I been a member of PVCU for more than 25 years. I always get great service from everyone there. If there's ever a problem, they fix it fast. PVCU is the best bank around. I tell everyone to go there.
I tried to get a loan for home improvement on 2/21/22, but they were closed for the holiday
I tried to get a loan for home improvement on 2/21/22, but they were closed for the holiday. I messaged them on 2/22/22 at 9:44am to cancel the loan, but on 2/23/22 they still checked my credit. I asked them to remove the inquiry, but they said no. I want it gone from my report. They shouldn't have checked my credit after I canceled the loan. The guy on the phone who said he was "the boss of that place" was mean and talked over me. When I asked to talk to his boss, he said they were in a meeting and couldn't call me back until next week. If they don't fix this, my whole family will leave.

The folks at Pioneer Valley Federal Credit Union are super nice and always willing to lend a hand
The folks at Pioneer Valley Federal Credit Union are super nice and always willing to lend a hand. However, I've heard that in the past, they haven't been so great at approving loans for people of color. Apparently, even if you have the ability to pay back a small $500 loan, they might still deny you based on a past delinquency. I talked to a manager about it, and they said that it doesn't matter how long ago the delinquency was - they just won't approve the loan.
