HVAC Service
On July 26th, Smart 72 in San Luis Obispo came out for routine service on our HVAC unit purchased from them 4 years ago. Quoted $89 when making appointment. Only issue was AC air was not cold enough. Technician did inspection & replaced the capacitor in one hour. Invoice was $479! I was preoccupied at the time and wasn’t able to inspect invoice until later. The invoice was vague. No breakdown of parts or labor. Just a flat amount. I’ve called the office to talk to the technician manager for explanation four times & never received a response. It’s apparent I was overcharged as they are avoiding my calls. This is poor customer service to not return calls & not breakdown invoices. In checking with other service companies, $200-$250 is the going rate for capacitor diagnoses & replacement. I would like a minimum refund of $200 to correct the overcharge.
Desired outcome: Refund $200 & a call apologizing for lack of transparency.
