Questioning future purchases.
Beware if ordering online. Purchased 4 boxes of 9mm Ammo and this is what they shipped it in. A padded FedEx envelope. One would think for security reasons they would actually ship it in a box. After all I paid $14.99 for it to be shipped. The boxes they get would be free. On top of that, my package was held hostage at my local FedEx hub for a week before it was delivered. When I brought all of this to the attention of "orders" at SMGA, the response I received was "sorry to hear about that." Wow, blown away by the "great" customer service and response. Definitely will reconsider future purchases here. Given their attitude, I doubt they'd care.
Recommendation: Think twice.
Went there twice
Went there twice. Customer service was real bad. Ain't gonna shop there no more.
I bought 2 guns from SMGA
I bought 2 guns from SMGA. Their service is great and prices are fair. I would shop there again and recommend them to others.
I was lookin' for the Ruger AR556 Model 8515 and stumbled upon SMGA
I was lookin' for the Ruger AR556 Model 8515 and stumbled upon SMGA. Heard some folks on ComplaintsBoard.com havin' issues with shippin' and talkin' to 'em. Gave 'em a call to make sure they had the item in stock. Placed my order at 10:50 on Monday mornin'. Come Wednesday at 1:00 PM, my local FFL called and told me the item was ready for pickup. Gotta say, it was a pretty good experience overall!
Just bought my second pistol from these guys
Just bought my second pistol from these guys. Super people with amazin customer service! The staff at SMG&A are very knowledgable and helpful. They shipped both of my orders to my FFL quickly with no problems. I was not sure if they were legit or not when I first ordered from them but now that I know what they are all about, they are the first place that I look when gun shopping online. Great folks. You can trust them.
I was lookin' online for a specific pistol
I was lookin' online for a specific pistol. Nobody had it 'cept some sketchy websites and SMG&A. I saw some good reviews 'bout 'em, so I took a chance and bought the gun from 'em. They sent it out real quick usin' 2 day FedEx to my local FFL. These guys are the real deal. I'd definitely do business with 'em again. Had a really good experience.
I just bought two guns from SMGA
I just bought two guns from SMGA. I never bought from them before, so I was kinda nervous and had to trust them a lot. But I gotta say, I was really happy with: 1) the great customer service I got; 2) how they got back to me quick on email and voicemail; 3) how they shipped my guns in like 3-4 days after I ordered them; and 4) how they gave me all the accessories I was supposed to get for each gun. I'd totally buy from them again.
Don't waste ur time ordering from here
Don't waste ur time ordering from here. They used to be a great company with good rep and customer service. Not sure what happened with them. I ordered 5 guns from them last year and had no problem. With my latest order, I've been waiting, waiting, and waiting for the gun to ship. No response from customer service by phone or email! Phone calls to them go straight to voicemail with no response. My order says it's ready to ship and has had this status for several days. I've read where others had this same status for weeks and had to pick up the order in person. It's a shame to see this from a company that's had my loyalty for years.
It's a mixd bag
It's a mixd bag. Customer service phones ring, dont get picked up (rang for 35 minutes straight) but Voicemail is full. I'd highly recommend the Sevierville store as the crew there is service-minded and helpful. I wouldnt recommend the Knoxville store as some are lazy and unhelpful and others have been great. Online is screwed up. Yes, the sales goes through but the guns dont ship. I waited three weeks and had to go to the Knoxville store to demand to pick them up! Beautiful stores with a great selection! Go to the Sevierville store- Its worth suffering through the crowds. And, yes, in both stores, be prepared for a wait; theyre both busy and under staffed (the new post-covid norm).

I didn't get my item or it wasn't shipped!
I didn't get my item or it wasn't shipped! They don't answer my calls or emails! I bought a crossbow on 11/4/22 for $774.54, order # XXXXX. They lied to me twice about when it would be shipped. It's just really frustrating.
I bought a gun on 6/9, but then I changed my mind and called to cancel it on 6/13
I bought a gun on 6/9, but then I changed my mind and called to cancel it on 6/13. The company said they canceled my order on 6/14. However, they still charged me $399.99 on 6/16. I called to complain and asked for my money back right away. They said they "processed" the cancellation, but their "merchant" has their own policy and it takes up to 10 business days for a refund. Today is 6/24, which is 10 full business days since I canceled the order, and I still haven't received my refund.
I ordered a product from Smoky Mountain Guns & Ammo LLC in March
I ordered a product from Smoky Mountain Guns & Ammo LLC in March. It was supposed to be in stock, but I still haven't received it. I asked for a refund, but they didn't give me my $799.99 back. They canceled my order in mid-May, but I still haven't received my money as of June 24. I made the purchase on March 31, and the item was supposed to be in stock. They never shipped it, so I called them in May to ask for a refund. They suddenly canceled my order in mid-May, but I still haven't received my $799.99. I've been trying to call them for weeks, but nobody answers. Finally, when I called from a different number, someone picked up. They told me to call my bank, but my bank said it's their fault and that the issue is in dispute. They said it could take another 90 days to resolve.

Ordered 2 things on May 22 (Order XXXXX) and paid in full ($1,199.98) for the things that the company never had. Placed an order on May 22 for 2 things (item number GLUXXXXXXXX) worth $1,199.98 and paid in full when I placed the order. I tried to contact the company many times because the order just said it was being processed. Finally, on June 11, I got an email saying that the company was selling guns that they didn't have or could get. So far, I haven't received the things, but they said they would give me a refund.

Transaction Date: 11/7/22
Amount Paid: $122.74 (including $15 for "2 day shipping")
I bought a firearm optic from Smoky Mountain Guns & Ammo LLC. They promised to sell and ship it to me. However, I encountered a problem. They gave me an order number that seems to be incorrect. I've been waiting for several days to receive a shipping confirmation by email, as they said they would send it. But I haven't received anything yet.
I've tried calling their store multiple times during their business hours, but they haven't answered the phone or returned my voicemail. Today, I also sent an email to their orders department, but I haven't received a response.
I'm not sure if they are just really bad at running their business or if they intended to scam customers. It's worth mentioning that I also tried calling the phone number listed on the ComplaintsBoard.com (ComplaintsBoard.com) website, but they didn't answer that one either.
I bought somethin' from Smoky Mountain Guns & Ammo LLC, and let me tell ya, they messed up big time
I bought somethin' from Smoky Mountain Guns & Ammo LLC, and let me tell ya, they messed up big time. I ordered an item with an 18 inch piece attached, all nice and snug in a hard case. But what did they do? They sent me an item with a measly 16 inch piece, all crammed in a flimsy cardboard box. Can ya believe it?
I gotta say, it feels like they're takin' advantage of the panic buyin' goin' on right now. They know folks are desperate for these items and their accessories, so they think they can just pull a fast one on us. And to make matters worse, I've been tryin' to reach out to their customer service department, but it's like I'm talkin' to a brick wall. They ain't respondin' to any of my attempts. Ain't that just great?
Well, I ain't gonna take this lyin' down. I'm gonna get in touch with my state's Attorney General, the Attorney General of Tennessee, and the FTC. They gotta know about this online commerce and fraud stuff. I'm also gonna dispute the charges with my credit card company. And you know what? I'm gonna spill the beans to my buddy who's got a massive YouTube followin'. He's got over 400,000 subscribers, and I bet they'll be interested in hearin' about my experience if this mess ain't fixed pronto.
But here's the thing, Smoky Mountain Guns & Ammo LLC, it ain't that hard to fix this. Just swap out the top half of the item with the 16 inch piece for the correct one that I actually paid for. It's as simple as that. So quit ignorin' me and do right by your customers.
On April 4, 2022, I ordered a NEW S&W M&P SHIELD EZ .380 PC
On April 4, 2022, I ordered a NEW S&W M&P SHIELD EZ .380 PC. On April 5, 2022, I got invoice #127763-0 that had the Serial # of the item to be shipped. I picked up this gun from my FFL dealer in Naples FL on April 13. 'Cause of some health issues, I couldn't fully check this gun at that time. It wasn't until April 19th that I felt up to fully checking this "new" gun. Here's what I found; this gun was as dirty as if it was a recycled range gun that never got cleaned. Both of the mags were just as dirty as the rest of the gun. The front and rear sights had a lot of wear on the tops, same with the slide, barrel, slide stop, and rails. The barrel inside was heavily coated with the leftovers of spent gunpowder residue and FMJ bullet pieces. As a big fan of S&W guns, there's no way S&W would ever ship such a terrible gun from its factory to a dealer. SMGA's response, dated April 20, was a vague attempt to put the blame on the manufacturer; S&W. I emailed SMGA and asked them to take this gun back and send a brand new .380 gun as a replacement. But now, I wouldn't want a replacement 'cause I might just get another defective gun. Unfair and sneaky business practices? How else would a distributor not carefully check a gun before sending it to a customer?
Order for which credit card was charged and scheduled to ship has been changed to pending
Order for which credit card was charged and scheduled to ship has been changed to pending. I've tried reaching out to the vendor multiple times, but they haven't responded. I placed Order # 77269 online for the SW12936 (Smith & Wesson M+P15 Sport II OR w/red/green optic 556) on 6/8. They charged my credit card $679.99 on 6/10. A Fed Ex label was issued on 6/17 (#[protected]) with an expected delivery date of 6/19. However, on 6/20, the Fed Ex tracking system changed the delivery date to pending. When I followed up, they told me to check with SMGA. Here's what I've done to connect with SMGA: 1) On 6/11, I emailed and called to make sure they had the FFL license and everything they needed to ship. I didn't get a direct response, but they sent me a standard response letter asking the FFL licensee to email a copy of their license with the order number. I did that, and a shipping label was issued on 6/17. 2) On 6/20, when the status of the Fed Ex tracking system changed, I emailed and called to ask what was going on and what I should expect. I left a phone message, but they didn't respond. They also didn't respond to my email. 3) On 6/22, I called in the morning and left a voice mail. I gave them until 1:00 PM to get back to me. When they didn't, I called again around 1:00 PM, but their voice mail was full. I sent an email requesting a response by the end of the day or else I would contact ComplaintsBoard.com. That's where we're at now. My desired result is to have a clear understanding of what's happening with my order and to receive the product in a timely manner. I'm worried because even though the product wasn't listed as "out of stock" when I purchased it, it currently is on their website.
The sales reps at the gun counter are very slow, and in my experience, not very well informed on their products. I picked up an online order and the sales guy disappeared for an hour while I waited. He can't back and said he "had to take a $#@!, you wouldn't want me to $#@! my pants now wouldcha?". I won't be back.
