Today, I visited Shoe City Hillfox, and the service I experienced was unacceptable. As a client, I do not condone such poor treatment. I selected three pairs of boots: one adult size and two kids' size 13, each priced at R49.00.
At the checkout, I was assisted by two employees. While scanning my items, one was missing a code because it was the last pair available. One employee made a call to obtain the code, and I found myself waiting for an extended period while carrying a small baby, who eventually fell asleep due to the lengthy wait. Out of frustration, I took the baby to the car and returned to the store, only to discover they were still on the phone, approximately 25 minutes later.
Ultimately, they obtained the code, but upon scanning, I was shocked to see the price had increased from R49.00 to R99.00. This is incredibly inconvenient. The employee then had the audacity to ask if I still wished to purchase the item. It is unacceptable to display lower prices on your shelves while expecting customers to pay more at the checkout. After such a lengthy wait, to have the price increase is infuriating. The service provided was horrendous, and as a client, I am thoroughly dissatisfied.
