Get y0ur refund in as "little" as 8 days! You stated 8 days if you filed form 1040EZ, 1040A, etc. Which form did you fill out and did you request direct deposit and received a confirmation of the direct deposit? This 8 days would only apply to 1040EZ and 1040A, not 1040 long form. So there is no etc. applicable. Also, TurboTax sends you an email that allows you to check on your refund status. Did you pay attention to that? I got my refund within reasonable time from the IRS website. The IRS website stated my refund was to be mailed last Friday and I received the following Monday.
It's a scam. They have hacked into private information or bought it somehow. Make sure you don't give them anything.

They are scammers from India who either hacked into a system or bought that type of information. They are liars. Even f you told them it was a scam, they would probably laugh because they know not much can be done with these jerks.

Next time you hear from them, let them know from them moment you identify yourself that you are recording the phone call, also let them know any other communications & all phone numbers from this point on will also be recorded because you feel threatened and that you feel you are being scammed and until they can provide you with legal documents proving who they are and what they are trying to collect you will not send them any money per the FBI . (this is what I was told to do by the FBI) This deters alot of these scammers from calling over and over. Get a cheap recording device and use it! Call your local police and file a police report as well as the 3 major credit bureaus and the social security department cause they have your numbers. The FBI website also has an email link on their site to identity theif crimes. You can email them as well. This is a classic scam where you have sent your information online to someone and these people have it.WHATEVER YOU DO, DONT SEND THEM A PENNY!

It's very misleading and they do use high pressure sales tactics. The only free site is annualcreditreport.com that you can obtain from each of the three redit reporting agencies once a year. However, you don't get your scores, just your credit report.
The only way to deal with these ###s is through lawyers. They are unethical, lying ###. You still should have stopped payment on that check you sent in December.
Send payments certified, return receipt. Costs about $5, but since these are scamming ###; it's well worth it.
To corerect one assumption you made, if you are self-employed, you make quarterly payments to the IRS. You should not set aside payments at the end of the year. If not paid quarterly, they can charge penalty and interest once your taxes are filed.
