I have been with the Pharmacy at Shoppers Fairlawn for years and have always been well taken care of by their team no matter what issues I've had they always did what they could to help. I went to pick up my refills that are automatically done every 30 days. They didn't have either ready and one of them needed a refill prescription from my Doctor. This is a Monday and they had my inhaler ready the next day Tuesday but antidepressant I take daily wouldn't be ready till Thursday. I said I cannot go 4 days. He cut me off talking and said well just give me a minute. I said ok I apologize I'm just - was cut off again by him. I stopped talking assuming he was doing something? looking at my file? He finally said well you are getting them late because you didn't make sure you had a refill.
I Said Sir I have never done that Shoppers has always faxed my Doctor. I've been taking the same pill for years and have never asked my Doctor myself for a refill unless the mg changes. I said if you look at my file they have always called - I have never been told to call or I would. He said well I'll get them ready now and you can pick up in 45 mins WHAT! you have the refill? why was I not told? I'm telling you now aren't I? His name was John - I hung up!
Desired outcome: I believe John has a job he doesn't much like. Either he needs more training or a good talk from his boss, I pay a higher price to come get prescriptions at Shopper's because their Pharmacists.
