First I need to preface this statement with my background of over 40 years of experience in diverse healthcare environments. I was seen at Urgent Care on Friday July 31, 2026. The practitioner sent my prescription to Randall's pharmacy electronically. I didn't expect my prescription to be filled that same day, so I waited until the next day (Saturday). On Saturday, I was concerned about not receiving a call from Randall's Pharmacy about my prescription status, so I called at 12:17 pm to speak with the pharmacy associate. When I inquired about my prescription, she informed be they didn't the antibiotic and steroid that was ordered. She said they could order it and possibly receive it the upcoming week. This was upsetting news as I explained to her that the #1 cause of death for seniors is pneumonia and it was unacceptable that the pharmacy waited this long to inform me of the prescription issue. Randall’s pharmacy has my background information so they should have known my age group and that the medications prescribed were critical for addressing and improving my health problem. Randall’s Pharmacy should have been more proactive in seeking a suitable replacement or checking with another Randall’s Pharmacy to have the medication delivered to the store as part of Customer Service
