The Park's Furniture store and location (in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada) are gross! The furniture selection is redudant and unimpressive. The prices are unreasonable - way over priced, even the banged up floor models. The staff were condescending, arrogant and unhelpful. They were unreasonable and did not make any effort to provide good customer service. They didn't even attempt to hide their lack of care to help their clients.

You are better off with a bigger company or a higher end furniture store because they, unlike Park's, can provide good staff, furniture and prices. We had an awful experience!

and they are still lying...I reported them to BBB..and they lied to them too... I think they even deleted the review where they comment on a delivery fee...which since the maufacturers are replacing my sofa, over the shoddy service i got, they are saying that it was not normal wear and tear, 31 plus emails back and forth with Eric, who pretended to be Derick..if you can believe that bs... is lying again... We used the sofa for 3 months..i have that proof... DO NOT SHOP HERE... DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE I MADE..I FEAR THAT MY OTHER STUFF WILL FALL APART TOO... SHAM OF A STORE...

Worse store I have ever dealt with in my 63 yrs... stay away... I bought 9 pieces of furniture last aug and sept... my son got ill, and did not move in till april... by aug 4th I had sent an email, about the cushion of the sofa, then 2 days later another, then the base spring part broke, and it was unusable, so sent another... to be told it, s $124 too come and pick it up, and then redeliver it... what... I am under warranty... I argued this price, and I got it, knocked down to half this..$62.14... I had to etransfer this.. very odd indeed... while the delivery men, were there, they scrapped the sofa across the popcorn ceiling leaving 2 large 9 inch plus marks, with peices of my black sofa in the marks... my son asked the delivery guys what the heck. oh don, t worry this is a replacement, they always are... well.. no it was not... so there was 2 scrapes on the couch... they did not care, or acknowledge this.. our guys would never say this... what... I am lying.. my son is lying too... ok... so in the mean time, I had sent eric from parks many emails..33 in fact, one asking to buy some fabric to cover the arms, and in case any other issue arises, after my warranty is up... no response on the material buy.. so I emailed and called the co that manufactured the sofa... which also stated it should be replaced... I sent many photos... they do not deal with park as a wholesaler any longer.. hummmm... they were great people who are replacing my sofa free, nothing to do with parks, it, s all hughes, and stoney creek furniture.. who feel bad at the shoddy treatment I got... now I am reading reviews, and this is what I read... that parks had sent to another lady 9 months ago... if you [ick it up, it is your responsibility to bring it back, however, if you pay for delivery and there is a problem we will comeout and exhange it at no charge...in the future you may want to pay for delivery... I did pay on purchase... and was under a membership... a membership... which will never be used again... we are spreading the word... after speaking with a lawyer, I was told the above statement means I should get my whole $62.14 back, and instead of them coming and repairing my ceiling as I am not happy with them coming into my apt, pay me to have it repaired... do not shop here... do not think you are saving any money... read the reviews... I am still under warranty, and getting this kind of treatment... eric is not a good service manager, and this is bs... I have spoken to bbb, and a few other company in the hamilton and st catharines area, I won, t post the responses.. but not good... well... live and learn... just pay me my money back, and you will never hear or see any of us, or our friends again... shame is we went in to buy 4 more pieces this past summer, as we bought a new house, that needs a lot more furnishings... I dodged a bullet, but still got nicked... stay away from park... update... I called the store, now... and asked for the manager, I got this man, who I recognized and ask his name, he said derick.. I said, derick or eric.. oh I am derick... I asked for the refund on my delivery.. and was told the delivery fee warranty expires after 2 months... I also asked about the ceiling, and was told.. does it effect your daily life, duh... so I phoned back, and asked for a derick.. oh we have an eric but no derick... and he is not the manager, he just works in service.. the owners patrick is away, and will be back next week... I will be calling patrick next week.. on monday, as he is at a trade show... stay away from this store.. they lie, and then lie to cover the last lie, then lie, about the 2nd lie... lies lies lies... and scams...

We shopped at Parks years ago, bought leather furniture we had for 15 years, all was good. We went back there after looking around at a couple other places and decided on another leather power recline set paying in full $3820.00 July 2017. Mistake! After no response and delivery date of 8 weeks passed, it took numerous calls and emails to Parks sales rep to find out they made error and ordered two chairs not sofa and chair set that we paid for and we had to wait another two weeks. One month later after numerous calls to them, finally delivered end of Oct. within one day, seats collapsed down two inches from middle seats, console was not set properly, chair did not close correctly. This set was defected and we called them on it right away. They said they would send out service guy, who came two weeks later. We said we wanted a refund, they said they would make new seats. I said I wanted a refund. They said they would fix it. Another month passed, heard nothing. Sofa hurt your seat and back to sit for long periods. Emailed, service was rude, sales was rude, no one cared. Asked for owner, he was arrogant and rude and said he is busy with CRA and hung up. I called back got sales, she said not her problem, what? I said that is it get it out of here, we want a refund. By Jan. 2018 we am fuming! I want this set gone, that is when I am told I have to pay 20% restocking fee on this defective furniture. At this point we want it gone, we went out looked around and bought another set, beautiful genuine leather reclining set on sale $2100.00 taxes and delivery all in and he through in a picture when we told him issues with Parks. Parks pickup set Jan and then we had to fight for our refund as expecting to pay $778.00 charge, we were charged $1000.00 as supposedly 20% on a non member/sale price. What a ripoff! We had to pay for their defective crap that they will sell to someone else! Even then, the refund amount was wrong and we had to call them again to correct. This company is now owned by crooks and there is no customer service, they do not care about their customers! BUYERS BEWARE CAVEAT We will NEVER and everyone we know will NEVER shop there again!

I had a wonderful experience. Parks Furniture company all the way. I purchased a couple of dining room items and the wide variety that I had to choose from baffled me. They were exquisite, needless to say that I have to tell my acquaintances and relatives about this. I also took my mom there and she fell in love. She also decided to spread the word. The prices were excellent and the delivery was right on schedule. The staff was very helpful and correct indeed.

The above is certainly an indication that Parks Furniture is not an honest business and should be avoided.

The worse customer service. Bought a bunch of stuff there. Delivered 6 weeks late. The delivery guy broke my door. Don't go there unless you like gambling. If your item turns up o.k, undamaged and the delivery is on time which has 0.000001 % chance! you are lucky. If your items are damaged, well you either spend 10 months fighting with them or you kiss your money good bye and accept the junk.

Park's has over 110, 000 sq ft of showroom. They have no selection? I don't know what you're talking about. Every time I go with one of my friends (because I have a membership) we end up spending the whole day because the selection is over whelming. I bought a membership in 2009 and I have bought from Park's on countless occasions. I own a few properties so I am always in need of new furniture. Every time I go in there the sales staff are very informed and helpful. They are also interior decorators and help me to make sure I am not clashing my pieces. I will always recommend Park's to friends and family.

Hi,
i have a membership at parks and i must say the prices are crazy cheap. I have shopped around at the Ashley furniture store and found that parks beat the prices by quite a bit. I am not sure how they manage to sell things so much cheaper than other stores but as a consumer I don't really care either. They are very strict on membership use i suppose because of the low mark up but do allow for friends to use a members card. If you would like to contact me feel free and maybe i can be of assistance. I purchase a mattress for my bed room that is nice, comfortable and reliable in price.

Please note that Park's Furniture does approximately 10, 000 invoices a year and yes a couple customers are not happy with our service. The lady above was told there was a restocking charge since she did not want the bedroom set. We also told her she could use the credit towards something else in the store. We told her that since our prices are so low we can not afford to deliver the furniture, pick it up and give her back her money. I think it is worth mentioning that the only thing she said was wrong with the bedroom was the rails, which we offer to switch out for her.

I read these reviews before going to parks and i want to corrected a few things. I tryed avoiding PARKS from what I read here but was haveing no luck at other stores so i said what the heck and as far as Prices go PARKS was the best every one held the same furniture ( ASHLEY, DECOREST, PALLISURE ) and PARKS prices beat them all even at the ASHLEY stores themself same sofa PARKS beat the price and not just by abit were talking big time saveings $$$$ how do they do it, dont know dont care all I know is it saves me money they had the most reasonable Priced furniture Ive seen the only problem i had was there selection it was overwelming there was so much to pick from they have 3 floors each dedacated to living room, bed room, and dinning room each a city block long if you go take your time and makes sure you dont miss out, and there sales people were vary helpfully when selecting they dont hover over you while you shop it was a vary pleasnt experiance and ill be doing all my furniture shopping there from now on

I would give Parks Furniture ZERO stars if I could. I am not exaggerating when I say this was the WORST shopping experience of my life. Let me start by saying that this was about 3-4 months ago, so I am not just blinded by rage right now. I have had lots of time to calm down and be logical about the situation, yet I cant even drive by the store without my blood boiling. I think that says a lot. Why, you ask? Let me tell you that I went into Parks looking at couches and bedroom sets. We didn't find any couches but we did purchase whole bedroom set (dresser, mirror, chest, bed frame, 2 night stands, box spring and mattress.) We had the family discount card, so we received the 40% off. For a total of just under $1900.00. Which was great! I was pleased, my experience had been great up until that point. No complaints from me. The problem with Parks come when you go to return something. Whether it is being returned by fault of your own, OR by fault of the store. Which is mind boggling on its own. SOO, we pick up all our furniture, (we had a moving truck so we were able to, as we just bought a house and it was moving day!) we get all the furniture unloaded and begin to go at assembling it. This is where we came to find that the quality and workmanship was really not there at all (in this particular collection anyway), but fine, i got a good deal, i will live with it. Then we discover that the bed rails could not be latched on to the headboard, which was due to faulty workmanship on their end. We couldn't even rig it to make it work. It needed to be replaced. I called them and filled them in, I was informed that the did not have the pieces needed to fix the bed and that I could pick out another set and return that one. I told them I was more than okay with that, as I wasn't very impressed with the quality of the furniture anyways, I would be happy to return it! Then, they inform me that they could take the rails from a king size bed they had in stock (I had a queen), and problem solved. I said "No. I want to return this set. Its poorly made, its not built properly, there are scratches and dents on one of the dressers, so no. I will return it, and pick out a new set." So now this is where it gets really fun! I was informed that since i was returning it, I would be charged a 10% restocking fee. Which equalled out to be over $200. First of all, I didn't even spend $2000, so how does 10% of $1886 end up being $224? Well, it seems they don't base they're %10 fee on what you paid (I had the family discount card, remember?) They base off of the FULL PRICE! Not only that, but they are charging me this fee for returning a faulty bedroom set they sold to me! How dare they!? Needless to say, I was not impressed. I kept calling and trying to speak to supervisors, who were all incredibly rude. I finally go on the phone with who I was told was the owner, and I have never felt so disrespected in my life. He was the rudest, more arrogant person I have ever spoken to. He was patronizing, spoke down to me, rude, and this was the owner! We ended up in literally a screaming match with him telling me "DO NOT EVER CALL HERE AGAIN!" and he hung up on me. I was in tears... I had this huge bedroom set sitting in my garage that was unusable. I calmed down and called back, i had no choice, i was stuck. We both apologized but he was still snarky with me and did not budge. I had to pay this $224 AND he charged me a delivery fee to pick it up. It was suppose to be $80, but he was nice enough to cut in half to $40. What a great guy! (note sarcasm please!). Soo, long story short. It cost me $264 to return a bedroom set that was sold to me broken. Wow! Can I just add that just a week prior we had purchased a couch from Leons for our basement. The delivery guys came with the couch but it would not fit downstairs, so they packed it back up, took it back to the store, and i was fully refunded, no hassle at all! It boggles my mind because technically Leons could have gave me a hard time considering it could've been said that it was my fault it didn't fit, maybe I shouldve measured.. but no, they took it back without even a question. Then you have Parks Furniture, who sold me faulty product, and then charged me almost $300 to return it! There is something very wrong with this picture!
I wish I could do something about it, but I can't. I can only warn others to be cautious. They seem like a great store... nice selections, fair prices, but remember, the problems arise when you need to return something!
My boyfriend and I are a young couple that just bought a house, we will and have been furnishing our whole house, but we will NEVER shop at Parks Furniture again! We also have lots of friends who are at the home buying point in their life, and we make sure they all know not to go there as well.
I may as well have just flushed $300 down the toilet... and I'm sure most of us can agree, that's not pennies! That is a significant amount of money!

I had a bad experience there as well. I went in to parks looking for some dining chairs. I didn't find any on the floor that I liked so I was offered a catalogue to look through. I wanted wood chairs with black leather seating. The service rep helped me pick out a set and I payed for them, got my receipt and was told I could pick them up the next day. I decided to go back into the show room to have a look for a coffeee table. As I was looking around I came across a set of chairs that looked exactly like mine but the leather was a dull cheap looking brown vinyl. I looked at my invoice and realized the sku numbers matched. I found the sales rep and showed her. The chairs in the picture looked black and she even told me they were. I told her that if this was what the chairs really looked like I did not want them. Especially at 600 dollars for 4. Good thing I noticed. You'd think they would be educated in what they were selling. Completely unprofessional. I was told I could find something else in the store instead that I liked. I learned my lesson about buying furniture from a catalogue and decided to only go with something I could see in person. WARNING: DO NOT BUY ANTHING OUT OF A CATALOGUE. You will probably be disappointed as the furniture always looks much nicer in the picture than in real life and you can't tell if it's cheaply constructed or not. Anyways, I found something else I liked and ordered the 4 chairs for an extra 150, 750 total. I [paid the difference and was told they would be in about 2 - 3 weeks. Over the next couple of weeks I found some curtains, dishes, area rug, and other small decorative items that matched the upholstery on the chairs. I got a call asking to come in at almost 3 weeks after my order. Thinking I was going to pick up my chairs I was excited as my husband and I had been eating our meals at the kitchen counter for almost a month, I was extremely disappointed when I found out that was not the case. For some ### reason the manufacturer the chairs were ordered from was no longer doing business with parks anymore and my order was cancelled. I was furious when I was told once again to go look for something else. I wondered about the floor models I had seen when I was originally in there and went to see if they were still there. They were so I asked if I could buy them at a discount price as they were floor models. I was told no I couldn't have a discount price and I couldn't buy the chairs unless I purchased the table with it for an extra 800. I explained to the rep that I had spent approximately 600 dollars on accessories to go with these stupid chairs and would not be able to return some of the stuff because of final sales and locating receipts. Why would I have to worry about returns when I was told I would get my chairs. They did absolutely nothing to compensate me for my troubles in anyway. They could have at least sold me the floor model chairs. They could've sold the table separately. I saw other tables in there on their own. So I asked for my money back. I was in there recently about 6 months after the fact and the stupid set is still sitting there. Instead of keeping their customer happy and selling at least some of the furniture, they are stuck with the crap and I will never buy anything from them again!
