I've been in business for over 20 years and I own multiple companies, I don't think I've ever come across a more Disgusting, Draconic, and just borderline scammy company in my career.
We originally signed them up as a provider of Voice Marketing in our phone system (Yeah that annoying music you hear while waiting) the creative is not bad, but BEWARE of their contract.
First of all, they will sign you up for 3 years. There is no getting out of this contract.
After a year or so we realized we saw very little value for the cost and we wanted to find a way out. No... they will refer to their pretty bulletproof contract - So after a long negotiation, we were able to receive a discount, but we still asked to put a cancellation notice at the end of our term. To my surprise, acceptance of our Discount was (without warning) also committing me to an automatic three-year rollover.
We gave them a notice again that we are OUT at the end of the term. But that only stands if you don't accept the discount.
Each conversation with their rep was like talking to a lawyer who was there to get you. I've never experienced such customer service and just awful ethics from a company.
Desired outcome: Preventing other customers from having the same experience we had

I totally agree with your review - what a scammy company indeed! We hosted the PHMG content through Ring Central, which was a terrible experience. We literally couldn't answer our incoming calls! Constant calls to Ring Central Technical Support finally ended when the Ring Central rep said the problem was with Verizon (our mobile phone vendor) and that Verizon had to change! I cancelled Ring Central. During this debacle, I communicated with PHMG that we were not able to utilize their service and wanted to cancel. They suggested we switch to Go to connect to replace Ring Central. We started to make that switch, but I killed it because, like you, I wasn't seeing value (our revenue actually went up when I started taking all the customer calls myself! Our business is based on relationships. I called PHMG to cancel and they failed to mention that I am contractually obligated to provide a 42 day written notice prior to the end of a 3 year contract, or the contract automatically renews for another 3 years! They called me a liar and threatened to file a civil suit if I did not pay (or I could pay over $9,000 to get out of the contract). Now I am paying, but not using the service for the next 3 years! I plan to give PHMG written notice of cancellation monthly for the next 3 years. They knew we weren't using the service and that we weren't able to get the use of it at Ring Central - they just want money and aren't concerned with the success of their customers or even customer satisfaction. WHAT A TERRIBLE COMPANY!
