Real Canadian Superstore Gift cards

SuperStore sold me two $50 Gift Cards. When my sister to whom I'd sent them at Christmas tried to use them a Superstore grunt DAMAGED them and then claimed they were «empty». So The heirs of billionaire Galen Weston just made another $100 the apparently desperately needed by STEALING it from me. Way to go pirates!
Their so-called «Customer Service» phone line announces: ««closed, call back during «normal business hours» »» but doesn't even have the sense to state the time zone.
[censored]ty, criminal treatment from one of Canada's richest families.

Desired outcome: I want my $100 back.

Real Canadian Superstore Water refill station

Since COVID started the water refill station at the Nanaimo store has been "Out of Service".
Well all the other grocery stores have theirs up and running...
I do the majority of my shopping at RCS (which is a 5 minute drive for me) and now I have to drive and extra 20 to 30 minutes to another store to fill my water jugs.
I'd like to know RCS does not have the water refill station up and running.
We get told to shop "local"! Can't any more local than 5 minutes.

Real Canadian Superstore Fruit

My husband and I both love coconuts. on Thanksgiving night we bough a coconut from superstore, it smelled awful and when we peeled it, it was completely corrupted.We were really frustrated by that. Unfortunately today my husband bought another coconut and it was corrupted again. It seems that we pay just for nothing. I hope there will be a good answer for this problem.

Real Canadian Superstore Club pack chicken hot dogs

This is the second consecutive week (Oct 22-28) that this item appears in the Canada West flyer at a price of $5.98. There are none available, neither on the first day of the special, nor through the rest of the week. Several times now I have come specifically for this item (I train dogs and these make cheap rewards) and end up without them, but I collect other products here and there to and from my search for weiners. Today, I paid $110, but no weiners.

Real Canadian Superstore Night shift management discrimination

My manager (Dave-night manager) won't give me full time. He fired a bunch of good workers and is now hiring from a job fair new full-time and part timers. I've been fighting since before I started working there 7 months ago for full time, but I get brushed off as if I'm the lazy worker there. I use all the forklift trucks I do receiving I work frozen and dairy as well as cover grocery aisle when people call in sick or, like one of the full timers, is on leave for injury for over 3 months now. Why do the good employees get fired and the actual lazy slow workers get all the security of a full-time position I'm flabbergasted at the structure my manager is aiming to achieve It's very strange and the night crew is suffering more and more with 10x the labor and half of the crew? I just want full time and my benefits to justify my extremely hard work and talents in the business. PS. my supervisors (Gamby age 26) and (Ethan age 22) can both vouch for how much extra work I'm doing and they are also fighting to get me into full time through Dave to no avail. I and other employees feel as if Dave is discriminating against younger employees, but the fact is I'm older than both my supervisors, so it makes no sense with all my experience and the good work I've done so far for Dave not to consider me in a full-time position. My name is Alejandro Arancibia, I'm 27 years old and I would really like a full-time position at the store I'm working at.

Real Canadian Superstore Getting free items for limit spent

I am a regular shopper at superstore, but with covid going on I have been shopping online with a company called instacart, I get over 300.00 dollars in groceries at least once a week, and I have only received my free item 5 times from the same shopper today being october 5th I spent over 500.00 dollars at 5251 country hilld blvd n.W. Calgary alberta, she got my free item for me which I asked for, then she informed me that it was taken away from her because she shops for instacart, which is not right! I am not happy, I dont blame my shopper because ive had no issues with her, its superstore changing policies saying because im being safe and ordering from a company that does my shopping for me and delivers to me I dont get my item, yet pc express is the same thing (online shopping) but they get the free item because they come to store and sit in their cars not being safe. You see what I mean. I want this changed to be fair, im spending my money at the store just getting someone else to shop for me, fix it fairly

Real Canadian Superstore Organic Meadows whipping cream.

I have got sour Organic Meadows whipping creme twice in a row now. Now I suppose I am expected to go back a third time, and spend more money on transportation not to mention the food lost when the sour cream ruined it. One time maybe it's random or a problem with Organic Meadows, twice over a week period with two separate batches and it's your faulty refrigeration that must be the issue.

Real Canadian Superstore Covid store policy - Westwood store, Coquitlam BC

Please be aware that while shopping at the Coquitlam Westwood store Friday morning September 10, there were shoppers that were not wearing masks, which policy has been ordered by the government of BC and is mandatory for inside shoppers. I went to the customer service desk twice; once at @9:45 am and once shortly after 10 am. I advised the male service assistant working there that there were shoppers in the store not wearing the mandatory masks. He said that the store/company was not legally permitted to approach shoppers that were not wearing a mask. He indicated that he spoke with a security staff member who said also that they were not legally allowed to speak with the customers, notwithstanding there is a mandatory mask sign at the store entrance clearly indicating a mask requirement.

The first thing I wish to mention is this is simply not true. Many other businesses in BC such as Air Canada, BC Liquor stores, T&T supermarkets, Uber, and many more say "no mask, no service". They operate under the same law which applies to Loblaws. Loblaws appears to be scared to approach these customers for fear they won't shop there any more or don't want any confrontation?, etc. Simply they are not placing a priority on the welfare of their employees or the majority of their customers who follow the law. When I questioned them about non masked shoppers, they clearly lied by saying they were not permitted to speak with non masked individuals which is simply not true as evidenced by the law and all of the other companies in BC who are dealing with the same problem.

I emailed them at [protected]@loblaws. ca on September 13th and having heard nothing back from them, called them on September 17th and spoke with Jessica who confirmed they received my email and provided me with a case number #[protected] and said they were taking this seriously and would be back to me in 1-2 days. It is now Thursday September 23rd and I have still heard or received nothing from them. Confirms my assessment that they have no intention of responding or dealing with this issue. Horrific customer service!

Desired outcome: Request they make it a formal policy to speak with shoppers who do not wear masks.

the superstore in my neighbourhood does not enforce the mask mandate either...YAY
the manager said, if you come in between 7 and 8am or before closing where there's less ppl he does not mind...and Im all for that.

Yup! I experience the same here in Langford, BC. Just across the street, the Canadian Tire store sports a security guard at the entrance. Masks are mandatory. But NOT so at the Superstore! Ugh!

Real Canadian Superstore staff behavior very rude

Superstore at Don mills & Eglinton

2021/09/17 Rod Costa (on the recipe ) Person that deal with the complait at the time was South Asian Man.

I am a regular shopper at this location. This time while waitng there ws already two customer, one was babgging her things, the other was just finshed paying.
As I was waitng the cashier rudely told me to put my things on the runner.
I replay to her okay, and started to put my items down. I told the cashier I do have few items to price match. She than repeated back to me again in very short tone. I replied "Yes"
When I wanted to show the price matching item on my phone I put it slighly around the Shield with only my hand to show it because it was small print on the flyer.
She then again very rudely told me go back behind the shield.
By now I was angry at just how rude she was to me. I told her be nice, don't be so rude and speak nice. I told her how she didn't care to distance the customers before hand now she was so concerned that my hand was aroung the shield.
I told her that and its not right she talk to customer like that. She then told me take my stuff and go somewhere eles after I waited all this time.
I had this lady before and she is very short with me then as well. I felt she was so polite to the cocasian woman before me and myself being Asian felt she just didnt give me the same courtesy.
Living in Canada with all this different nationalities, I find it disheartening for one immigrant to another she talks to her customer like this and thinks its okay.
I also find that when she went and got her manager and I expalined what had occurred, He never apologized for her rudeness nor gave any kind of resolution for this incident.

I feel completely insulted twice.

I will never go to this store again.
Your company just don't have any value system for your customer, its like we have to thank you to spend our money in your store.

PS: The cashier was I believe form Middle East ( Afghanistan ) possibly .
She wore glasses and bleached blone hair with roots showing.

I am Korean, if you ever visit Korean grocery store you will see how they speak and treat customer, this is somehting you can teach your staff.
What happen to customer is everything.

Totally disappointed.

Real Canadian Superstore Store manager and staff discrimination

I just moved back to Canada from abroad after 2 years outside the country. I went to superstore close to my house as per usual routine for weekend grocery shopping.. I wait at the check out lane and Start putting my stuff on the belt. The cashier yells with very bad attitude to stop stop raising her hand with a stop sign. I didn't understand what was going on.. I asked here why, she replied only one customer at a time on the belt.. so I said OK I would appreciate if you tell me that nicely. She replied I was nice and tell me to go to another lane go check our my stuff I refuse to wait on you. I told her I already waited here and put my stuff on the belt I'm not going to another lane. U asked for the manager and I explained to him the situation. he replies this has been our regulation for 1 year 1 customer on the belt at time. and I told him I didn't know that I just moved back to the country. He replied clearly we are not satisfying you and we have the right to refuse to serve you it is the Canadian law. Being a visible minority I couldn't help but feel discrimination in his tone and behavior.
The store manager name is Jack Dzerounian and this happened in superstore Sarnia.

The manager and as. manager of this branch are very, very toxic persons, they always have very rude, toxic and agresive atitude not only to costumers but to their co-workers as well.
My wife used to work at this store as a grocery clerc ( night shift) untyl last week, she got sick due to very hard work and as result they fired her.
They are very arrogant it's why 90% of people who used to work there, leave that place in less then 2 month time without notice.
Shame on you kassy ([censored].manager) & jack( gen.manager) canadian superstore, Sarnia.

Real Canadian Superstore Visa pre-paid gift card processed with a wrong transaction

Hello,

My name is S. I got a VISA gift card from my work place (medical clinic) on July 29, 2021. It was around $250 and purchased at Superstore Kingsway 11541 Kingsway NW, Edmonton, AB T5G 3E8. It was paid by cash. The nurse who bought this unfortunately did not keep the receipt as we always buy a pre-paid gift card and give to employees without any issues. I tried to use it today but it got declined. I called pre-paid VISA and I was told that cash holder service did not run this card. Purchase had made around July 27-28. It is not small amount money but very sad that it happened. Does it mean superstore just take money by making a mistake? I just file the complaint as I am very frustrated as it never happened before and at any other places. I would appreciate if someone can get back to me. Thanks.

Desired outcome: Any CCTV or way to check who did this transaction? I want to use this gift card.. Please and Thank you!

Real Canadian Superstore Produce

I am absolutely mortified and completely disappointed and outraged with my superstore experience. I spend nearly $500 on groceries and produce just to have everything go rotten the next day. You guys charge people a ridiculous about of money for produce that you know will spoil the next day. Now I am out of food and out of money, this is not fair at all and there needs to be a resolution.

Real Canadian Superstore Customer Service Real Canadian Superstore Sarnia

I am NOT impressed with your Real Canadian Superstore located on London Road in Sarnia On.
I have never seen such a SAD performance of customer service in a retail store in many years. Your staff all seem to be unhappy, wishing they were somewhere else other than there. When you ask questions and get a reply from your employee to the effect that your company store in nothing more than a "revolving door", that is VERY SAD!
Prices not on shelf labels, employees more interested in shopping for your online customers and unwilling to answer questions or tell you where something is located! If you do not want customers to shop in your store, please just put a sign at your entrances telling them to shop elsewhere!
What the hell happened to Loblaws? Did profits and ignorance take over courtesy and customer service?
The self checkout at this store reminds me of being in grade school having to raise my hand to ask for things.
The lady wandering around with plastic bags in her hand, none available at the self checkout? Is Loblaws going to go bankrupt by leaving them there for customers? Other grocery stores do not seem to have a problem with leaving bags at the self checkout. Is Loblaws special?
Perhaps you take time from your "ivory tower' to address this complaint.

Real Canadian Superstore Not mandating mask policy

I was shopping today and counted 8 adults not wearing any mask protection, not following distancing at all. One purposely stood directly beside me. When I went to check out someone pointed out to the cashier that their covid policy is very weak and she replied yes we gave up even trying to enforce it. This store is starting to be known as a covid spreader. I have changed my weekly shopping to tilbury just for this reason

Real Canadian Superstore Staff

On Aug 7 @ 7:45 pm I went to pick up my 3 items from the flashfood and was greeted by a young petite female who could not find one of my items and quietly told me they did not have it and I could request a refund. (Which I have never done)..so I asked her how I make that happen and she said go to the help menu on the app ..so I went there and she disappeared into a back room so when I needed some help I asked a young gentleman standing at the counter...he went to the back to call her back...again she answered my basic question and disappeared...I needed more help so I went over to another young female staff at the counter who was writing something and she also gave very little information..would not make eye contact...never put her pen down to engage...seemed totally un-interested in my problem but I persisted in completing the submission of my refund request...I may have gone through the process more than once because I have never done it before and it was so irritating that the staff showed NO interest in helping. I have never had any daytime staff disregard me in that way. I have grandchildren their age and don't like to stereo type but their service was grossly unfriendly and unhelpful.

Real Canadian Superstore Lotto

The lady at the lotto counter was very unprofessional. She said she checked my tickets but I told her I knew one of them was 51 dollar winner . She was very rude and I said to her you need to change your attitude and she told me to shut up and don't come back. I did report it to the manager who said he would report her. I know many people who complain about her and some won't even buy their tickets from her.
I got home and checked my ticket and it said 51 dollar winner.

It does not really matter if you had a winning ticket or not. Since you are under 18 you would not be able to claim the prize anyway. I can tell you are under 18 when you mistook no as rude.

Real Canadian Superstore substandard meat quality

On July 29/2021 my wife purchased 3, nice looking, AAA striploin steaks at store #01573 in Edmonton, Alberta.
Without a doubt this was the toughest striploin I've ever eaten. There is no way this was "AAA". Shoe leather is more tender.
I've consumed Superstore beef on numerous occasions before, always with disappointment. As a result I vowed never to buy Superstore beef again. Unfortunately my wife forgot herself and bought the steaks.
Either Superstore beef buyers / cutters don't know what they're doing or they are doing it dishonestly. Maybe both.
I have never had a similar issue, not even close, with any of the other retailers (Costco, Save on Foods, Sobeys / Safeway).
Superstore does not belong in the beef business.

Real Canadian Superstore parking

I am writing as I have a issue with the moving of the handicap parking from beside the store at the kamloops store. The parking is now in the general parking area, the handicaped now need to traverse the driveway in front of the store to shop. Also many handicaped people have to use larger vehicles and the parking lanes are too narrow to safely navigate. There is room on the other side of the entrance for grocery pick up. If this continues I will no longer shop at your store and will be returning you credit card.

Real Canadian Superstore Service

Last time I use self check out you have removed the bags because a few people did not pay the 5 cents So now you have to wait well the one person deals with the 8 other people to get a bag your a joke The family do not make enough you need the 5 cents. Maybe hire second person at self check out your saving / making money with less staff spend some of the money or learn from other better stores

I called to pick up my order at 2:05pm at 2:30pm my order was STILL not out to me. I watched 3 other orders come out. I called back AGAIN to ask where my order was. They said oh ya we'll be out soon. Finally after sitting for nearly an hour, my order was brought out. Was told they were too busy today.
