Customer service rep called to arrange an appointment for them to come to our home. They then advised they could not as my husband would not be present. I then receive a call a few days later from anther rep trying to arrange an appointment. I explain my husband works away and long hours so would not be able to attend the appointment and that I understood Safestyle would not make an appointment based on this. I asked to be removed from their call list as a result. The rep then went on to try and get me to make an appointment but when I suggested the only reason they wanted my husband in attendance was because they used a hard sell tactic where they wanted to close the deal whilst at our home there and there, the rep hung up on me! So rude! But proves that Safestyle use this horrendous sale technique, why else would he have ended our call so abruptly?
Phone calls and cold callers
After having my WHOLE house (doors, windows, porch) fitted by Safestyle, they wont leave me alone, constant calls and visits to see if I need anything else doing, there is NOTHING else to do...contacted them at the call center, to be told that, yes I can have my telephone number removed from the calling list, but nothing they can do regarding the cold callers, I asked "Surely, your team knows where they have fitted windows (18 months previously) but was told that due to data protection they can't and don't have the address of where windows have been fitted, supplied to their staff drumming up business in the field...I was told "put a note in your window" what a joke
Harrasment
Got a quote from a few different companies, safestyle included, Safestyle were just the cheapest (not by a lot). Agreed to get the work done and signed the contract after they rang me constantly for over a week. Had the surveyor around and found that the bay window had dropped and got a call from safestyle they deemed it unsafe to do the work. Other companies did not have a problem with this I might add, as its a common thing with old windows that do not have supports. Anyway they canceled my contract, which they were entitled to do under one of the clauses. I had no problem with this until a week later I started getting calls from them daily asking if i still wanted my windows done. After telling them several times no, not interested I started getting very annoyed. Got very annoyed explaining to them they canceled my contract which no one seemed to know about even though i have it in writing. In a nutshell I am still today recieving calls from safestyle as they are completely clueless and seem to be adopting a bully tactic. No one seems to know what the other is doing. Quite possibly the worst service I have ever received. I highly recommend not using them at all, utter tosh.
Awful customer service and experience all round
I would not recommend safe style to anyone. The engineer was sent by him self we had to be his assistant for the day. When we had problems with the door not being fitted properly from the start the customer service team are as useful as a chocolate tea pot. Wasted three days waiting for engineers to show up. Only for them to show up at half three and can you believe it there is insufficient time to do anything. Ring up the office wait three more weeks for an appointment and we will send a guy who will say he has 'adjusted' the door, or just opened and shut it three times. See how it goes and ring up if it's not right and off to the pub he goes. Complain to the assistant service manager James and he will do absolutely nothing other than contradict himself and be completely unhelpful in everyway. how he is the assistant manager I do not know. His level of professionalism and customer service skills leave a lot to be desired.
All in all awful service from start to finish(which still isn't here yet as we wait for competent team to finally finish the job that was started six months ago)
You buy one and it gets fitted wrong. I said you buy one and it gets fitted wrong.
Safe style UK the CLOWNS of windows and doors
Agree, ALL My new windows are wrong size, too small, so big gap around window, builder filled with lots of expansion form and cermet. their staff are very rude.
Safety issue
we had safestyle to fit our windows and doors cost us £7000 pound
when rep showed us what they had we were happy we did ask for the windows to have child protection openings and were told it was standard except for one bedroom window which must be able to be used as fire escape
only noticed when grand children stayed over that the windows open all the way and when we have strong winds again windows blow open wide if left open abit
saftstyle do knot want to know we paid cash and thats what we done wrong

After coming to our home to give us a quotation, they walked out without providing one as our son was too noisy for them. They then rang us and asked if there would be a time when our son would not be home so they could come back and do a quotation. Our son is two years old...

I have had 8 years of hell with a badly fitted front door fitted by safe style after many call outs they have advised the door was not the right size and would never have fitted correctly and agreed to replace the door (another month wait) but hay ho whats a month after 8 years. My complaint now is I have e-mailed there customer care team advising that as I paid for a survey and have had to take time off work to wait for the engineers, suffered a freezing cold hall way due to the door being badly fitted I would be seeking compensation but ... gather round hands up if you think they have responded ... put your hands down have they heck hacked off Harrogate
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Bad windows / doors
I am disgusted with Safestyle UK. After quotes and survey by them, they advised that we should have "trickle vents" put in all the windows. After installation, all the windows are now noisier and colder than before. I then complained to them and they finally changed some of the vents but the net result is the same. They are cold and noisy and whistle badly on windy days. 14 months later they are now saying that they are not prepared to do any more and are walking away from the problem. The problem was compounded by their totally inadequate complaints procedure. They don't call back, you chase and they don't seem to know what the situation is and take another few days just to find out. We finally got a surveyor (we've had lots) who agreed that the vents should not have been installed and agreed to replace all windows affected. Dates were all set and then they decided not to go ahead (due to cost) with the replacement but to try different vents. The net result was the same.
I would therefore, NEVER use them again and would strongly deter any other potential customers from doing so. They are unreliable and totally unprofessional!
Every window installed had been botched had there surveyor round he was in disbelief but he knows seriou problems but he want cheapest way of doing them
We had new windows and doors installed by this company over ten years ago which realise the grantee has run out but we are trying to sell the property and the surveyor is saying they haven't put enough support round the doors and windows and this is going to cost us to put right surly safestyle should be responsible
Awful customer service
I had a number quotes and numerous phone calls from members of the safesyle windows team, they all claimed that they could better each others prices due to them being from certain regions of the uk and being a head office. After a week of non stop phone calls from this company i agreed that they should send somebody out to give us a quote, bearing in mind we had already had one over the phone. When this guy turned up, he claimed that he could not match the quote i had been given over the phone, but that was not before he tried the old "let me ring my manager to see if we can get a better price" phone call, so who's manager is still at work at 8.30pm, anyway he did, and then told me me that we should take the offer given over the phone. Literally five minutes after this guy left i recieved another phone call from there head office giving me another price, which for me was to good to turn down so i agreed on that price and they said they would send some body out to do the measurements, so with in the next few days i had a phone call from a regional manager claiming he would be at my house to take measurements, this same guy rang me 3 times to state that fact. When i did answer the door it was a young lad who worked for the company and not the so called regional manager who had turned up. He took the measurements, i signed a contract agreeing on a price and i paid a small deposit on the day. I was then told that a surveyor would come out to take final measurments. This happened a few days later, the guy turned up and did as expected, although he did make small slight damaage to a window, but that did not bother me as i was expecting a new one to replace it. Before he left he told me to leave it a few days and then ring to confirm an installation date. So after the weekend i rang safestyle to find out when the installation date would be, to my amazement they claimed i had been undercharged by 700 pounds and that i should pay that amount if i wanted the work to be carried out. I explained i had a signed agreement and guy on the phone basically said that counted for nothing. He later went onto tell me that the person who had given me the quote over the phone had been sacked and no longer worked for the company. Which i know is a lie, because on doing further research on the internet on this company i have found that this is a regular scam that they pull. I was so disgusted with the situation i rang up wanting to speak to senior member of the management team, i rang no less that 10 times within a period of 3 days, each time i was told that somebody would ring me back. This comnpany is a disgrace, i am supprised after all the press that they have they still continue to treat potential customer in an appaling manner.

Hello, they have recently tried pulling this scam on me. I refused to pay a penny more, after signing the contract and on the phone they said they could not go ahead with the windows and would return my small deposit. However, I am still waiting for the refund. Did you have any problems getting your refund?
