Overall service
Service is very unreliable. It has nothing to do with bandwidth, we have other streaming services with no problems. It is ONLY Sling that constantly buffers, freezes and like watching live TV through an aquarium. We even have free streaming services that outdo Sling on every level. Just horrible.

Service-Sling TV
When watching a program, all of a sudden, the screen will go dark or the "commercial break" notice will come come. Constantly have to hit "back", then "resume" in order to continue watching. When I went from satellite TV to streaming, I increased my internet speed. This is very exasperating and I don't feel I'm getting the service I'm paying for.
Desired outcome: I want the service I was led to believe Sling TV promised.
Charging for service switching
I have been a member of Sling for years. No issues. I recently switched from Sling Orange membership to Sling Orange and Sling Blue. Shortly after this I decided to just go back to Sling Blue. I made the change in my account, and verified the change was made.
The following month, after making the change to my account, I was charged for both of the packages, even though I had changed my plan. I logged back in only to see that my package still showed both Sling Blue and Orange, even though I had already previously changed this.
I changed it again back to just Sling Blue. Logged back into the site the following day, and see the change had not taken effect, and still showing both packages.
I called up and complained and asked for:
1. Change my account to Sling Blue.
2. Investigate the issue with the website.
3. A refund for the portion of the second month which should not have been charged.
They honored my request #1. They denied requests #2 and #3. I asked for escalation, and spoke to a manager Julian (Code: RFI). Julian explained that they would not refund unless I have an email confirming the account change. When the representative changed my account in request #1, no email was issued, so clearly the system does not send emails when changes are made. Manager Julian was most unhelpful and denied any investigation or remediation to the reported issues. I asked for a channel to make a complaint, and was told that there is no Complaint process at sling.
I feel that I have been stolen from, and that this is probably happening to others. Sling needs to take accountability for this and investigate this issue.
Desired outcome: Solve the issues with changing plan online, and refund whats fairly owed to me.

These people are the most corrupt and dishonest people you will deal with. Their service is like something a 3rd World Country would offer, and less reliable. As a result, the refuse to give credit or prorated refunds. They do not honor any of these for their failure to live up to their contract obligations. The interface for Fire TV is one of the worst out there and never been updated, thus it limps along, locks up frequently and even requires removing and adding the App to get it working again. There are $24 streaming services that work about as well as Sling, but even they provide refunds and credit for problems or early cancelation. Don't let corrupt, evil people like these idiots dictate unfavorable terms and hold you hostage. Kick these ppl to the curb where they belong! Tell them you're mad as he'll and not going to take it any more! Make them come to you! Consumers are King!

Sling TV exploits viewers by excessive commercials
I am using Sling TV service even before they were moved from Dish Network. Over years their management has become greedy and wants to exploit every opportunity to rake in money without considering their customer requirements. Customer Service acts dumb, like they are hearing this first time. Please save your frustrations and move away from Sling TV as soon as you can

Error code 2-5
Keep getting this error code 2-5, I restarted router, internet is working on other devices, cleared cache and all data. Still keep getting error codes, if I cant use the service im gonna have to cancel. Its a pain in the *ss trying to get a hold of customer support. Kinda starting to feel like sling tv is all a scam and that I should switch to youtube Tv like everyone else.

Hi, i cancelled my trial in June of 2019, i was charged monthly until 01/2021. I was unaware considering that i had canceled. I called the Location in Miami and the representatives were very rude. i got online and came across this option. I see some have been resolved. i was billed a total of 741.00 . Given the current state of the nation ( Full time now part time), and the fact i cancelled and feel i was charged i unfairly ( I never used the service other than the trial), this is a great hardship and a huge amount of money i would appreciate any help you can give me. I signed up because of a promotion in 04/2019. I cancelled in June of 2019, but continued to be charged until 01/2021. I called immediately and was routed to the Miami customer service. The rep was rude, dismissive and no help. I was charged a total of 741.00. I am also filing with both the FCC and the BBB. This practice is predatory and deceptive. Sling Commercials are so tacky! They definently grabs the viewers attention, but in a horrible way!. This was a terrible marketing idea. Many people have morals and do not think swinging is funny or cute. I will never use Sling because of this. I know many others who feel the same. Nothing but negative comments whenever the commercials come on! Inappropriate and creepy.

Blue package.
On Jan 12 I signed up for the Sling Blue Package for $28.21 in order to watch hockey games. On Jan 25 I went to watch my first game. A pop up appeared saying that I had to pay another $7.06 for the NHL package. They ask you what your zip code is before you pay. As soon as you pay they tell you that the game is blacked out in your area. They should have known that when I gave them my zip code. They refused to refund my money. Basically I got ripped off for $25.27. These guys are a bunch of crooks. If you are smart you will look elsewhere.

3-day trial
I signed up for the 3-day trial, cancelled it at beginning of 3rd day but charged when the cancellation didn't go through. I noticed the error on day 5, contacted Sling but denied a refund. Very stingy. Rep said the "good news" was that I could "maximize the service" for the month I'm on the hook. Do you really need to rub in a customer's displeasure?!? It doesn't offer live local and national news as described in promotional materials. Poor, poor business model!

I have moved three times in 18 months. I cancelled my sling on the automated service. I have been getting charges from 05/16/2019. I have never used sling at all. I would like my card refunded... Refuses to issue a refund
I was under the impression I was being charged $47.70 for a 2 month period only to discover I was being charged $47.70 for a 1-month period. Upon receiving my credit card statement recently, I noticed the error and called to have my subscription cancelled and my account credited. Since the charge was made only 4 days ago, I couldn't see why they wouldn't refund it to me.
They refused and are forcing me to pay for another entire month of service.
Desired outcome: A full credit of $47.70 or even prorated for 4 days
New format
Sling tv just altered channel changing format and we really don't like it. Now we can't hit recall channel button. We have to scroll through the guide again to find previous channel and when we change channels you can't just flip to next channel without waiting 5 seconds for rewind bar to fade away. Very annoying!
Desired outcome: Let us click on channel and move to next one and let us hit recall button without having to scroll the guide again.

Channel surfing is useless
I hate commercials, and I like to channel surf in order to avoid them. Lately, i've noticed that (for example) when I switch from newsy channel to id channel (to avoid the commercials on newsy), I am forced to revisit the same commercial, when I return newsy 3, 4 or even 5 minutes later. Clearly this is a practice designed to discourage channel surfing.
Can't change channels during commercials on live tv
What is this new policy where you cant change channels during commercials on live tv. The option to go back to last channel is not available during commercials. If I want to go to another channel during commercials I have to go to channel listings and scroll to the last channel I was watching. I don't understand why this is even happening for live tv. I always thought it was annoying on on demand, but at least it was expected. Doing this on live tv is unacceptable and makes watching tv unbearable and annoying. I hope sling ends this practise on live tv as this will make people cancel their plans.
Sling tv does not operate properly on samsung smart tv
No matter what you have read in industry publications about SLING TV working with Samsung Smart TVs, note that it does not work. It has to be reactivated on my Samsung TV multiple times and then does not work as advertised at all. Do not get SLING TV if you have a Samsung Smart TV!
Lack of response to sling cloud dvr issues
Recently had two cases over the past 3 weeks open on lack of remote control response for cloud dvr for recordings that are in the process of being recorded (as opposed to pre-recorded with sling dvr) on a samsung smart tv. The support desk, up to the supervisor level, could not give any updates on progress after 3 weeks of waiting. They have no idea what is in progress or priority in fixing the problem. The problem is dropped into a black hole at the support desk. Who really knows if anything is being done to resolve the problem. Total lack of communication with customers after a case is submitted. You are on your own. I recommend that no one with a samsung smart tv sign up for sling tv due to control issues with samsung remote commands. The support desk is made up of note-takers. They really don't know how to solve any problems as far as I can see.
