Reddit review: Verbal abuse to transwomen, called slurs

AS a transwoman and r*pe survivor in two states of Virginia and the Carolinas, I wanted to seek advice about teletheraoy services, and sought advice in a mental health subreddit where I was not only shamed for my dysphoria, but gaslighted about my assaults, which is the worst thing you could do to a human being. Reddit is not a safe space. It's toxic and allows users to abuse people who are seriously hurting.

Its like people dont even read what you post, they just assume things and give negative knee jerk responses just to be an a55h*e.

One of the responses was especially nasty and uncalled for. Very angry person clearly bitter about women. He basically tried convincing me my assaukr was my fault for deception, and my boyfriend at the time never loved or was attracted to me because I was an ugly man with a d&k that I'm a horrible person. Very nasty stuff. Someone in a bad place could be driven to self-harm. One look at his post history told me everything I needed to know. An alt-right loon with comment after comment [censored]ing on transwomen. It felt like a campaign to try and break me emotionally, very sadistic. I was already feeling broken and was traumatized. these cruel people made me feel so much worse.

OH and to top it off, I am the one now banned from the subreddit... the rules here really do seem to favor some over others for reasons unknown. Sick trolls can continue to abuse marginalized groups, while the recipient of the abuse is the one made to feel like they're in the wrong.

Very sick people frequent this site and abuse is allowed or encouraged. This was not my first time experiencing unwarranted abuse on thissite... but it WILL be the last cause I'm done. Be careful if you share anything sensitive. People are MEAN on here and will say anything to upset an already hurting person.
