Quicken Loans home refinance

What they'll do quickly is drive down your fica score by putting three hard inquiries onto it, for no reason. All I wanted to do was check into the possibility of getting a refi under the federal harp program. My credit score is below 700 for the first time I can remember.

Plus, they tell me that my mortgage does not qualify under harp. Thanks, quicken loans!

Avoid these [censor] and go with a local lender you can sit down and talk to.

Quicken Loans they took my money even though I told them not to proceed

I was contacted by a loan agent. After talking and giving them info I was approved. I gave a credit card under the understanding that the 500 deposit would not be pulled til the next day. The next morning I left messages with my contact and online that I did not want to proceed. The money was pulled anyway. I asked for it back and explained that it all was going to fast and I needed time to process the offer. I was then called several times by my contacts boss who was very pushy. I want my money back. Nothing was done. It was stolen from me. You should be ashamed for stealing from hard working people like me. You were nice until I said no. Then you became pushy and wouldn't listen. Give me my money back. Now.

Quicken Loans home loan closing

I don't understand why you would wait till 12/22 on a friday before a holiday to ask for a bank statement when you could have asked for this weeks ago.. This is a small request that your using as an excuse to why we can't close before the beginning of a new year. We've had nothing but time to get the little things out of the way and handled while we were waiting for her stuff to clear and now we have to wait because you didn't stay on top of my loan info and asked for basic paperwork... Now I can't close till the new year.. That's pretty lame on yours and quickens part. So your saying everything is cleared but we can't close now... Your company is very generic and has been nothing but a headache I will be sure to file complaints and make social media comments on your behalf as well as your company for being lazy and the fact you've made a 700 change in closing costs and monthly payments are bs. I'm considering pulling back from your whole account. I have every right and y'all have dropped the ball several times. You say you can't close till my info has been cleared but we still have 3 days till the end of the week and you can't close for me.

Quicken Loans refiance

12/20/17 loan # [protected]

I called them to do a refinance on my home. We started going through the process. Paid the $500 for the appraisal. Let me start off by saying that the communication between the departments is nil. Todd was very good but they all need to communicate much better. We started with the number guy and then we were also told we would be also dealing with a women for processing. Neither knows what the other is doing.

So the appraiser calls us to setup the appraisal. The appraiser starts off by talking about that our property might be contaminated by junk cars, oil, ect. and he was going to have to do a thorough inspection. We just had the property appraised a year ago. So very unprofessional and disturbing. This guy was a weirdo and we immediately felt he was trying to get us ready for the fact that he was going to devalue our property. The thing that really bothered us is the fact that this guy kept going on about EPA and contamination ect. We run a recycling yard so that really bothered us as we felt this man was up to no good. This was a definite conflict of interest. So I contacted Quicken to tell them that we wanted another appraiser. Todd from Quicken said he would put in a request for a change of appraisers. This turned into a nightmare as no one at Quicken knew what to do and said that they had never dealt with this situation before. We were then turned over to his supervisor Peter, at this point we felt they did not care about our dilemma, which we found very sad as it is not fair that if a client feels uncomfortable about something there are no other alternatives. We were then told that the we were denied a change of appraisers. To top off how uncomfortable we felt about this the guy he proceeds to call me twice about our other home we own which has nothing to do with this refinance The appraiser proceeds to leave me messages stating he needs to appraise my other property and needs all my financial information as well regarding it! At this point we are completely weird-ed out and our hackles are through the roof. Now tell me this doesn't certainly seem like this guy has some sort of unprofessional interest in us. I proceeded to call Quicken and ask why this man is calling me about my other property. They proceed to tell me they have no idea! They didn't seem to care about our distress with this man. Then a day or so later Peter talks to my husband and tells my husband that the appraiser did need to look at our other property but he didn't know why. Nobody seems to know anything. We are still disturbed by this appraisers behavior. I really wonder if they even bothered to request a different appraiser. They lost a pretty significant loan.

Quicken Loans unwanted phone calls

I told Dan Holcomb that we had secured a loan with another company. This was done via email... so there was zero chance of misunderstanding. My husband received a text last night (at 8pm) reminding him/confirming the phone call he would receive the next morning. But my husband didn't receive the call... I did on my cell phone. And it wasn't even Dan Holcomb that called. It was some guy named "Kendale" that said Dan Holcomb was out of the office and had asked him to call me. I told him that Dan Holcomb knew better then to call me so he put him up to it. I've received two additional phone calls since then but I have not answered them. I am at work.

I am attaching the email with Dan Holcomb and his supervisor. It clearly shows that I asked him not to call me.

Quicken Loans auto call / customer service

I recently was looking in lending tree to refinance my home. After I filled out all information my options arrived. Quicken Loans was one of them. The phone calls started. I have recieved a phone call every day since, every hour on the hour. 15 calls a day!
When i finally answered and told the lady I no longer needed the service please stop calling. She tells me maybe I should change my number. This company really needs to look at how they handle their phone calls and train their employees better. I will never do buisness with them and will advise as many people as possible to stay a way. What an unbelievable thing to tell a potential client.

Quicken Loans unauthorized hard inquiry

I noticed a hard inquiry on my credit report that was done by credco/quicken dated 10/09/17. Although I have been poking around looking at mortgage calculators and different options for loans, I have given no one permission to do a hard inquiry on my credit, as I am not ready to apply for a mortgage. I haven't even spoken to a human being with a loan company, and I have not filled out any applications for a mortgage, especially if my social security number was requested. I have been working very hard to get my credit score up and now it has dropped. I would like this inquiry removed from my report, as it was unauthorized.

Quicken Loans refinance

After applying for a refinance loan, was provided an estimate for an FHA Loan instead of conventional loan as requested. The benefit of an FHA Loan is it will lend 85% of the home value instead of 80%, which on my loan amount was about 15k. However, because you are going over 80% it requires Mortgage Insurance. The cost of Mortgage Insurance on my estimate was $4, 165.00 upfront and $150.00 a month on my payment (Approx $6000.00 paid after 12 months). Also included in my closing costs was an $2380.00 origination fee brining my total closing costs to almost 10k however they did provide a $3000.00 Lender Credit. The issue is however most of the other lenders I have contacted are between $1500.00 to $2000.00 in closing costs. I felt these costs were way too high. So after review the estimate and again requesting a estimate on a conventional loan to compare, Matt continued to try and sell me on the FHA instead of providing me with what I requested. He continued to argue with me, the customer, until finally he told me that if I wanted to go with the Conventional Loan he did not think he could help me. That was a first for me.

Quicken Loans refinance

Quicken loans Called Me, and offered me a refinance. I went through the application process and was told everything looked good. My current mortgage holder is Quicken loans. So when they told me everything looked good I believed them. They ordered up an appraisal. My husband and I hurried and finished the ceiling in our basement as we were in the middle of putting in a drop ceiling and they told us not to have anything half done. money spent... appraiser came and appraised our house for 60, 000 dollars more than what we had paid for it last year as we had done a considerable amount on the house after purchase. It was the same guy that did our appraisal when we purchased last year. The appraiser was one of quickens that they often use. We were happy with the appraiasal. Next step water and well inspection... more money but we were assured everything was good. Had to provide income even though it had not changed as I was retired from the government when I bought the house. Still had the same exact income. The Government faxed them my retirement allotment. Papers from the government was not good enough so time out to gather info from the bank and fax in... My time. But still everything was exactly the same as when I purchased my home last year. Except my house was worth more. Then I get the phone call from Chris Covin specialist at Quicken, They could not refinance my house because the distance between the septic and well were not 100 feet apart. I was trying for an FHA loan. So I asked him what kind of loan I had through them right now... His answer FHA... HMMMM how could I get a FHA loan through Quicken loans 1 year ago FHA but this year my house did not qualify... I even used the same guy for the water test. So nothing was different except that my house had gone up in value 60, 000 dollars. So Chris said they did not request a water test when I bought the house. So I pulled out my paperwork, and Yes the water test was submitted March 23rd and I closed on my house May 14th almost 2 months later. Chris said it must have been overlooked. I called my water guy who did both tests. He sent in paperwork and double checked with Oakland County They said the Rule was 100 feet or what your county allows whichever was the least of the two. Chris said No that was not the case. I emailed him a page from the water guy that came directly out of the handbook code for oakland county. My water guy called back to oakland county and talked with a supervisor. She told him the same thing. 100 feet or whatever your county required, and that oakland county required 50 feet. My measurement was 65. 65-50 in my math leaves a surplus of 15 feet. I was turned down for my refi for this reason. Makes no sense to me. I already had an FHA loan. Still makes no sense to me... They offered me a repayment for the water tests... Well Yeah... what kind of compensation was that? This started in August. Today is October 9th. for 2 months, and the months the prior year when I was financed, Nobody had a problem with the water and septic inspection. I was already financed FHA with everything being the same. I still don't get it? Doris Quigley Crans

Quicken Loans unethical behavior

I have complied with all of the requirements to complete the application for a home refinance pre-approval. I provided details of my current situation including the co-signing for my daughter’s car when I initially spoke with Mr. Kyle Shepler ( NMLS # 1566416) and submitted all documents as requested. I asked him what I would qualify for based on still keeping the car loan that I have co-signed for my daughter. He provided the loan amount with the estimate of the monthly obligation. Even though I sent all the information he requested, he continuously refuses to review the application unless the car was payed off. He repeatedly told me the same thing even after I requested the underwriter to review again and offer additional options. He keeps asking me to pay off the vehicle that I co-signed for my daughter. I co-signed for her to help her to build credit. I then asked him how much did we need to pay to qualify for the mortgage without paying off the car because we would rather pay $20, 000 towards our home that is appreciating versus a car loan that does not have an appreciation value. Once again, he said that he would go back to the underwriters to see what the loan amount I qualify for. When he came back again, he said that he still wants the car paid off. This does not demonstrate anyone that is willing to work with us but is biased towards us in obtaining a loan with Quicken Loans. This is an unfair request and the motives seem to be suspicious ethically. He keeps making excuses every time I complied with what he was asking, leading me to believe that he does not have me as the consumer in the best interest of Quicken Loans. I have included the agents name with the anticipation of resolving this complaint expeditiously without the need to take it further in the Corporate or National litigation process.

Quicken Loans new home purchase

On or about December of 2015/16 I attempted to purchase the home I had been living in for 5 years. After three months and 4 credit pulls underwriting for unknown reasons turned down my loan. One year later I attempted to buy a house, I called Quicken since they already had a lot of my information and was turned down on the simplest of things the pre qualification. Finding this idiotic, knowing my ratio was in the mid 30 range I contacted Alpha Mortgage days later. In 28 days I purchased my home. Closing literally 28 days after receiving the purchase agreement. Either your loan originators are incompetent or you only want 800 score paper is either way I will spend my days speaking of how poorly I was left feeling after not one but two failures on your companies part.

Quicken Loans to mr. dan gilbert!

Dear Dan;

Greetings! I hope this finds you well! Hopefully you remember me… I emailed you from Afghanistan and we met upon my return from deployment concerning possible employment opportunities with your Rock financial family of companies. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out, though I was impressed with all of your respective leadership. They were very down to earth, good, and affable people, which made my trip to Detroit very enlightening. Just so you know, when I said I was wholly intent on helping people, I really meant it. Following our meeting, I immediately enrolled in Harding University and received a dual Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (licensed counselor) and Professional School Counseling. I am currently working with children.

The reason I am writing was a very unfortunate event that happened with Quicken Loans. I was so impressed with you and your people that my wife and I swore that if we bought another house we would use Quicken, if for no other reason than the good you are doing in Detroit (doing good by doing well!). I had been talking to one of your loan processors about getting a mortgage since my family and I are relocating. I can’t say for sure what happened, but I thought your representative said one thing (3.75 and paying me 3/8 of a point, or 3.625 and paying an eighth to me), however when I received the documents, it related that I was paying the 1/8th. Now, in all fairness, we were traveling the entire time, and trying to conduct business while driving through the mountainous regions of Pennsylvania, with spotty reception and while signing documents on a 3.5 inch mobile phone can be treacherous at best. When I got home, I was able to look over the documents to find what I thought was a discrepancy. When I spoke with your processor on the phone, he told me he never said that even though my wife and I both felt like that’s what we understood as we were speaking to him while traveling. Again, it totally could have been our misunderstanding. After discussing it with my wife, we begrudgingly decided to go with USAA. Even if it was my fault, I felt a certain ‘sting’ as I was sure about what he said. I wrote him an email and advised him that I would take total culpability for the miscommunication, but I will always have this nagging thing in the back of my mind that I was misled. I told him that the only REAL way this could be resolved would be to listen to the recordings of our conversations, however knowing the emphasis that YOU place on customer service, I really didn’t want to get him in trouble if he did mistakenly commit to something that he shouldn’t have, as I had other options for financing. I felt it better to end the relationship and withdraw my application. He called me about ten minutes after receiving my email and said that I can’t get the loan anyway since I wouldn’t be getting a pay stub for my next job before the loan closed. I had told him on numerous occasions that I was on contract, and that I wouldn’t get a pay stub from my new employer until well after the closing date. I did however send him copies of my job offers AND my signed contracts by both my wife and I from our new employer. Binding public service contracts that I am sure your people work with every day. Up until that phone call, it didn’t seem to be a problem. Either way, his reasoning aggravated me as I had already sent him the email, and then to receive the declination email that is attached was just salt in the wound. I have never been turned down for a loan, ever, and a review of my financials shows just how solid my credit history is (800+).

I felt compelled to send you this as customer feedback. I am sure your processor is a fine person and quality salesman, or I suspect he wouldn’t be working with you. I am also sending this to you also as someone who appreciated your personal time and communication. I don’t know of many billionaires who would have given a simple ‘Joe’ the opportunity to sit down and see your vision, and I thought I would return the favor by giving you some insight into my experience. Oh, and for the record, the headset this guy used was terrible, which may have added to the communication issue. Secondly, if you are really intent on making ‘Rocket Mortgage’ take off, make the app more user-friendly on mobile phones. It was a terrible experience on my iPhone.

Best of luck to you and congratulations on all your successes, personally, professionally, socially, and how ‘bout them Cavs?!?!?!?!

Quicken Loans mortgage loans

I feel that I was scammed by Quicken Loans. I tried to resolve it through Consumer Finance.gov and through my credit card company Capital One. I had no success. I want to warn others to be careful before handing over $500 to Quicken Loans. Think twice. Don't let them pressure you with promises that seem to good to be true. Quicken CANNOT wave a magic wand and get you Loans that all the other companies can't.

Quicken Loans was apparently able to provide documents to satisfy the Consumer Finance agency and my credit card company that they were in the right when they scammed me out of a $500 deposit. Unfortunately, most of the Quicken practices that seem to me, in hindsight, highly unethical and reeking of scam, took place over the phone. Quicken quite conveniently lost all of those calls (but states "we record all of our calls"). Don't get taken by this company like I was. $500 is a lot of money to lose for most people. If you are inexperienced like I was with the mortgage/home equity/refinance process, don't hand over $500 to some fast talking Quicken representative. Remember that if it sounds too good to be true...Talk to other mortgage lenders first- talk to a lot of them. Most will give you honest answers on what you qualify for, for free. If the others can't get you a mortgage/refinance/home equity loan, don't believe for a second that handing Quicken $500 will open doors. That's nonsense. You don't have to hand over $500 to apply for refinance etc. with most companies. Quicken will tell you that your $500 is an investment that will be returned to you. They vaguely allude to being able to do things other lenders can't. Baloney. Don't get sucked in. I came out of my experience with Quicken feeling like "a fool and his money are soon parted". Best I can hope to do is help someone else not to make the same mistake, and try to turn this horrible experience into something positive for others. It's the only way above this awful negative feeling after dealing with this company and it's lies

Quicken Loans home mortgage

First I was told I could close on our new house on the 15th of may. I was able to get the 20% down necessary to do so. The agent was well aware that I wasn't closing on the sale of my home until the 31st of may. Then, the closing date for a reason unknown to anyone got pushed back to the 26th, despite me providing all the necessary paperwork and information needed to close on the 15th. The people selling the house we are purchasing are not from the area, so obviously this was inconvenient for them as well as myself. So, the 26th was agreed upon finally by the realtor, the sellers and myself. I had to provide a pre-closing statement from the financing bank of the people who were purchasing my house as well as an ira statement showing the distribution for our 20% down payment on our house that we were purchasing. A day later and 3 days before the closing date of the 26th, our quickloans banker informed me that we could not close on the 26th because the payment from my old house would still showing a debt-to-income ratio that was too high. So, why did I bother getting the ira statement and the pre-closing statement from the financing bank? Again, the selling party was actually traveling the week of may 31st, as it is a holiday weekend prior. I am in jeopardy of losing this entire deal now because of the poor management of your organization and your agent. I am extremely dissatisfied with how this was handled. I now have 1 day to move everything from my house, whereas we had planned at least 5 days! I will strongly recommend to anyone I know not to seek financing from your organization and will plan on refinancing with a local bank as soon as I can. My advice to your organization is — get your reps some facts and data. Answers should be black and white when it comes to financing and not one day "yes" and another day "no." I have strained my relationship with my realtor as well as the sellers and that cannot be repaired.

Quicken Loans the way I was spoken to by your representative

I had a conversation with Mr. Dan Trotter yesterday, and to say the very least, I felt humiliated by his questioning, and by his tone. It's none of his business that I give a reason why I've waited so long to refinance, he did not provide me his NMLS number at the initiation of our conversation, listen to the tape, and after being in lending for 33 years, there is no way I would ever speak to a prospective customer in the manner in which I was spoken to. His tone was extremely condescending, and he's lucky I'm not taking this complaint further. I NEVER want to hear from Mr. Trotter or Quicken Loans or make certain I will escalate my complaint. To say that I was extremely upset after speaking with Mr. Trotter is a huge understatement. You would be better served to hire employees that don't talk down to prospects.

Quicken Loans applying for a loan

They demanded my Social and dinged my credit before asking me simple questions that showed that I was ineligible to fill out a loan application for another month. It was totally unnecessary for them to ask for my personal information or ding my credit.
All they needed to do was ask if I had taken out a loan in the last 6 months. I would have said yes and they would have said, "Don't give me any personal information until 6 months have passed."
The agent was Michael Kirkgaard Ex.59558

I responded by calling into your customer service center, in response to the solicitations sent to my home, on 12-14-16. a simple inquiry into what the current rates were to refinance my home resulted in 3 "hard-inquiries" on my credit report. this dropped my score 13 points from 682 to 669. that dropped me from the "great" category to the "good" category. i never started an application and told the rep that i was just interested in current rates. can someone contact me to discuss this matter at [protected].

Still at it. They just dropped my score 13 pts when they had credo do a hard inquiry on me. Quicken Loans solicited me and said they might be able to do better by me. I said why not. Very unethical practice.

Quicken Loans fha mortgage

I was contacted by Quicken Loans regarding a house I wanted to buy. The banker was really nice at first. He told me my closing costs would be 2, 800 and I thought that was great! I can do that without a problem. I found the house I wanted and made an offer. My realtor told me that my closing costs would be in the 5-6k area. I was floored. I told her what I was told by the banker at QL. She contacted them immediately. Keep in mind, she was referred to me by them. The banker called me that night, not so nice now, telling me that I was not to listen to the realtor. He kept telling me that my closing costs would only be 2, 800. Told me to listen to him and no one else. So, even though my gut was telling me differently, I still proceeded. As the process continued, the underwriter contacted me with my closing costs. I nearly stroked out when he said close to 5k. Now, granted there was a judgement of 1k in there that I knew about, but my closing costs should NEVER gone up by this much. I told the underwriter what I was told as my closing costs and they could not explain it either. I divorced two men for lying to me. Did QL not think I would walk away from a loan for it? Please... You lie like a rug, QL! I will tell everyone I know about your scummy bankers and shady deals. Now I find out I am eligble for the Saphire FHA loan. QL never said a thing about that. What rip offs! I will refer all my friends to my new mortgage broker before I will let anyone deal with these people at QL.
