This gate was installed about 7 years ago so I am aware that it is out of warranty, but that is not the problem. I have had a licensed firm that does gate repair come out here. I have incurred almost $400 in expenses to have it repaired. The firm has given me free time and labor to repair and have not been able to do so. The rep of Door King has been out here and was of no help other than to suggest in an e-mail that I use another company. The rep initially had full confidence in the company I used as he told me use the same repair person that came out originally. I have contacted the company and have spoken to April Young on October 23, 2020. She requested that I send her all the correspondence with the DoorKing rep which I did. In addition I sent her copies of bills that I incurred. She asked what I wanted and I told her a free repair. She said she would call back that day and never did. I called her on Monday October 26, 2020 and left a message. She never called back. The original repair company that I paid $400 to does not want to come out. If this was a simple repair it would have been done already. There is something intrinsically wrong with this system that DoorKing refuses to recognize. It is similar to a car recall. If the original company that I used cannot repair it, calling another company would incur further expenses and I strongly feel that they will not have the answer. Why cannot DoorKing understand that there is a major problem with this unit and repair it? I have gotten a continuous run a round. Can you help?
