I called the customer service representative for bestbuy inquiring about whether or not I make a purchase online I will get a price match in the store. The customer service representative stated that I would not get a price match for an online purchase in the store if at a later date that product price reduces. I later found out this is not the case after doing research on the company's website. This seems a simple enough concept that a customer service representative should have been able to help me.
My second issue was on the same night with a different customer service representative. I asked about my rewards certificate for my birthday month and why I had not received my certificate because I am a rewards member. The representative could not tell me when I would receive my birthday special offer and stated that it could be at the end of the month and also stated that the certificte is only good in the month of my birthday. My family wants to use my birthday certificate to purchase me something for my birthday on November 9, and now they may not be able to and bestbuy was no help. It is customer service help like this that will most likely cause me to take my business to WalMart, and this is unfortunate because my family was planning to buy an Xbox 360 game center along with the Rockband II game set along with several accessories, easily spending over $500.
We refinanced over a year ago and our mortgage was sold to option one. We fell behind dec of 07. As of Feb 08 we sent out our dec 07 payment and it was returned. The letter stated that they would not accept the dec payment. that we needed to now send in dec and jan payments or they would start the foreclosure process. In March, sure enough we received our foreclosure procedure. We were able to get it put on hold because we wanted to try a loan modification which we were denied for. SO I got on the phone with the HOPE line in Texas that contacted option one for us. Well here we are almost a year later, nov 08 we just received a loan modification from option one. States that in order to stop foreclosure we need to come up with oct and nov pmts by nov 14 which is $5000.00 then come up with our new loan mod amount by dec 1 of 2000.00 which is interest only for 5 years. Our adjustable rate has jumped to 8%. In talking to other mortgage companies along the way for some type of informational help, they were shocked to hear that Option one wouldn't even accept payments along the way. We kept asking option one if we could make payments because every month that passed it would increase $2500. Now our mortgage is behind $27, 500. Which obviously we can't afford that amount. Now with the loan modification they are offering, we will be paying for our house until we're 80+ years old.
Product was ordered on line and delivered within the stated time frame. I was dissatisfied with the product and returned the unused portion as required to cancel my membership. I contacted the company by phone to insure that I would not be charged the 90+ dollars for a two month supply. I was assured by two different supervisors that I was be excluded from any further deliveries or charges. I did not receive any additional shipments (I did not want additional shipments), but I was charge $90.93 cents. I contacted my bank, filed a claim but ended up still having the above amount subtracted from my checking account. I also filed a claim with the Better Business Bureau of Culver City. If this problem is not rectified, I will have to close my bank account------------this is extremely frustrating.
For the 3rd time this year Classmates.com has made a $15.00 charge to my credit card. I'm forced then to call the credit company and stay on the line for long periods, speaking to several people just to get them to mail me the forms to contest the charge. Then I have to take the time to fill out the form and pay the postage to send it back only to wait over a month to get the charge off my credit card. This SCAM organization possibly feels that most folks wont take that much time and effort over such a charge, BUT I WILL.
I am trying to raise money for a 4 Disc Cervical Replacement because Medicare and Medical Will NOT cover the procedure, the Doctor who was going to do the operation asked me to raise the money someway, some how or I am going to have nerve damage to my hands, arms and shoulders. As a florist of 35 years with a loving passion of doing weddings, I did not want to lose all that I have left! I was born with a lower back abnormality, I have had 2 surgeries for that, I cracked my C5 15 years ago and had a Spinal Fusion C5-C-6, all I can really do for income are my flowers! I am in such great pain and desperate to try anything lawful to gain my independence and here comes this company with it's big promises to help me out! I haven't even gotten a letter, email absolutely nothing except $1.98 & $69.95 taken out of my checking account! How can you take advantage of someone who is already in despair? These companies should NOT be Allowed to conduct business transactions like this online! Taking advantage of those in dire need is unjust, immoral and out right wrong!
Checked out free credit report online for $1.00 and learned too late it was junk. Couldn't cancel because of no where to go online or no one to talk with regarding cancellation. They charged my check card 2 times resulting in an overdraft on my account and costing me money I don't have. No wonder people have bad credit with companies like this! They Need To Pay!
I was a loyal customer of the company that was in charge before Comcast bought them out. The prices that Patriot Media charged were more then reasonable and I was more then happy with the service. I was paying a good price for the 4 star package. When Comcast took over it seemed to be going well at first. Then within a few months my cable bill was jacked up to over 300.00 dollars. Granted I was past due at the time, but I had just made a payment when I received this bill.
When i called then to complain about the amount of my bill, they told me that I had agreed to that increase after a few months on a promotion price that was only temporary. I had never agreed to anything, nor would i have agreed to that increase. Not only that but Comcast customer service is beyond awful. Most of the reps I have talked to there have been rude and not very helpful.
At the present time I am still with Comcast because I don't have a choice at the present time. I also thought I could get some sort of deal on internet service with them due to the fact that I was paying so much for cable service, but no when i called they wanted to charge me a fortune, so I went with someone else.
If you can go with someone else I would try and do so, before this company empties your pockets.
When we picked up our brindle and white Meaty from Melody, we paid $2600.00! It should have been $2400 since we picked him up. I told her that instead of refunding the $200, she could send the registration papers that would have been $200. She said that it could take up to a year since he was from Europe. (She didn't say what country.)
It's been 11 months now, and we have emailed LoBoPuppies 4 times. We have had no response. I tried calling, and they hung up. Meaty was extremely wild, violent, and acted as though he had never been around humans. All he wanted to do was bite us. We had a dog trainer work with him, and it did help. He is still very dominate and sometimes aggressive. I do think, now, that he was probably from a puppy mill, just because of his actions at such a young age. He didn't want affection, to be petted, just was happy in his crate. Now at 11 months, he is lovable. It's taken a lot of time and patience.
We are very angry that we paid for and don't have registration on him. But, at least so far he is healthy.
LoBoPuppies and EPuppy need to be checked by the Humane Society and whatever other agencies have the authority to shut them down. When I asked to go to their house to see the puppies, they said that we couldn't because of security reasons. We met at a park. I should have suspected something then.
I will report them to the Better Business Bureau.
My husband ordered movies from this company many years ago, and our daughter enjoyed them. That was over 10 years ago, and she has since moved out on her own. We don't have small children in our home anymore.
When the representative called, I explained this to him, and he assured me that the movies we would order would be movies that adults would enjoy, not just children's movies. I agreed to order some movies; I was not happy with the pressure that ensued to have me buy more and more movies as the call progressed.
When the movies arrived I was extremely disappointed to discover that of the 20 movies sent, only 2 would be not be considered movies for young children. I was upset because I made it quite clear to the caller that I didn't want this, and he sent them anyway.
I have just called today to cancel this order, and was told it would take about 6 weeks to process my refund. We'll see how that goes, but will notify the credit card company just in case there is a problem later on down the line.
If called again I will definitely ask to be taken off their call list, and will explain why in detail.
1st- Missing drugs-called to report, left message. NO response. Dropped off another RX, tried to pick up 3 days later. Waited @ drive thru for 15 min, w/1 vehicle ahead of me. Asked for RX, told it was not filled, 'too early' It was a new RX, no insurance involved.
Called mgr to complain about both issues. Very rude, hung up on me. When I called back she said she was 'busy with other people', and felt I was rude for telling hew drugs were missing! Made comments about 'drug abuse', admitted they did not call Dr to verify RX, or me.
I called District Office. Left message. 3 days later. Nothing.
Being new to the internet and a little naive I responded to an e-mail survey stating I had won a new laptop computer, I simply had to complete a short survey. About thirty minutes into a survey trying to entice me to try their products or give me a choice amongst them I decided to try Ivorywhite for free if I paid the shipping.
Anxious to finish the survey that drug on and on I finally decided it might go on for hours so chose to cancel or exit out. The next day I received e-mails from a number of sources which I did not respond to from the survey. Unfortunately shortly thereafter I also received a package from Ivorywhite which I opened not even recalling ordering it (which I did not)
On my next billing statement of my credit card (which I used to pay for the 'free offer' shipping) I was charged $3.44 plus $1.43 which was fine until I received a second bill for $78.41. I called them and was told to send the product back which I did but never received a credit on my card but 'did' receive another shipment and another charge to my card of $84.36.
I called once more and was told by 'Jerry' to send it back also with a 'number' designated on the outside of the box. I followed all instructions but never got my money back and was told I never wrote the number on the box (which I certainly did) 'Jerry' confirmed receiving the product back but said I would receive no credit. I asked them to return that unmarked box to me but of course they did not! A gullible senior answering e-mails. B.G. OP. Ks.
There have been many posts about the First Option credit card. This card is is underwritten by Millennium Bank. Their contact number is [protected]. You will be connected about three times before you speak to someone who handles First Option cards. If you are calling about a refund, as I was, they will ask you to write a letter of cancellation and fax it to them. I was told I would be contacted withing 48 hours with refund status. Hope this helps.
On Oct. 21, 2008, I ordered all 112 uncut episodes of 4 seasons of The Big Valley TV Show on 31 DVDs. My credit card was charged the next day for merchandise. To date, I have not received the DVDs and have received no communication from them. I cannot find a telephone number for them and it appears that I may have been scammed. Someone needs to do something about this company.
This company is crooked. Stay away from Central Coast Nutraceuticals.
Unreal! I phoned Best Buy located in Tauton, MA. I had one simple question of the person that answers the phone, can you please provide pricing of a 18 inch cf, Top-freezer refrigerator. The clerk ask me what's the item number. Again I explained I need your cost of your 18 cub foot refrigerator, freezer top. After explain this 2 different times, I gave up. In an angry reply I told the clerk 'I bet you are making the big bucks'.
I don't understand it. A Best Buy employee could not grasp that I was simply calling to get a price. If Circuit City goes out of business, don't be surprised when someone goes postal in BestBuy.
I had pay all my payments up to my 12 on my 13 payment i had a family emergency and ended not paying it i call and call wondering why i had not received my laptop. Customer services would just tell that it was in the shipping department and it would go out soon. Until i reached a senior customer service agent he told me that since I missed my 13 'consecutive' payment my laptop would not be send.
I would have to start all over again until I made 13 'consecutive' payments. Last week i made my 13 'consecutive' payment, i my made the order in march of 2008 and till this day i have not received my laptop or my money.
I only found out by checking my bank account online that this company had deducted money from my account without my authorization. I did order the trial and agreed to pay the shipping and handling only for under £3.00. To this date, nothing has arrived and I certainly did not agree for any further money to be taken from my account. I now have had to cancel my card with my bank to ensure they cannot take anymore from my account. I do not know if I will be reimbursed yet as I have to call the dispute dept. in the morning.
I am very upset and angry that this has happened as I am unable to call this company as there is not a number for UK customers. It is a complete rip off, and they should not be able to get away with this - I want my money back!
Never received the CD. Found nowhere at their website to enter my login name or password to even try out the service. Thought I'd just lost the $1.98 shipping for the CD. Not so; now have a charge for $69.95 for a service I would not have paid for and cannot use. Calling them was pointless; they're so sorry but 'those are the terms and conditions'.
They offered a replacement CD and 2 free months of access to their site. And that would be beneficial how? As the other poster stated, if it sounded too good to be true... I see that there are a great number of people who have been ripped off by this group.
So I took the advice of my friends and family to give Ikea a try (a lot of them are from California and they swear by the place) so I figured I would brave the big blue and yellow monstrosity with bravery in mind and an appetite for a good deal when I was in the market for a new desk. I'll let the uber-hip sheik interior pass without reprimand as the real problem was when I bought my desk and finally carted it back home, it was missing half the screws. So I carted the darned thing back to the store and the customer service simply shrugged their shoulders. Literally, it was nothing more than that. So I've written to corporate. This is truly unacceptable.
What am I going to do with a half allotment of wonky screws, a few pieces of polished wood and an Allen wrench? Good riddance. If you do shop there make sure you check that everything is in the package as promised.

I too ordered the diet pills from an ad in the mail for Litrex Grapefruit Rind pills. I sent them a check and they cashed it. I'm embarrassed! How dare these people take my hard earned money.
I received a check in the mail for 3950.00. I called the company it was a research agency it all sounded legit. So I went ahead and did it. Washington Mutual told me it would have to clear in 5 days. This was on a Monday that I deposited the check. Sure enough on Saturday the funds were available. My first thought was cool everthings went through were good to go.
So on Saturday I took out a portion of the money to do the first job requested. Then I let the remainder sit there till like Wed the 15th . About a week later I received a letter in the mail something was wrong with the check at the amount of 3950.00. That I needed to contact the bank as soon as possible to resolve this issue. So I did . I talk to the Manager Manty.
At that point he starts to change his tone of voice like I had committed this crime. Like I knew it was fake.I told him look I have all the paperworkright in my hand . I also preceded to tell him I had checks out. What about them. All he kept saying was you owe us are money back. Kept saying I needed to come in to the bank right now. He was so abrupt with me. I thought maybe he was setting me up. To tell The police that I had purposely done this.
So I Finally got a hold of my husband told him what was going on with the bank how they were making accusations. When we got the bank. I set and tried to plea my case. All he kept saying you owe that money and we will get it. In a very rude way.I told him what do I do my sons disability check is to be direct deposited on the first. Thats all the money I have to pay my bills. Again he said you can try to call social security but we will get that money.
I did I called Social Security Tried to get the deposit stop. I was 3 days to late. There cut of is the 17th. I called on the 20th. Now you know as well as i do by Manty's Comment he knew it was to late. Still though at that point I thought it would come in Check form. I waited by the mail box till the mail ran. I had even had bills extended waiting on the mail.
When it didn't come I had a bad feeling it went to the bank. I tried social security first they said call the bank. If ain't there and you don't receive it 3 Days call us back. Low and behold. I call the bank, again who do I talk to Manty. When I ask him if thats what happened to the check. He said yep, Now you only owe us 31something. I said Hey you mean to tell me I cant get any of that money.
I said I filed the police report you told me. His next comment was lets see what I do. Come on in here and lets work something out. He knew they wasn't going to give me that money. What he didn't know is my mom has turned real bitter in her elder age. I called her and told her what was going on. They made a couple phone calls and found out they cant take a government check for a bad debt. So I took her up there to talk to him.
Again I told you we would get our money, you owe it to us. My moms words was you will be hearing from our attorney. Now I have bounced 5 check from them freezing my account. They took my only form of income. The checks will go to the state within 15 days. Yet all I got we will get our money. I wanted to tell him tell that to four little boys you took from .
About six months ago, I got a Direct TV satellite and two receivers for my house. The service worked well enough and the bill was reasonable until I found that the cable service in my area had better HD support. So yesterday, I call up Direct TV to cancel. No problem says the rep, you'll just have to pay a cancellation fee of $420.00. I still have my initial contract that I signed for Direct TV that has no mention whatsoever of any kind of cancellation fee. The rep told me that the fee was a result of 'any fees or changes therein that may occur'. Terribly vague if you ask me and $420.00 is too much of a cost to eat. Buyer beware.
I signed up for a Free Trail of the Acai Berry Flush The Third Week Of October. The more I thought about it the More Uncomfortable I felt cause I had never ordered anything On-Line! So I call a few days later telling them I want to cancel. The Man on the phone said I COULD NOT cancel and I had to wait closer to the end of my Free Trail!
He Even offered to give me another 2 weeks, and another FREE bottle!
I NEVER RECEIVED ANY PRODUCT!
Then Yesterday I received a Charge on my Credit Card for $29.95 from Fit Factory. This Charge was NOT approved by me. I called the number I found for the Company, and DEMANDED a refund, as I also informed them that I reported their Company to the BBB and to the IC3.
I still have no Refund!
I received a call Last night 11/4/08 from yet ANOTHER company WITH my CC# offering me a Free Trial and a Free $40.00 Gas Card. And then telling me I have to cancel by said date or I would be charged $29.95 for my membership which I NEVER signed up for!
I did contact the BBB and the IC3... I think Everyone Involved with this company should!
The Grant University took $69.95 out of my bank account. I canceled the day after I signed up with them and I had 7 days to cancel. The terms state that you have to cancel within the 7 days and they will not charge your account. When I contacted them they just told me they were sorry and put the $69.95 back into my account, but they still caused the fees totally $69.95 and they won't take care of it, regardless how many times I've contacted them by email and phone. The Supervisor Jason Sanders told me I had to contact the legal department. I've been doing this for over a week and still nothing has happened. Now I'm responsible for these charges, that I wouldn't have if it were not for this company. This company needs to be taken off the internet and dealt with.
