the app location
Smoothie King is great. The rewards are solid in this app. And I could easily give a 5 star review if they would just fix one thing: How the app auto selects the location you are ordering from. Multiple times now, the app has randomly switched what location it is auto choosing for me to order from - which causes problems. For example, for the last several weeks, I have only ordered from the Airport Road location after working out at my gym. It is the location that is closest to the gym and it is the location I ordered from consistently for at least the last two weeks. For some reason, the app decided that it wanted to automatically choose the 9 mile location, even though I did not change anything. So when I showed up to pick up my smoothie from Airport, it wasn’t there. I felt badly because Topanga (the girl working at Airport) covered for it and made one there for me - but that means the 9 mile location had to throw out a perfectly good smoothie. It was also annoying for me because I had to wait for the new smoothie to be made, all because the app is sporadic with auto-choosing a location. And it doesn’t matter if you favorite a location or not. Most of the time the app will default to the closest location. But for some reason, today it chose the other location. This has happened 3 times at least. I’ve updated the app and it’s still a problem. Just know to always check on what location it chooses - even if you’ve been ordering the same way for weeks, it could suddenly choose another location in town.
Solution: put a setting that the user can set the app to either always choose the closest location or always choose the favorite location. Program it so that if you have multiple favorite locations, it will choose the closest one of those favorites.
Very Displeased with the service
Good afternoon! I rarely ever write bad reviews, even if my visit was not pleasing. However, I must speak on my very dissatisfied visit at this location. I walked into this location at 1:20-1:21. The location had 4 customers waiting on their smoothies to be prepared. I walked to the counter and two reps were making smoothies. I was never greeted from the beginning to the end of my visit. I waited at the counter and no one acknowledged me. Another employee walked from the back and still no one acknowledged me or took my order. Three minutes passed and still no one greeted me or took my order. I ordered my smoothie online while standing at the counter and left to go to another shopping store while I waited. My order stated it would be ready at 1:30. I walked back into the location at 1:28. There was one gentleman waiting that was there when I first visited location and another one ordering a smoothie. There were two young ladies on the floor. No one greeted me yet again. The lady that took the gentleman’s order started on his smoothie. I looked at the time and it was 1:29. A young lady walked from the back and took the ticket off the register which I assume was mines and she started making it. The gentleman that ordered after me received his order around 1:33. The lady that came from the back asked me if I had the online order I said yes and then she put it in the blender and walked back to the back. The 2nd young lady left the store and went to purchase something from another store (she was washing out blender parts earlier). It takes three seconds to greet someone and say welcome to Smoothie King. The young lady that left walked on the floor and never greeted or said anything to me (ex. hello, thank you for your patience; what happened to team work). The first young lady placed my smoothie into a cup and handed it to me. She never said thank you for your patience or even thanked me for my service. I received my smoothie at 1:35. As you can tell I am a customer service retail manager and I am big on customer service. However, I give passes because I know everyone will not have the same customer service experience or expectations as myself. I have been to this location many times at least once a week. I live in Destrehan. I will not be going back anytime soon. I will drive to Kenner for my smoothie needs. Companies need to bring back the 5 second rule. If I were a mystery shopper this location would have FAILED. This visit left me so aggravated, un-welcomed and unappreciated. Therefore, I will not be spending my money here until acknowledgment and customer service is a priority. I will tell others about my visit.

Worthless
Most importantly, I got the app to earn and redeem points for discounts and a free smoothie but every time I check for my points they’ve disappeared. Sometimes they don’t show up at all. The app crashes if you try to see your earning and use activity. App runs slow to the point I just go to the website to look at the menu. As of today, April 27, it says the app’s last update was 4 months ago. You need to get it together and fix these issues. You’ve got tons of angry customers listing these same issues here in the reviews. FIX IT. I should have earned 2 free smoothies by now. I’ve decided to make my smoothies at home now.

Too clunky, cheap with rewards
This app isn’t very good but I’m a sucker for any rewards system so I keep it on my phone.
1- you cant earn points while also using points. If I use the $1 off which I earned, I don’t receive points on the other $4-7 I spent on that smoothie.
2- my points only register half the time. Every other time I go to the store and have the cashier scan my qr code, the purchase never shows up on my activity and I never earn the points.
3- most recently I received an email saying they had accidentally given some people, including myself, double points so they would be deducting them out of our accounts. Great, thanks. I’m sure those points don’t even make up for all the purchases that failed to register correctly at time of purchase.

Terrible app
This is a terrible app! I went to SK today, had 2500 points, and redeemed 2000 of them for $2 off. I had them redeemed, the barcode screen up ready to be scanned, the girl fixed all three smoothies that I ordered and brought them all three together BEFORE she took my payment. So by that time, my screen on my phone had timed out and went black. So when I activated my screen, the reward was gone. Couldn’t find it and the girl tells me it thinks that I’ve used it. That’s TERRIBLE. No one else has a system like that with their apps! And not only that but when I go into the app to view my redeemed rewards, the whole app closes out every time and I’m not able to view them. I can view my earned rewards! But not the redeemed. Terrible app.

I’m not sure how ordering ahead of time could be made any worse of an experience.
I have ordered before. I’m logged in, it can see my past order.
I try to order a new smoothie. Am prompted I need to log in again (to something labeled “the level up” - reluctantly I put in my email and pass. No matter what, that “Login” button never works.
Wrong user/pass? No feedback saying so… I mean, I know that it’s correct, but the app sure doesn’t indicate one way or another.
Try to order a different way in the app (can’t even remember how I navigated there!) but somehow it was about to re-order my last (the very first order I’d ever made). It even remembered the credit card I’d used!
But I didn’t want the same flavor so bailed out of that process.
Is my first order in this app to be my last? I have no clue!

Employee by the name of laike was standing around talking instead of making my online order. Was not started until she seen me come in offered no apology nothing.also my enhanced was not added so she stole
Money from me along with it not even being blended well. She did nothing to resolve the issue not even a I’m sorry.
In the 10/16/23 and this past Friday smoothie kings app charge me for my two drinks 25.00 and my receipt say 16.43... it has stored each time I go through the drive thru 9.00 Something pls refund my 18.00 something and I've deleted my card off your app.
