I stopped in at the Amsterdam NY Ruby Tuesday's on 4/10/26 with my 6-yr old grandson for dinner. We had a terrible experience that needs to be addressed! To begin with, the board on the wall in the dining area stated "kids eat free" I mentioned that to the waitress to ask what was included; if it was just "specific" items, she first said "she did not know anything about that" and then stated, "the board info is NOT correct, it's old and told me not to pay attention to that" After that somewhat rude gesture from the waitress, after viewing the menu, I did not see any "kids" section so I then asked her if there were a "kids" menu I could look at, she did not answer my question and simply walked away, while waiting for her to return to our table, we visited the rest room, after returning to our table, a few minutes had passed and I then asked her again if there were a "kids" menu, she did not speak but pointed to a piece of paper she had put on our table while we were in the rest room which appeared to be a coloring page for my grandson and then she proceeded to flip it over where the other side of that was a small "kids" menu. How would we know that when she had just left it on table while we were in rest room and I did not know there was a "kids" menu on the reverse side? That alone was dis-satisfying to me as she should have brought that to my attention when she saw we returned to the table. After waiting a few more minutes for her to assist us (by that point I was contemplating leaving the restaurant) I then placed an order for myself and my grandson. We were not given any silverware, there were no silverware items on the table, we also were not given any napkins, she placed our orders on the table and quickly walked away, when I attempted to get her attention to ask for napkins, she was further away so after a couple more minutes, she finally came to the table, I then stated we needed napkins and did not have any, well, when I asked for the napkins she looked at me with a miserable facial expression and looked at me like I annoying her! We were NOT treated as dining customers should be, she was NOT attentive as she should have been, rather rude and made us feel like we were "bothering" her! She did not refill our water and was over-all just not attentive. To be honest, I could not wait to leave the restaurant, I felt the service we had was very poor! I would like this to be acknowledged, and it would be good of Ruby Tuesday's to somehow compensate us for our very poor experience!
