I previously paid for phone accounts, message accounts and text accounts for my incarcerated loved one. When I set up my text account, Securus had him set up in a different facility. I called and spoke with William in October of 2025. I was informed that I could still add monies to the account and I would be able to text. I still cannot text. I spoke with Paige today from Securus and was informed that I had been mis-informed and they cannot set up my loved one under the County facility that he is in. She also informed me that my money was lost because I was previously mis-informed. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told they did not have one available. As of now, I have monies in several Securus accounts for several counties because the facilities had moved my love one. I cannot control when my loved one is moved. I have no idea what the facility is doing. I have paid Securus fees to add monies that I cannot even use. And, a representative of Securus mis-informed me about the text connect. As of now, I have no idea who can set up the text connect. Securus said they cannot and the facility said they cannot. So who can?!? I am filing a complaint with the Consumer Protection Agency in Maine, as well. This is illegally taking advantage of someone who is a Senior, taking my limited money and not giving me the services I paid for.
