Rite Aid Pharmacy staff

Store 06086, 4300 Elverta Rd, 2/13 approx 7 pm

Was harassed by staff and publicly embarrassed when the clerk, speaking in a loud voice, proceeded to lecture me about my "narcotics use" (I have cancer) and then after I started to walk away from the interaction, proceeded to yell at me from her place at the register. The conversation escalated further, I informed her I would never return to this store after more than 17 years as a patient/customer, so then she proceeded to get on the store loudspeaker and tried to shame me. I left the store, and then this person called my cell phone 3 times in a row, and when she couldn't goad me further, turned around and called my physician's office and informed them I physically assaulted her. So in one visit I was shamed, had my HIPPA rights violated and then slandered.

Desired outcome: I would like a formal apology to myself and the doctor's office, and the employee reprimanded

Rite Aid Prescription filled wrong without doctor authorization any change

Hi my name is suhad I go to rite aid on 3rd ave, Brooklyn, Bayridge, their number is +[protected]. I am not trying to be hurtful to anyone but I feel like I was not treated the right way and I had to fix my own prescription. I dropped off a copy from my doctor for a medication called xcopri he wrote 25mg and he didn’t know the company doesn’t manufacture it that way. The next available dose is 50mg. The pharmacist who filled it made changes on the prescription to 25mg, half tablet and she didn’t call. When I picked it up, I looked at it? It didn’t look right? I called, I spoke with the pharmacist, she said bring it back it’s wrong, next day another new one was there gave me the new change in quantity and just said did the doctor say to cut it in half, and she said sorry, I went back with some research? The pill cannot be cut. Now after all of this the doctor ends up calling them and fixing the mistake that he is not aware of from the start? I know I wrote too much but my point is why do all of this? Why non if these pharmacists took the time to search a medication they are not familiar with instead of saying we didn’t fill it. And the main one I did not hear from her at all? Thank you.

Desired outcome: Feed back

Rite Aid Pharmacist rude and unhelpful

2/18/2023 - 5:50 PM

I was prescribed the wrong medication and dosage schedule by the ER doctor a week ago. It was supposed to be Macrobid 100 mg taken twice a day. I was prescribed Macrodantin, which is taken 4 times a day. The pharmacist SHOULD have caught the discrepancy because the dosage was wrong for Macrodantin. I discovered the error myself 6 days into taking a ten-day supply. I called the pharmacist earlier today to explain the situation and she told me to call the prescribing doctor. I then called ER and the doctor called in the correct prescription, Macrobid. I have a bacteria that is resistant, and this makes the situation even worse now. I called the pharmacist back to ask a question about the Macrobid and to see if I could get the name brand. I know they are busy, but she seemed impatient and rude. I told her that the new RX the ER doc called in does not say generic for Macrobid and the image does not match the previous marcobid pills I took before. She argued and insisted it was Macrobid, and kept asking me where I was seeing it and am I sure it is not the previous bottle I am looking at. Duh. I am not an idiot. I told her several times where I was seeing the NEW prescription info. She acted defensive and said how would she prove it to me. I was like, what? There is no need to be rude to a customer like that. She was part of the problem and issue for not seeing the discrepancy with the original RX and dosing schedule. It should have raised a red flag. She said I would have to come in and look at the bottle to see what it says. I said I am looking at it right now on the payment link. It does not say generic for Macrobid. I asked to get the name brand to be safe and she said they did not have it. I said where can I get it? After being put on hold, she said she can try, but there are no guarantees and I would have to wait until Monday. Having no other option, I agreed. A little bit later, I decided to go pick-up the generic that she said was Macrobid to use until I could get the name brand on Monday. I rushed over before they closed at 6PM and got there ten minutes before closing. They had already CLOSED THE PHARMACY WINDOWS. I went to the pick-up window and there were two people there. The pharmacist and the assistant I assume. I explained the situation and asked if I could get the generic until the name brand came in. The assistant said no. She said they cancelled the generic to order the name brand, so I would have to wait until Monday. That is two more days creating a resistant bacteria with the wrong med/dosage. They were only concerned with closing up and going home. They did not care. They continued doing what they were doing instead of actually coming to the window and speaking to me directly. It was rude, unprofessional, and uncaring. I understood what they were saying, but I was just looking for a solution in the meantime. They offered no possible solutions at all as they scurried around closing up, not even looking at me most of the time. I asked if I could get two days supply of the generic until the name brand came in. "No," I could not. Okay. I stood there trying to figure something out since I was not getting any help from them. The assistant actually told me I had only 7 minutes to decide what I wanted to do! Wow. All they cared about was closing and leaving. I explained I was just trying to come up with a solution and wasn't sure what to do. I explained the bacteria I have is known for being anti-biotic resistant, so I'm just trying to fix the mistake that was made and not have to deal with that. They did not care and I said so. I said, "Wow, nobody cares." The pharmacist then, RUDELY began berating me. "You called me three times!" As if "shame on you!" I called because the doctor and the pharmacy had made a mistake and I was trying to rectify it myself. I saw that the pharmacist's rudeness and anger was escalating and inwardly-disgusted with their attitude and treatment, I walked away and left the store. I will be transferring my RXs to another company and pharmacy and will never use Rite Aid pharmacy again.

Desired outcome: More professional, caring, compassionate, diligent, observant pharmacists. Better customer care training perhaps.

Rite Aid Pharmacy

I am a chronic pain patient. My pain specialist at Johns Hopkins prescribed me 90 15 mg instant release tablets every 30 days. I go in on the proper day to get my medicine and always get told that they are out of stock, and they have to order. Which takes 1 to 2 days. My doctor phoned them in on a Friday and I was scheduled to pick them up on Sunday. I am disabled and rely on Paratransit to get to the pharmacy and Lyft to come home which costs me money on my Social Security income. I go in today and was told the medicine is not in stock and to check back tomorrow after 2pm. Well I have to schedule Paratransit a day in advance, for next day service before 5pm. If I schedule a ride and it's still not there I am out more money to take a Lyft home. If my meds are not ready tomorrow I will be in withdrawals but do they care? They had 2 days to make sure my morphine was in stock, but failed. I am so mad and in awful pain. They have no respect

Desired outcome: To be more astute when their stock gets low and they know a customer will be coming on a certain day for their pain management regimen

Rite Aid Store 11250 gainsborough square chesapeake va 23320 pharmacy should be reported

The last several months this store has gone from top notch pharmacy- to complete unprofessional toxic customer service. The old pharmacist as well as those that work alongside them treated customers with respect as well realized often customers have been coming to this location for well over 20 years. If they did not have your script available, they would let you know and would also take the time find the manufacturer of a script that worked best for you. 99 percent of the time it would be a day or 2 and they would have it- if that 1 percent they could not get it sent direct- they would call other stores in the area to make sure your customer was taking care of.

It now will take 3 to 5 business days and 3 to 4 hours on hold to no one answering in the pharmacy PHONE! So, then you call the front of the store- they try and ring the back of the store- still no answer. The reason for this - as well have made several trips to which- scripts were not ready when I was told they would be.

I have also watch complete disrespect in how your employees speak to those asking questions. If you have chosen to work in the field of filling prescriptions-you certainly should be educated enough to realize you will have elders or those very sick and in need of compassion instead of screaming or speaking down to. Without customers Rite-Aid will not have a need for your pharmacy and it is very clear that this has continued for several months now. Rite Aid your loss a great asset to your company with the previous employees that worked in this pharmacy. It would be in your best interest to remind your current employees to answer the phone as well to accommodate your customers. It only takes a few minutes for your customers to call the pharmacy board and file a complaint as well- call other locations to see if in fact a certain script that works best for you is available and other pharmacist that work for Rite-Aid said all they have to do is call and order it.

Corporate needs to have district managers throughout the country when multiple complaints have been made-pull a pharmacist from another location to fill the position with a bonus will at said store until you are able to fill the position.

Rite Aid Corporate for pharmacy on News Road in Williamsburg, VA.

When Rite aid closed the Merrimac Rd. location in Williamsburg, VA. location 4–5 months ago with 1 week of warning to customers, the News road location became so overwhelmed that they rarely can answer their phones. It used to take our family 10–15 minutes, once the prescription was ready on the same day it was called in to go, pick up and return home. It now takes an average of 3 hours, 20-25 min each way, and the rest of the time waiting in the pickup line. Worse, 3 times we got a message saying a prescription was ready, finally get our turn in the pick-up line and told it would be days more. Since November, we have had to drive there at least 2–5 days before we need a prescription filled just to order the refill because they are too busy to answer their phones. It is very hard to do this as well as standing in line for at least an hour (1of us has 12 malignant tumors in the Spinal cord & the other is severely sick & malnourished weighing under 80 lbs) This store has to close 2 hours early to get their work done! Tensions are high with staff and customers! I don't blame the staff, they are doing their best.

I am complaining about Corporate! Who are well aware of the problems yet have not resolved the issues! Not everyone can just change pharmacies because of these reasons because most insurance companies don't see these issues as a problem.

Desired outcome: HELP!!!!!!Please🙏 let everyone here know what you are doing about it.

Rite Aid Pharmacist on the corner of Richfield and Genesee Rd Flint Michigan

I had a prescription order called over from my physician on 1/16/23 for the medication Dicyc! Omine 20 mg for 120 pills. I use the Rite Aid store number 4515 on the corner of Mount Morris Rd and Genesee Rd Mount Morris, Michigan Rite Aid pharmacy informed me on 1/16/23 that the medication was on back order and they would have it in 1/19/23. Rite Aid still hadn't received the medication. I called today 1/19/23 the pharmacist informed me he only had 40 pills, and that I should call other Rite Aids for my Dicyclomine. I called the Rite Aid on the corner of Richfield and Genesee Rd, store number 4519 Flint, Michigan. They had 80 pills of the Dicyclomine, and that I would have to speak with the Pharmacist. The pharmacist informs me she could not fill my prescription with the 80 pills of Dicyclomine 20 mg they had because they don't fill partial orders, I can only get my prescriptions filled at my original Rite Aid pharmacy. I know that's a lie. She knows what the Dicyclomine is used to treat, who wants to stay in the bathroom literally all day 3-5 every day!

Desired outcome: I would like my prescription filled by whatever Rite Aid pharmacy that has any Dicyclomine.

Rite Aid Pharmacy

Pharmacist unprofessional and rude. On 01.12.22 my Dr prescribed a medication and sent it to the pharmacy. It was not until 01.13.22 I received a text saying delayed for approval. This is Friday late afternoon of a 3-day weekend. I called. David Bol ? not sure on the spelling of his last name, told me I was stupid and had no idea what I was talking about. I tried multiple times to explain to him I have 2 insurances. He hung up on me. I called the main # of the Ephrata WA store and spoke to the store manager. She tried to assist and was able to at least send the information to my Dr's office.. Now on 01.18.22 I get a text finally my rx is ready. But with a $10 co-pay. Wrong, my secondary insurance picks of my co-pays. I again called David the pharmacist again, put me on hold and had someone else talk to me. Yet again my rx is not ready as David dropped the ball again. I am only on disability income and do not have funds to pay the co-pay. So now I have gone a week with out my medication.

I do not understand how a pharmacist can be in a position with no accountability.

Desired outcome: reprimand in some form,

Rite Aid Insulting, rude, and unprofessional rite ai employee

I started coming to pick up my medications 5 months ago at Rite Aid #07843 located at 3700 Walnut street, McKeesport, PA 15132. Every time I come to this location for my medication, an employee by name Casandra S. always treat me with rudeness and inhuman. I feel that I have been treated by Casandra with disdain because of my race. On January 16, 2023, she treated me very badly again. I could not take it any longer and got the attention of her manager and complained to him of Casandra's rudeness and unprofessionalism. While I was lodging my complaint, Casandra looking on at her manager and I was speechless. I got Casandra's name from her manager. Moreover, After picking my medication, I stayed around an observed ow Casandra would treat other customers. I was stuned to see Casandra treating two other Caucasians with respect and dignity.

Desired outcome: Employee Casandra needs to be made aware of her rudeness and disregards of minorities coming to patronize Rite Aid. Probably she needs to be retrained.

Rite Aid Prescriptions

My doctor put me on Farxiga a few months ago. Every time I go to the Rite Aid in Silver Creek, they never have it in stock. They tell me, they have to order it. Then it is at least 3 days before they get it in stock. This is not the only medication this has happened with. It happened with my Metformin, Atorvastatin, and Glipizide, at different times, also. Also a lot of my friends are complaining about this store.

Desired outcome: Do a more thorough job of inventorying their meds, so people do not have to wait days for them.

Rite Aid Manager

I worked for rite aid a year and a half and I was always being harassed and target by my manager. If I called out he would make me bring a note in after one absence and no one else had to, he would text me telling me I ruined everything for him. Finally at thanksgiving I had enough and quit because of him. I reported it to human resource and they did nothing. Now I’m out of a job. I tried to apply to another store snd was told I’m not rehirable because I quit. I had to not that I wanted to.

Desired outcome: I had to leave my job

Rite Aid Pharmacy

When I call in prescriptions, they are almost never ready at the time given. They use versions of the same rediculous excuse of we are still working on it. If that is true the a re training or firing of the staff. If it takes more than two hours to count 100 tablets, then something is seriously wrong with the physical and mental abilities of the staff.

Desired outcome: When a time is given in which one is able to receive a prescription, it should be ready at that time. Your system does properly work

Rite Aid The Rite Aid Location Store 709 Main Street Poughkeepsie, NY 12601

This location, had a prescription for me (Nicotine Patches), that my Humana Prescription Plan Covers In full, instead they tried to request I pay for the 3 boxes of Nicotine Patches that cost 68.00 each. This is unacceptable and should be investigated. In the past Humana have covered Nicotine Patches, and I feel that Criminal Acts are being conducted within this location Pharmacy Department. It is important that you investigate this as soon as possible, this is the second time I was told that a prescription that was sent to this location, Humana do not cover it, but in the past it did, you can reach me at [protected]@yahoo.com, or [protected]. Rite Aid Pharmacy

I started coming to this Rite Aid a few months back and every time I come here, they are very rude, very unprofessional and very slow.

First Incident: I had a prescription that was filled and received the text message and phone call stating it was ready. When I got there, they told me that it wasn't ready. I showed them the text and played the message, and they told me it would take 2 hours to fill...? Second Incident: My Dr. called in a prescription at 9:00 am. I called at 11:45 am and the person who answered the phone was rude and told me that it would be ready after 2:00 pm. I said I apologize but I need this prescription filled as soon as possible and she was like it will be filled after 2:00 pm. I then asked to be transferred to the pharmacist so I can speak to them, and she said sure, she put me on hold and didn't transfer me. I have 3 other incidents, but I only can type a certain number of words here. The pharmacy department here is incompetent, unprofessional and very rude! This is people's medications - lives that nobody should be playing around with

Desired outcome: Hire competent, pleasant, respectful employees who know what they are doing! Make sure to take care of my prescriptions in a timely manner; when I come in talk to me like YOUR CUSTOMERS DESERVE to be talked too & treated!

Rite Aid Pharmacy service

Pharmacy at S H Street, Bakersfield are unprofessional and fail their customers. The first issue was about a week or so ago. Waiting for a new script due to a broken clavicle we contacted the pharmacy to check status. They said automated system would alert when it was ready. The pharmacy closed at 6 and we received notification at approximately 6. Today after surgery and before picking patient up I attempted to get prescription. Was informed they needed patients 🆔 Returned to pharmacy after picking up patient and had to wait for them to fill prescription. They knew I was coming back and I feel it was delayed on purpose because I had complained about their service. No compassion for the patient no apologies just unprofessional service including the pharmacist who I spoke with. You need to review these people

Desired outcome: Check in on there procedures and lack of communication skills.
