Shower variable head was broken and dirty.
Shower leaked all over the floor.
One towel was not fresh and was smelly.
Bottom bed sheet on bed was not made properly and appeared to be too small exposing mattress protector.
Mattress cover appeared too small and a was very unhealthy grey colour.
One pillow was was thin and droopy.
Tv would not turn off - intermittent fault
Wire hanging down from TV
Ringing down to reception at 11.30 pm in regard to TV - no answer
Went down to Reception rang bell and called out, nobody appeared.
Walked around calling out in all areas through doors into the usual off limit areas e.g kitchen, closed dining room and other places - no staff round.
Someone eventually arrived from outside with two other guests. Reported TV fault and someone came to our room approx 11.55pm. As TV had by then turned off and the time of night we asked he would go away and investigate problem after our check out the next day- probably a handset battery problem.
Question was asked of us "were we staying another night?" Totally irrelevant question unless it was not going to be fixed on the morrow.
At breakfast we found ourselves by a blocked fire exit door.
Fire door was blocked by a holdall that nobody claimed.
Holdall was open and the contents appeared to be full of rubbish - a visible empty sandwich package.
Lift button missing.
I have photographic evidence but despite try varying ways to upoad the pictures in the below box I receive an "upload error". Designed so you don't receive pictures?
Desired outcome: An apology for the exceptional poor standard of accommodation and mindfulness of the abysmal lack of security .
