Composite door and panel
On 12/09/15 my new door ect, was fitted but was missing a glass window in panel 1week Later a fitter came out with wrong glass and parts, made several phone calls and emails to safestyle uk complaints department with more information about more faults, requested a home visit but no joy .the list of faults are the door is bowed, uneven cut to the bottom of the door plus it's peeling, the side of the door were the hinges hold the weight to the door should be screwed to solid wall for support and strengthen it, its 9mm away or short packed and filled with foam, local window company's that looked and stated its beyond help and have quoted not to mention there company names that's visited my home due to the Bradford based owners of safestyle uk are nasty people, I've now turned to Anglian to get new door ect,
Poor customer service/sales
Customer service rep called to arrange an appointment for them to come to our home. They then advised they could not as my husband would not be present. I then receive a call a few days later from anther rep trying to arrange an appointment. I explain my husband works away and long hours so would not be able to attend the appointment and that I understood Safestyle would not make an appointment based on this. I asked to be removed from their call list as a result. The rep then went on to try and get me to make an appointment but when I suggested the only reason they wanted my husband in attendance was because they used a hard sell tactic where they wanted to close the deal whilst at our home there and there, the rep hung up on me! So rude! But proves that Safestyle use this horrendous sale technique, why else would he have ended our call so abruptly?
Phone calls and cold callers
After having my WHOLE house (doors, windows, porch) fitted by Safestyle, they wont leave me alone, constant calls and visits to see if I need anything else doing, there is NOTHING else to do...contacted them at the call center, to be told that, yes I can have my telephone number removed from the calling list, but nothing they can do regarding the cold callers, I asked "Surely, your team knows where they have fitted windows (18 months previously) but was told that due to data protection they can't and don't have the address of where windows have been fitted, supplied to their staff drumming up business in the field...I was told "put a note in your window" what a joke
Harrasment
Got a quote from a few different companies, safestyle included, Safestyle were just the cheapest (not by a lot). Agreed to get the work done and signed the contract after they rang me constantly for over a week. Had the surveyor around and found that the bay window had dropped and got a call from safestyle they deemed it unsafe to do the work. Other companies did not have a problem with this I might add, as its a common thing with old windows that do not have supports. Anyway they canceled my contract, which they were entitled to do under one of the clauses. I had no problem with this until a week later I started getting calls from them daily asking if i still wanted my windows done. After telling them several times no, not interested I started getting very annoyed. Got very annoyed explaining to them they canceled my contract which no one seemed to know about even though i have it in writing. In a nutshell I am still today recieving calls from safestyle as they are completely clueless and seem to be adopting a bully tactic. No one seems to know what the other is doing. Quite possibly the worst service I have ever received. I highly recommend not using them at all, utter tosh.
Awful customer service and experience all round
I would not recommend safe style to anyone. The engineer was sent by him self we had to be his assistant for the day. When we had problems with the door not being fitted properly from the start the customer service team are as useful as a chocolate tea pot. Wasted three days waiting for engineers to show up. Only for them to show up at half three and can you believe it there is insufficient time to do anything. Ring up the office wait three more weeks for an appointment and we will send a guy who will say he has 'adjusted' the door, or just opened and shut it three times. See how it goes and ring up if it's not right and off to the pub he goes. Complain to the assistant service manager James and he will do absolutely nothing other than contradict himself and be completely unhelpful in everyway. how he is the assistant manager I do not know. His level of professionalism and customer service skills leave a lot to be desired.
All in all awful service from start to finish(which still isn't here yet as we wait for competent team to finally finish the job that was started six months ago)

Agree, ALL My new windows are wrong size, too small, so big gap around window, builder filled with lots of expansion form and cermet. their staff are very rude.
Safety issue
we had safestyle to fit our windows and doors cost us £7000 pound
when rep showed us what they had we were happy we did ask for the windows to have child protection openings and were told it was standard except for one bedroom window which must be able to be used as fire escape
only noticed when grand children stayed over that the windows open all the way and when we have strong winds again windows blow open wide if left open abit
saftstyle do knot want to know we paid cash and thats what we done wrong
Harassment
Safestyle offered myself and my husband a no obligation quotation for our windows. After coming to our home to give us a quotation, they walked out without providing one as our son was too noisy for them. They then rang us and asked if there would be a time when our son would not be home so they could come back and do a quotation. Our son is two years old so I told them no and to take our number off their phone list. Since then they have bombarded us with calls and have been told over and over to remove our number from their list and never call again, unfortunately the calls just keep coming. We are now sick of their calls and as no number appears when they call are unsure whether to answer our phone or not. I have told them to stop harassing us but they just keep calling.
I advise the poster of the initial complaint to buy a cold call blocking phone, with screening tech. They cost the same as regular landline phones now. You can block area codes or individual numbers, if you screen calls, your phone will not even ring when unscrupulous companies like SafeStyle bother you all day. You can even use these landline phones like a smartphone and only have people on your contacts list be able to ring through.
I never actually used Safestyle, only opting for small local contractors - whose work I had seen for Myself and were council approved with recommendations. So this post relates to Safestyle commission paid door-to-door reps in my location. One little chap kept harassing us for months, despite a very clear no cold calling sign. The manager of their branch obtained our number too and started to phone us persistently (basically the last straw for me). When I explained I had read hundreds of negative customer reviews online and was not interested in Safestyles service at any reduced cost, he became belligerent. I ended the call hanging up on him because he would just not take "no" for an answer. In the following weeks, even more reps appeared at our door. They were actually more frequent than local Jehovah witnesses! I lost my temper and asked one particular little 'junkie looking' individual "if he thought our NO cold calling sign was there just for fun" ? Next thing I know, this little rep with rotten teeth is standing at the bottom of our steps with his obese district manager, a fat bloke screaming obscenities up at my window, along with playground taunts such as "come down here and say that!?". It was all quite surreal, I'm in my 40's, last time I experienced anything like that was probably in secondary school. You expect to experience such behaviour outside nightclubs with drunken revellers, not on your own doorstep from salesmen. I contemplated phoning the police but opted not to waste police time and simply laugh at them from my window instead. It is not often sales reps make physical threats outside properties but as Safestyle are known for high pressure sales and aggressive reps, I thought I would share my own Safestyle experience here. This is an unprofessional min-wage employment company I would never use or recommend. This company are only worth laughing at. Laugh hard at their reps when they cold call on your property. They know no boundaries and are very arrogant, they only deserve total mockery for their sales reps ridiculous conduct.
It is now 2019, and they have not improved. I have never had quotes or anything else from them but they won't stop phoning me. I have now pointed out that it is illegal to make unsolicited contact, and that I will pursue this from a legal standpoint. Now I just have to find out how to do that!
I have had the same problem with safestyle, I had two quotes was messed about over 2 years, even though I had Windows
Fitted in the end by a local company at a lot cheaper price& have advised safestyle of this they still keep ringing.
They are totally incompetent a complete bunch of Cowboys, don't go near them!
No response
I have had 8 years of hell with a badly fitted front door fitted by safe style after many call outs they have advised the door was not the right size and would never have fitted correctly and agreed to replace the door (another month wait) but hay ho whats a month after 8 years. My complaint now is I have e-mailed there customer care team advising that as I paid for a survey and have had to take time off work to wait for the engineers, suffered a freezing cold hall way due to the door being badly fitted I would be seeking compensation but ... gather round hands up if you think they have responded ... put your hands down have they heck hacked off Harrogate

I am disgusted with Safestyle UK. After quotes and survey by them, they advised that we should have "trickle vents" put in all the windows. After installation, all the windows are now noisier and colder than before. I then complained to them and they finally changed some of the vents but the net result is the same. They are cold and noisy and whistle badly on windy days. 14 months later they are now saying that they are not prepared to do any more and are walking away from the problem. The problem was compounded by their totally inadequate complaints procedure. They don't call back, you chase and they don't seem to know what the situation is and take another few days just to find out. We finally got a surveyor (we've had lots) who agreed that the vents should not have been installed and agreed to replace all windows affected. Dates were all set and then they decided not to go ahead (due to cost) with the replacement but to try different vents. The net result was the same.
I would therefore, NEVER use them again and would strongly deter any other potential customers from doing so. They are unreliable and totally unprofessional!
Every window installed had been botched had there surveyor round he was in disbelief but he knows seriou problems but he want cheapest way of doing them
We had new windows and doors installed by this company over ten years ago which realise the grantee has run out but we are trying to sell the property and the surveyor is saying they haven't put enough support round the doors and windows and this is going to cost us to put right surly safestyle should be responsible
Awful customer service
I had a number quotes and numerous phone calls from members of the safesyle windows team, they all claimed that they could better each others prices due to them being from certain regions of the uk and being a head office. After a week of non stop phone calls from this company i agreed that they should send somebody out to give us a quote, bearing in mind we had already had one over the phone. When this guy turned up, he claimed that he could not match the quote i had been given over the phone, but that was not before he tried the old "let me ring my manager to see if we can get a better price" phone call, so who's manager is still at work at 8.30pm, anyway he did, and then told me me that we should take the offer given over the phone. Literally five minutes after this guy left i recieved another phone call from there head office giving me another price, which for me was to good to turn down so i agreed on that price and they said they would send some body out to do the measurements, so with in the next few days i had a phone call from a regional manager claiming he would be at my house to take measurements, this same guy rang me 3 times to state that fact. When i did answer the door it was a young lad who worked for the company and not the so called regional manager who had turned up. He took the measurements, i signed a contract agreeing on a price and i paid a small deposit on the day. I was then told that a surveyor would come out to take final measurments. This happened a few days later, the guy turned up and did as expected, although he did make small slight damaage to a window, but that did not bother me as i was expecting a new one to replace it. Before he left he told me to leave it a few days and then ring to confirm an installation date. So after the weekend i rang safestyle to find out when the installation date would be, to my amazement they claimed i had been undercharged by 700 pounds and that i should pay that amount if i wanted the work to be carried out. I explained i had a signed agreement and guy on the phone basically said that counted for nothing. He later went onto tell me that the person who had given me the quote over the phone had been sacked and no longer worked for the company. Which i know is a lie, because on doing further research on the internet on this company i have found that this is a regular scam that they pull. I was so disgusted with the situation i rang up wanting to speak to senior member of the management team, i rang no less that 10 times within a period of 3 days, each time i was told that somebody would ring me back. Hello, they have recently tried pulling this scam on me. I refused to pay a penny more, after signing the contract and on the phone they said they could not go ahead with the windows and would return my small deposit. However, I am still waiting for the refund. Did you have any problems getting your refund?

It has been 8 months since we had our windows and doors installed and Safestyle have visited many times. However they seem unable to fix the beading around 3 of our windows because they either get the colour or the beading type wrong. I have no faith they will ever be fixed. I have emailed customer support and received nothing useful. I called and there is nothing that can be done and nobody who can help. Stressed and frustrated but hope this helps somebody else.

the rep arrived to do me a quote. They had knocked on my do 2 days before and offered a free quote. When the rep arrived it was very clear after 2 minutes that he will want me to sign a contract before it leaves. I told him I just wanted a quote and that I would not take any decision on the day. after 1h30 of rubbish talk from him, he quoted me for 6 windows plus a french door £8895 I told him that it was over £1000 pound per windows. for small windows (60cm x90cm) the price suddenly dropped to 7000 then 5750... at that point and because I didn't want to sign anything The rep started to tell me that I was (rude) yes, me the customer. he then wanted to call to his manager but I told him that I wouldn't bite to the famous trick ( so many % off trick if I was signing today, that I just wanted to know his lowest price). He then calls me rude again.. packed up all his stuff and paperwork, I asked him why it wouldn't leave me the paper with all his quotes and out he stormed out ... SO IF YOU DON'T WANT TO WASTE YOUR TIME STAY FAR FAR AWAY OR SAFESTYLE WINDOWS
Please do not use this terrible company for anything, you will be nothing but disappointed. One window installed the wrong way round; another window does not shut, another is coming away from the walls; another did not fit and both replacements have been broken and installation dates cancelled twice; render is falling off; another window installed at an angle. No responses to any complaints and another cancelled installation date today. AVOID at all costs unless you want months of annoyance and poor service while spending pounds waiting to get through to customer services on the phone, being ignored, shoddy products and useless fitting - they WILL still take your money by the way
we had a bay window fitted on 15 of December and since then we have been trying to get them to come and finesh the job they have been paid. there is one window that does not shut properly ? I have sent 4 emails and got no reply all my wife has phone about 6/8 times all she gets is leave it with me and that's last we here from them .
These guys are a bucket shop. We have been swindled out of thousands of pounds only for our front door to have been ruined. even after 18 calls, three no shows, 5 sets of people to rectify the door we are no closer after 9 months to getting it repaired. so much so that in the last week itself they have left my front door so insecure that you can literally poke your fingers/hand through the side of the frame. They are useless, rude and wholly unprofessional. We have complained to the Trading Standards organisation who have done nothing also. Disappointed given the tonnes of comments posted here. Wld never use or recommend them again. The independent tradesmen that have come to see the debacle and sham have also been stunned at what they have done...or clearly NOT done.
we have had safestyle conservatory door witch shattered it is a very large glass door about 8 foot by 4 it is held in at the moment with yards of tape the fitter came today one man who just said its too big for me to repair on my own and its very dangerous to leave it like that but I cant do anything that large on my own its been 4 weeks in that state and were looking after 2 young grandchildren how much longer do we have to wait in this dangerous condition very bad company be warned follow up is disgusting
Salesman came to house, seemed extreemley nice, he then started asking funny questions stating he was a medium, and could tell me lots of differant things about my life, He then asked to take me out, to find that when i went home he had gone through my things, the company denies all knowledge dont touch them
Replaced our windows two years ago. Did all in the work in one day. However so badly done another crew took 3 days to fix their mess. Today after a piece of rendering had fallen off I found they had stuffed kitchen roll in the gap underneath.
Came round & fitted 14 windows and 3 doors in January 2018. By May, 3 of the windows were faulty (2 wouldn't open - handy now the weather finally got warm enough, one wouldn't close now it was open) & the French doors wouldn't close & lock unless you went outside and lift one of the doors as you closed.
After six attempts to get through on the customer after-sales service lines to arrange an engineer visit to no avail, a sales rep rang me to see if I wanted any extra work done as we were "valued customers". I pointed out that I'd been trying to get the work they had done fixed. So, as I finally has someone on the line, we got an engineer out on 12th June. He came out, said the two that wouldn't open were warped & hit them quite hard to get them open (certainly harder than I would have done) & said to leave it for a bit and then close them again to see if that solved the problem. He said the French door had dropped & adjusted it, but the one that wouldn't close needed a new hinge that he didn't have. So, he said he'd be back on the 28th June.
Over the interim 2 weeks, one of the windows has again jammed closed & the French door is again not locking (you can even see that the two doors aren't the same height as the door handles don't line up.
I got a text at 3pm on the 27th confirming the appointment & I've just got off the phone to them as I've received no idea on when the engineer was turning up. The woman on the line said that the appointment had been re-arranged for the 16th July as the engineer "wasn't working today" (on a day when England are playing in the World Cup - co-incidence?) but I said that I'd not agreed to the change of date & my wife had taken the day off work specially to be there for the engineer & if it had been postponed why had I received a text confirming the appointment. She said that it was a computer error.
Absolutely fuming, we have windows we can't use & a door that won't close and lock without requiring two people to be there - not great security - and now they have added another 2 1/2 weeks to the time we have to put up with their shoddy work.

I had composite door and side panel fitted 4 months ago. Not straight. finally got to speak to someone at head office andthey sent surveyor round again. He agreed door frame damageg, not straight and missing metal strip inbetween which reduces bounce when closing. That was in may. Still waiting. Spent over 100 pounds on phone calles and still the usual "someone will call you". Am consideringlegal action now. I would never use them again and would recomend anyone to go elsewhere.
Had new windows and new composite front door fitted.Windows fitted ok however fitters seem to think they can replace motar with silicone sealant everywhere.Composite door before fitted was left standing on the drive behind there van with the back door of the van open, it was quite a windy day, the wind blew the van door on to the composite door which fell onto the concrete driveway, unto my knowledge the door had been damaged but the fitters didnt mention anything to me at the time.Whilst installing the front bay window the fitter who doesnt usually fit the glazing decided to fit it and broke the first and only glazing unit he fitted during the installation.The head fitter then told me we would have to have service visit to replace the glazed unit and the damaged door handle to the composite door(which i had no knowledge of until then) on inspection of the door i also found damage to the inside panel, which the fitter said he had not noticed and it would need a resin repair.There fitter phoned his office and i was given a date when they would carry out the repairs.The service engineer came, replaced glazed unit and damaged handle however had no knowledge about the resin repair to the door and he did not carry the equipment on his van to do the job with and said it must be the other service engineer who had the equipment on his van.Before he left i signed the paperwork to say the work had been completed, i mentioned about the resin repair to the door and he said he would let his office know.I was now getting suspicious about safestyle so my wife phoned customer services to find out when the resin repair would be done, they told my wife they were unable to get through to the Birmingham branch and would email us the information that day. Did not recieve any email so my wife phoned the next day again to customer services.She was told that the job had been signed off has being completed so the service engineer either did not mention to head office about the door repair or head office just ignored him.My wife explained to them that all the jobs had not been completed and she was told that a new job sheet had been sent to the Birmingham office and we would recieve a phone call to let us know when the repairs would be completed.Still no phone call, So the moral of this story is STAY AWAY FROM SAFESTYLE UK WINDOWS.There product is good however the fitting needs vast improvement and there customer services are non-existent. Also do not pay in full until all the work is completed, i was too trusting and paid in full(Lesson learned)
Had a composite door and side panel fitted, also French doors at back off property. Firstly had a three week delay, finally fitted 21/12/15. French doors opened wrong way, locks wrong fitting window scew wiff, Front door so out off line it didn't even fit in frame therefore rain is pissing in from the top. Internal beading missing locks wrong and side panel 60mm out off line with front door. D'ont bother ringing customer care they blame the regional fitters and wont even lodge a complaint. By the way had remedial fitters today who have fixed the French doors, 4/2/16. It was going so well but alas the front door and side panel to be replaced is the wrong one, deep joy wonder what will turn up in the safestyle lucky bag next time. Photographic evidence available.
Had Windows and composite door fitted in August, fitters damaged doors on fitting and drove off when tackled about the damage. Now 5 months and 7 visits later they
1 . don't turn up and use the excuse they got stuck in traffic
2. . they turn up with damaged parts and say it's not worth fitting them they will re order they can't help it they are having problems with the manufacturer
3 . Turn up with wrong parts and claim they didn't know any better that's what they have been told
Do not use this company they are unprofessional . That show quality in standards. And are completely ignorant . If you are daft enough to use them don't pay them untill everything is 100%
