Rent-A-Center accountant manager

This account manager in Canandaigua, NY has texted off his personal cell phone that he was basically going to fight my dad after they decided to take money off of a card they weren't supposed to touch. His exact words were "Who the [censored] you talking to, [censored] I'll ruin your life [censored]. Let's not wait, where you at [censored], yeah that's what I thought [censored]!" He's disrespectful and I don't understand how ANYONE can allow a worker to speak to customers this way. I am appalled. This company has gone down hill and it's ridiculous. Learn to choose workers wisely.

Rent-A-Center calls and texts being made with employee cell phone

An employee from rent a center store on cliffdale rd, Fayetteville, NC has been calling me and texting me from their personal cell phone. In the text i was told that i was to pay now or they're picking up only and underlined only! I am only a week late and feel harrassed by an employee who is texting me from his personal cell phone which i think should be off limits for an employee to use a personal phone and not a company phone . If it does not stop, i will be pressing charges.

Rent-A-Center after hours phone calls and rude managers and employees

Now I understand when you are late with a payment someone from the store wil call you that being said I have several problems with this. First of all if for even half a second when they leave a message they are being intimidating they aren't especially when they say things like "if you don't come in and pay i'm going to need to pick up my merchandise" quick question since when do paid by the hour rent-a-center employees own the "merchandise" people rent from your stores this is laughable and amusing if nothing else. Secondly if the store closes at 7pm why please tell me why do I have your employees calling me at 8:55? Especially if they have already called me and my spouse 3 times each (while we both are working and left a message each time) during the day. We find this to be completely unprofessional, rude, and an altogether lack of good customer service and ethics. You guys suck. Oh and one more thing the next time one of your little "tough"employees bangs not knocks like a normal person i'm not responsible for what happens while open the door scream at them and then slam it shut in their face I suffer migraines and the one night they banged on my door I had a real bad one and these fools stood out that's for at least 10 to 12 minutes banging the whole time did I forget to mention it was at 9:30 at night 2 and 1/2 hours after the store closes. I think you need to reevaluate your hiring process because even the "new"manager they brought in hasn't quite figures out customer service skills or manners but then again I don't know if she even knows her left hand from her right hand. Get your act together start a new hiring process especially for moncks corner south carolina!

Rent-A-Center customer service

Heritage rent a center employee "Nicole" eas very rude to me. While in the midst of conversing she is argumentative unnecessarily. We would still be customers if she did not speak to people in the way she represents the rent a center name. We were late, not the 1st time, but we have always paid entirety of the agreement plus late fees. After understanding that she was more interested in arguing, I told her I can either come in friday or she can come pick it up, she kept yelling and I repeated in a low tone, which would you prefer, for me to come in or to call and she said at this point we will pick it up. I said that's fine, call first, and ended the call.
It is unbelievable to me that an individual whom is paid to perform customer service is not required to perform. There is no need to speak to people in a rude manor. I will never be a customer there again and I will spread the word to any of my friends and family to stay clear.

Rent-A-Center queen size bedroom set

I have been calling about a bedroom set that has been promised to me for two months. On Saturday April 14th, I was told by Tiffany at the store on East Berry in FT Worth, TX that it was available and delivery by Monday 4/16/2018 and paid for the first week. It was not delivered and I did not receive a call stating it would not be delivered. The manager has no Idea what was going on he had no clue what I was talking about. I will be going to get my refund today and will NEVER do business with rent a center again. I will be sticking with Aarons!

Rent-A-Center furniture

I've been a customer off and on for at least 10 years. I recently moved to Cleveland from Washington Courthouse. I had rented several different items when I lived in Columbus. I have struggled financially at different times but have always caught my accounts up and eventually paid them off. I had decided a couple of months ago to buy a new set of furniture. I looked at the Store in Parma Ohio and they had what I wanted so I rented it. My fiance' had gotten injured at work and lost his job. He recently found another one and will be paid in 5 days. I explained this to the store manager and he said they couldn't wait that long. He said I would need to pay at least $55.00 on the account to keep the items (chair, sofa, and loveseat). I told him I would get back with him. Unfortunately, it was too late before I could get back with him on Friday evening. It was Saturday morning and he calls my house at 8:13 am in the morning? Don't ever call my house that early or anyone for that matter. That is really rude.
Furthermore, I am returning the furniture and will take my business to Aarons or Rent To Own. I will not be returning for any other items again. I will also let others know how this story has ended after being a customer for 10 years or more. Must be it is a different store. The best store I dealt with was the one located at 4178 W. Broad Street Columbus, Ohio 43228. I always was able to get my account to date. Thanks, Kathy McIntire

Rent-A-Center upgrading my smartphone

I go to the Rent A Center store in Mason, Wv & recently got a Samsung Galaxy S8 I have paid half of it off already, I would rather have Note 8. On your website it says I can upgrade at any time, to something newer or what not. So I went and got a used note 8, (when I asked for a new one) from them telling me that they can't let me upgrade because they would be losing out on money. So they said I either had to keep both and pay for both or I had to turn in the S8, they said they cannot adjust my payments accordingly to let me upgrade. I have gotten in paid off several things from that rent a center. But with the way I am being treated now I think I will just give both phones back and go elsewhere.

Rent-A-Center refrigerator

I purchased a used refrigerator on 3/15/2018. Upon purchase the workers advised me that they would clean the item our and fix the handle before delivery, however when the item arrived on 3/16/2018 it was still dirty and the handle has not been replaced. When I called the company the worker had an attitude and hung up the phone while I was complaining about the item. I am a returning customer with Rent A Center from January were I purchased and paid my living room set off. I was not and still not happy with this issue. The gentleman that delivered the item broke a piece of the line that hooks to my water off taking the door off. I had to pay for someone to fix it because water was linking in my floor. I do expect something to be done about this terrible issue that I have dealt with.

Rent-A-Center delivery/contact

I was told by landlord I needed a gas dryer and a electric washer. So I figured I would go to Rent a Center and do the 6 months same as cash. Great deal. I was able to get my washer a week later, apparently they were really busy and couldn't get it to me sooner. The Gas dryer was another week later before it could be delivered. So now I'm two weeks without clean laundry and having to go to the laundrymat. Well, on the delivery day I find out I need a electric dryer and the delivery guys said they can't hook up the gas dryer and I need to call a plumber to do it, so they leave. I get home and call the store manager and asked if I could return it? Daisy says no worries we will get you the right dryer. It will be about 6:10 when I'll call you back, this was at 5:20. So 7pm rolls around and no word. 7:30 I call and speak with Tracy whom said Daisy has your number and we will call when we figure it out. Friday-no call. Saturday-no call. Sunday they are closed. Monday-I call! Well I speak to Dave whom is able to get me a delivery today 4-6! Wow that was great and now I can do my laundry. Two hours later I get a call saying they have a big delivery and can I reschedule for tomorrow 4-6? I said fine because at this point I'm three weeks into waiting and anything would have been good. I've now paid a month upfront without having it and spending 20 dollars a week on top of it so I have clean clothes and in the mean time have been treating with no care, respect or concern. Never again will I shop here or recommend this place to anyone!

Rent-A-Center the customer service

We stopped our account with Aron's to try rent a center, there payments were better. The manager totally took advantage of my wife, selling her a brand new mildly used, but not a used price dryer didn't last two weeks. When I reported it they set up appointment to pick it up for service took of work to meet them didn't make there appointment then didn't call me ruened our close because they lied to us when we called said they would be there in minute, so we washed cloths they were bringing loaner, two days later came to pick up dryer, didn't bring my loaner, clothes got moldy. I let that go wouldn't even go back and get my dryer, I live less than five miles from them, totally treated me like I'm nobody. But kept changing me for new dryer and the loaner. Guy kept making my wife feel uncomfortable calling her honey after asked not to. Then got more furniture fro them paid for it on Sunday got stood up again on delivery three days they got made didn't bring me my stuff till Thursday and still changed me for week rent and we didn't have it. The following week I asked for extension for week payment totally rude hateful and took them less than 20 minuets to come get my stuff out of my house after the representative threatened me. Now how is that right.

Rent-A-Center customer service

I came into the store to make a payment on February 23rd. Miguel was very courteous as always. But the new manager gave me a dirty look and walked away as soon as I approached the front desk. As I was leaving she called me "n[censor]r". My next due date is approaching soon and I do not feel like going into such a hostile and racist environment. Her grooming is non existent and personal hygiene is a problem. Please find a new store manager as your customer base is mostly African American and I would hate to see such a great store lose all its valuable customers over a new unprofessional manager.

Rent-A-Center rudeness

I have been denied payment in the pass and them saying I am a month behind when they told me I was good from Feb 14 and today in March 3.. If u look at that that's not a month and also the employees should next call your customers HONEY unless u want a law suit then u should have a talk with your store in Auburn NY on Grant Ave. And also they should not be allowed to sit in their vehicles in front of your house stalking you either. They also shouldn't ask about personal info about if they are getting their taxed back or not.

Appreciated reading your concerns.

You are right that employees should always be courteous to each and every customer. Please remember that o.j. many areas the term hon or hunny is just as common as saying sir or mister.

It is important to get caught up with any rental payments, including late fees or management will take any legal means necessary to collect the product or payment.

Rent-A-Center dining room table and chairs

I have been a customer of RAC for a year and my mate has dealt with them for a few years. We went into the store in October of 2017, looking for a dinette set and asked, when are they going to have, another manager special. We was told by a few salesmen, that they are having a 50% off sale on all, used items with a pumpkin sticker on it. I noticed the dinette set, I looked at before, when another manager was in charge, was still there but at a higher price. It had a pumpkin sticker on it, so we took the price tag to the salesmen and asked how much would it be. The original price was a little over $700, we was told that the price would be about $ 389, that was with tax included and we had 90 days, interest free to pay it off. With the sale, starting in two days, they told us, we could put a deposit down, so they can hold the table and we can come back the day of the sale and do the paperwork. We did that, it took them 3 to 4 days to deliver the dinette set and when they delivered it, they alter the price and they had a new contract that was based on the full price of the table set and we asked what was going on, it was supposed to be half off, we was told that the 50% off sale, only applied to the payment. I told my mate to send it back because that's not what they said in the beginning. She told them that it was BS and she's only going to keep it, because we had thrown out the previous one already. Since making payments in October, up until current(Feb)2018, we haven't seen the balance go down, as of February 2018, we asked how much the payoff is, it's still over $ 500 dollars and there's no way on god's green earth, that we still owe that much. We also was told that we're paying for interest, how when we had 90 days interest free. We also found out that when we was putting a large amount towards the table set, they had taken the money and put it in a reserve account, which they started taking out the weekly payment, instead of putting it on the table, so we ended up not reaching the payoff before the 90 days. We feel that it was done like that, so we could pay more. I feel that, the original agreement should stand because that's what binded our contract. I'm in the process of returning the table set, and going to Badcock because I saw the same table set and it's cheaper.

Rent-A-Center service customer service

Manager was yelling and complained about my 7 day late payment even though i paid all late fees included she then threaten to terminate my contract if I made another late payment. I tried to explain but she continued to yell and would let me talk she took my payment over the phone and when she was done she slammed the phone and didn't even provide me with my balance. This is extremely unprofessional it it gives the company a bad image and lets people to believe that all stores will treat youd in such a matter it is rude and uncalled for.
