I have repeatily asked the employees to stop calling me 2 and three times a day including additional calls to my wife, also two and three times a day. My god this bill is like $17.00 a week. I just finished paying off early a $3, 000.00 bedroom set and a $3000.00 livingroom set. He tried to rip me off whe I was paying off those items. These people are so crooked they stink. One day the manager called me 6 times. I have called the district manager and spoke with him once. Now he wont answer the phone or return my calls. I owe I believe 100.00 or so. If I were to look at my contract I bet It's less than that. Plus I have paid a "CLUB" fee which nowhere in the contract it is mentioned. $3.00 per item per week for the last year plus. They come up with late fees and whatever they think of. Please help me with this.

The customer service at the Rent A Center here in Portland Oregon is so awful. These guys act more like loan sharks than people. They all bully you and it really reminds me of an episode of The Sopranos only I think dealing with Tony Soprano might be a more pleasant experience. I wish I had never started doing business with these wise guys. They tell me *** like where were you? What happened if I'm just a day late? I am serious if you don't need them please for the love of God don't use them...

I went on Wednesday 18, 2017 at 6:41pm I bought a plasma 42' inch for $961.74 with tax's $1, 024.25 with all cash I signed the recite but there was no written no refund because I looked at it and gave it to him he gave it back folded but when I got home and saw it I came back 2 get my $ because my mom said it was too much but they closed I went the next day to get my $ back the same assistant manager said no with attitude and the TV on the side was scratched but he said that he cant give me the $ with attitude plus it has no guaranty for it he just said rudely well just keep it I said no because what he did is fraud after my signature was already printed that's when he wrote it that has never happened to me very bad service if I talk to customer service and they wont do nothing about it I am suing the rent-a-centre

When I looked at my statement before going to work I noticed a NSF chg on my bank account. As I continued to research this charge it seemed to be one from a friend who did my taxes online last year. Why am I now being charged 45.00? I had my taxes done by another company and they have never charged me. I cannot seem to get a live person on the phone because I live on the east coast. Now I have to change my account number to avoid from happening again. What a hassle.

My mom had an account with rent a centre. She recently paste away in August of 08.i lost my job so I couldn't pay for the account at one point.then my uncle started helping out .every month was a different amount with them saying we were always late.. Last month I made 2 payments back to back when I was only suppose to pay monthly. .then after that I said ok when is my next payment the said Feb 24 how much 286. Today I went in the tried to charge me close to 400 saying I was late. The manger insulted my aunt. Also not to mention that he stalked me on Valentines Day while I was leaving my house with a group of friends. I thought that was very unprofessional. I was just trying to pay off my moms debts to leave her name clean .this company is a fraud.

Don't buy stuff at Rent-A-Center. Don't you realize that you end up paying at least 3 times what the article is worth? Buy used from a private owner cash up. If you can't afford that, do without. I think anyone is a fool to buy stuff on time like this. Places like this thrive on the gullibility of the poor, the uneducated, dollar millionaires, people who find it necessary you live beyond their means. I realize some have a legitimate need, such as a refrigerator, but from what I have seen it's unnecessary items like TV's, stereos, etc. rent a centre is making millions on such irresponsible behaviour. Get a clue!

i am renting a computer and rent a center keeps calling over and over when they want their rentreal payment i tell them i would be in a certain day to pay it and a certain time and they leave messeges after messeges and ui return their calls and they keep on calling and they even have called my father a few times who i used for a refrence to call me and this is after i already called them about the computer and this is all the time what can i do about this and can this be stop

My guess is that you're pretty behind on payments. Anyone with a brain cell or two would think "Hmmm...perhaps if I pay them, the phone calls will go away!" Rent A Center probably deals with many deadbeats who don't pay and make up excuse after excuse...how do they know you're not one of them? Quit whining and f*ing pay your overdue bill.

Your trinidad co manager is a rip off this is the second time with this manager there will be no third time he will not honor replace defect goods but he will put you off till the next payment and if you dont pay he will take your goods and you can kiss your money good buy also he will permit his staff to enter your house with children and if you are not home which is a federal lawn i will do eveything in my power to make customers aware of the practices in your trinidad store i have been in retail mangement for 23 years and this is the worst customer service i have seen.

I have been a rent a center customer for years. ino longer needed the computer iwas renting due to high costs of rentals i purchased one elsewhere.

anyhow when calling the store they did not want to pick up so offered to drop off few days later when i came to town well i was snowed out. i recieved a threating phone call saying i had till 6pm to deliver goods or else. or else what i thought your policy was to pick up and deliver your goods. iw- will seek other companies from now on. This conversation took place with company lead named joe at store in consumer plaza rt 3 plattsburgh ny.

Dan- I work for RAC and you're right. The store should have picked up your laptop. Sometimes, a store cannot pick up an item the very day a customer calls due to already scheduled deliveries, but they should have worked something out with you - I'm sorry to hear that didn't happen and that your experience went south. I hope you called or will call customer support at [protected] and report the issue so that the district manager over that store can follow up with what happened in your particular case.

RAC on 147th silbel in the fair play shopping mall, my daughter and i both went in to get a bedroom set we ask if we could have seprate contract becaus we get paid at different time, they said no but they will work it out around both of our pay period, well on nov 15th, we agree to monthly payment so on that day i paied 112.oo and so did she, it was suppose to be next day deliever, we waited and after two days was told that it was at another store and no one was available to pick it up, so about a week it was delivery after i demaned my money back, we got the wrong thing and my set was damage, it took 4 more days for them t come and look at it, prior to me taking picure up there, i was told that it would be fix or replace, another week pass and they was calling me for a payment, i was stunned, so i made a week payment of 40.00 and again was promise results, 2 weeks and they call again for payments i refuse and they came and got the furniture, a week later they sent in the mail a 'I WANT U BACK LETTER' AND I CALL AND TOLD THEM TO KISS MY ***.

Almost the same thing happened at the Lodi California Store I have a defected tv that they have put me on hold for the past couple of months I have never been late on a payment and all I want is the custmer srvice I was promise at the time I bought the tv It's hard when your paying 3 times what it's worth but they need too follow throught with they promised

Im a very unhappy customer at this point and all they have to say is that i should choose a smaller tv.i just made my first payment on a 42 inch panasonic plasma tv.when we did the contracts and the paper work, the sales person failed to point out that there was tax and insurance that would make the price go from 27.99 to 37.00. im pretty pissed thats 10 bucks a week more that i have to pay every week for the next 2 years.the manager wsa completely rude and spoke to me like i was an idiot, when i asked why it was 10 dollars more than we planned on, im probably going to give the tv back and put one on layaway at k mart, the same tv for half the price, i was dumb to be sold on this deal, im never going there again.

I rent a washer, dryer and refridgerator for RAC. I am a few days late because we had major problems while on vacation with a leak and my car messing up. They came by while I was at work. I work at night and it is very difficult to do things during the day while I am on my stretch of 12 hour shifts. I left a note on my front door that I would be in on Thursday to pay as soon as my pay got depositedl Apparantely, they cannot read of just don't give a ***. I specifically said do not knock on the door because I sleep during the day. They not only knocked on the door they beat on the door for about 15 minutes and I just let them beat on it. I thought they would tear it down. They are very rude and I am thinking of just returning the items and going to pay cash for them somewhere else..

Please know that our policy does not allow excessive calls or knocking on the door. If you weren’t able to work out the payment with your store, please contact our Customer Service line at [protected] and let them know about your circumstances. This way, they can loop in the district manager and work out a payment schedule that works for you. I wish you the best with the car and home repairs!

The manager in port st. lucie florida is nasty. She doesn't work with anyone. I have purchased and paid off a lot of things there. This week in August is a little tough. We have 6 people in this house I know I am late on payment by a few days I have no problem paying a late fee. Very nasty she said either pay today or I will pick it up. I said then pick it up I can't pay today. I told her 5:30 she said she'll be here a 6:00, I is a washer and dryer that I have had for 2 years now. I have purchase from you two coach a mattress and box spring, computer and now a washer and dryer. You have always been understanding and polite until she started working here. It is the one on US1 in florida. Thank you I will now do my business elsewhere.

I will not ever go back to RAC for anything. When trying to get a hold of these so call workers they never return phone calls unless they want their money. They con people and I feel if the people would go to the BBB. or Consumer Affair maybe they will see what type of people they are as for me they gave me THREE different prices for the 90 days. They can not get their prices together can they. As a consumer I feel cheated on the way they handle customers. We need to stand together and NOT let these people get away from treating people like nothing. Call the BBB or the Consumer Affairs to let them know how RAC treats the consumer.

i rent it this tv on sept 28, 2017 and i made all payment up to date and i finish paying it already but while i was paying i had call rent a center and notified them that the tv was having some problems wit the lamp so they came and pick it up to make a mess up job on it cause now is worst than before and they dont want to change my tv or reimburst me back wat i pay for it i really need help cause i paid $4, 381 for a broken tv i think they should let me know that this tv was damage before a made the full payment can some one please tell wat i have to do i try calling but the manager always hiding he never there i go in person and the same thing i need help this ppl cant be saleing wroken items is not fair the tv is a sony model #kdf50e20000 i called the sony company and they came to see the tv and they told me to return it back but the rent a center doesnt want to talk to me so i come here to get help, if ya could see in the top is a red color and in the bottom is blue and it say when i turn it on that the lamp need to be replace and thats why rent a center took the tv first of all to fix it, they never send it to fix they try to do on they own without knowing wat they was doing all i need to know were to go to get help please

I have been renting a TV and bedroom set from rent a center its almost paid off. Never had a proublem lost my job started being late on my payments still no problum. till i added a laptop and the TV and bedroom set is almost paid off. Now they start calling befor my payment is due come to my house before the store is even open and after it is closed. they call if they get an answer machine they call from another number rite away. if i dont answer the phone then their is a reason i will get your message.when they stop at the house they are rude to who answers the door or who answers the phone.

Rent a center constanly harrasing me about making payments when me and my significant other have told them that our cars are not in the best conditions to get down there. Yet rent a center just does not get it. First off I told them to only call me on Saturdays between eleven and twelve but they just dont listen and call me when I am trying to sleep. I recently spoke with Mark an employee who just would not listen to anything I had to say. Telling me I had to get down there or make a payment over the phone. Mark also claims that my significant other told Mark that my significant other was going to make a payment. When my significant other said nothing of that sort. My significant other told rent a center that he would see wht he could do. Rent a Center persisted to say we broke our committed agreement, also they told me not to be rude to them when they were exceptionally rude to me. When did it become okay for empoyees to be rude to there customers. I thought the customer was always right.

That’s why we offer several ways to make payments: in person, over the phone or our online system, ePay if it’s more convenient for you. In order to use ePay, you'll need to create an online account with us, using the same e-mail address that you gave to the store, and then go into your account to set up your rental agreement for online payments. Today I went to make payment regular manager was not there the man there was not taking my payment unless I had full payment I have been paying catch up he said I need to turn in my tv I have been paying late at times but I also brought every item there I have a computer I payed out it still dosen't work correctly its been more in the shop than used I have it insured it comes back the same why can't it be replaced I have payed an arm and a leg. Santiago regular manager has worked with me but to day was the last straw I will lose money but Im tired of getting jerked around by the repair shop and now Im almost finishpaying my tv but I will lose it let it be it but I want justice done on the computer.I got the lcd tv one year ago I hope the manager tonite can get removed Regualar manager Santiagio is the best.

My name is Norma Shatzer Taylor. I live in Hagerstown Md. I have had pretty much the same experience w/store #1609-M manager Chris.He has went way beyond the rules of RAC courtesy..rules . calling our home 6 or more times a day..bein at our home at least 4 times a day. Pounding on our door ringing our door bell irritating my Mom who is 75 years old.Shw was here watching our babies while I was in the hospital!.Refused money from us..when we were fortunate enough to get a ck..My daughter is also a single Mom striving to take care of her financial responsibilities.We have been dealing w/Rac for over ten years and have never had these issues to deal with causing us stress that has affected us both to the point of having to get meds from our private physicians. Affecting our health issues terribly!We have bought tens of thousands of dollars of furniture and appliances..paid everything off .We now own it all!Unfortunately we have fell into financial distress.I have went there personally explained situation.He bluntly said I dont care I'm bring the police and pickin up ur ###..I said so be it..I recently returned sum ### to them mattress box springs..etc.Set it out on my deck because he pressured us to realms of distressing Us !I'm now sleeping on my carpet..but thats ok. its better than sleeping on junk mattress they sold us to rent, it collapsed the (box springs)!Actually he is at my door rt now Pounding on my door.. ringing the doorbell constantly numerous times..This is utter ###! When i am able to financially pay it off..I We) The Shatzers will never ever rent to own from Rent A Center ever again..The company is going to loose tens of thousands of dollars..Actually I would gracefully prefer Aarons rental to anyone.They have more personal PPL persons in their management!Thxs but no Thxs Rent A Center will never get another penny out of us and our family members due their management here in Hagerstown md 21740 at store #1609!I even contacted our so called regional Mgr..no response back from him as of yet..WTH kind of managers does this company hire. Certainly none workable to help defer payments or such helping anyone unfortunate to be in financial distress thats for sure!Salavee Rent A Center You will be history ASAP!

Joe Ayala at Rent A Center is the store manager in Reading PA. We went through rough times the past couple months, financially, and Joe was patient, understanding...And he also helped us get back until we can get back on our feet. (Not pushy) I recommend Rent A Center. We have rented from RAC for a few years and everyone in the store has been awesome. Any business who does not receive their money, especially in this type of business, must pick up merchandise. So before anyone gets 'pissed" call the store, they work with you.

The epay system used by Rent-A-Center is archaic, since account holders can only make payments on all agreements, as opposed to making payments on individual agreements. In fact, the system is such that when account holders only have ONE agreement, the system will not accept payments.

I purchased some furniture from rent-a-center cash and carry. not rented. the items were listed as-is. I made an agreement with the manager that if I bought a sofa, loveseat, table, chair and a dryer they would deliver it all free of charge. when I got the sofa and loveseat there wasn't any legs. the manager said he will get them for me and he's sorry. 5 weeks later and given a few stories and left countless messges I called the corporate office. that same day I recieved a call from someone at the keyser avenue...scranton store saying that they'll deliver the legs to me and put them on. I made an appointment for today, thursday 3-3-2017. they told me they're on their way 3 1/2 hours ago and I live less than a mile away.

I have seen some rip offs in my life but Rent A Center has got to be the worst ever! On a $450.00 sale, NOT RENT, over $300 paid. Late 2X but always paid. Went in to pay and they said "nope" coming to get the furniture! Even if I wanted to pay it off, nope! So that's how they make their money by ripping people off, then reselling it again! And wasn't repaired as they said they would! I've never seen a business this bad in my life and I'm 70 years old. This was my grandson. NEVER EVER do business with them. A shame!

late paying my bill due to the lost of my job, but has paid about $700. if not more for a dinning room table.Make arrangements to come in and pay was $59.00 short of paying my bill off and the worker name Eric refuse to take my payment and told me he would be over to pick up the table (yea right and you refuse to take my money) Then on dec 23, 2017 came to my house(this guy name Eric with his co worker yelling outside so I open my door told him i would be in when I could he told me I was going to pay now or he was getting HIS stuff..I told him I was about to leave (had my three kids with me) he lays his big ### body on my door not letting me out telling me what I was going to do I got the door open a little enough to get one of my shoulder out the door finally I had to use all my body weight to force him off my screen door then he told me I better stop assaulting him(ok yea right and you wont let me out my house ) Needless to say I went down to file a police report on this fool...I know you have to do a job but he went far and beyond to assualting...

That may be there but in Chillicothe they treat you like S**t. They flooded my newly built home when they didn't hook up my washer right. It flooded my laundry room, dining room, kitchen, and my masterbath. They told us not to worry about paying for the washer and dryer and now they are calling up to 10x a day and banging on our doors and they have dented them. They have also banged and left information on our new neighbors doors. They are a nothing but harassers and don't care about their customers.

i also had the same problem with a rent a center in akron ohio, i had bought a lot of stuff from them and always paid it off, on this occasion i decided to get living room set, no problem paid every month, except for the thanksgiving day payment being late as, i was working overtime cause of the holiday (i cater) so i had been working non stop day and night, told them to take a cc over the phone and he refused, i told thenm i would be home at 9 and i would stop in the morning on my way back to work, well these idiots decided that it was ok to enter my home without anyone being home, yes this was breaking and entering to take the funiture, ok they were not very bright, I called the Police immediatly the neighbors also verifyed it was rent a center, i filed a police report, my homeowners insurenance was not happy to say the least, as my front door was damaged and a check for 500.00 was also missing as i just got paid the day before, and like i said they broke in, yes as idiotic as it sounds they broke in to retrieve there funiture, BIG mistake, bob the dm called me to resolve the situation and to sign papers to drop the charges and never to disclose the incident to the media, for repayment of the check and also for the damages to the front door, they also paid 250.00 for the inconvience of his employees breaking into my house, i wish i was thinking more clear and had the time i would of sued the crap out of them, for the mear fact other then breaking into a locked empty house, the employees that he assured me would be fired we not fired, so i am not in viloation of the non-disclosure agreement cause they are in breech for not fireing them, they lost me as a customer and i will NEVER go to them again
