Pruitt's Fine Furniture Terrible customer support

Terrible customer support. They sold me a dining table in June and in 4 months, somehow water got inside the table and the edge got swollen, cracking the paint on the side. To my surprise, it wasn't even real wood at all but synthetic materials with wood laminate. My biggest surprise is when the agent on the phone challenged me to court if I don't like their decision. Very unprofessional.

I went to Pruitt's on 5/21 and bought a sofa, desk, file cabinet, and rug, all Ashley products. Sam, the salesman, promised it would arrive no later than 6/15. When mid-June came around, I hadn't heard anything. I left messages for Sam to call me back, but he wouldn't. I did manage to speak to him once, but he couldn't find an update on my order. He said he would call me back, but he never did. I called again and was told it would be the end of June. When I called at the end of June, a nice lady told me, "I'm not gonna lie to you, you're looking at the end of July." Every time they blame the manufacturer. I decided to cancel my order. I went straight to the Ashley Furniture website and placed my order, and guess what? Everything was in stock!

Pruitt's Fine Furniture I ordered a Sleeper sofa in January , but I still haven't received it

I ordered a Sleeper sofa in January , but I still haven't received it. When I call, the person I speak to doesn't seem to care. The first thing she says is that I can cancel if I want and get a full refund. I've already waited 5 months, so why cancel now? They keep blaming the pandemic for the delay, but waiting 5 months is just too much. Their customer service is terrible. They never call to give updates or make you feel like they care about your wait. This business is poorly managed and has horrible customer service. I'll definitely tell my family and friends not to buy from this company.

Pruitt's Fine Furniture Don't expect much from Pruitt's Fine Furniture

Don't expect much from Pruitt's Fine Furniture. It's a poorly managed business that survives on quick sales, like a used car dealership for home furniture. Don't expect your morning delivery to actually arrive in the morning. When the truck finally shows up, be prepared to meet some new folks who just arrived in the United States. You'll definitely feel hesitant about letting these guys inside your home, even if they have neck tattoos that claim they're trustworthy. My invoice number was [insert number], and it cost me sixty bucks and a whole day just to get a mattress and foundation delivered. But you know what? It was money well spent because I learned a valuable lesson. My neighbor, who referred me to this place, learned an even harder lesson. Turns out, his couch and love seat are held together with shoddy staples and foam. It was a tough lesson, but at least I learned something.

Pruitt's Fine Furniture This store is the absolute worst

This store is the absolute worst. I ordered a living room set and it took more than a month to arrive. And guess what? The couch was damaged! They took my money right away and didn't bother to contact me about when it would arrive or even when it finally did. I called the manager and she promised to send another one. We waited the whole damn day, and at 5 pm, I called the store to find out what the hell was going on. The girl on the phone said our delivery would be from 6:30-7pm. But guess what? The store closes at 6. Well, the guy showed up at 7:20 pm after we waited ALL day. And guess what again? The sofa he brought was also damaged. Don't they check their stuff or do they just not care about their customers? So I called the manager the next morning, but she still wasn't in at noon. I left a message, but of course, she never called back. So my husband, who is furious, called and finally got the manager. And you know what she said? She tried to blame us and said we should have checked the furniture first, because apparently they don't. Save yourself the trouble and don't buy from Pruitt's. Their customer service and products are the absolute worst!

Pruitt's Fine Furniture Worst customer service and disrespectful store manager

Worst customer service and disrespectful store manager. Bought a bedroom set in May . We were told we would get it in July but nothing in July. After calling the store, I was told we would receive it in August. I called multiple times to ask about the bed, but the store manager, ***, was no help. He said he can't help and that the whole world is having problems, so it's not his problem when I was talking about the purchase. I probably won't get the bed until the end of December. They lie about everything and they're very rude and disrespectful to their customers. I ended up canceling my order, and the store manager did say we would get a refund on everything, including the warranty fees and shipping fees since they delivered part of the purchase in May. We will never do business with them again, and we recommend everyone to stay away from this place. So much for being a family-owned company. I hope we get all our money back without any issues; otherwise, they'll get sued for sure. Zero stars.

Pruitt's Fine Furniture Re. Pruitt's Furniture

Re. Pruitt's Furniture. The public needs to know that they offer a 100-day special same-as-cash deal, but they don't tell you that the payments they offer aren't structured to pay off the account within the 100-day plan. In the end, you realize you have to make additional payments before the deadline. After the 100 days pass, the total interest kicks in and adds up to the account. You realize that you're only purchasing the merchandise if it's paid off before the 100 days; after that, the account becomes a rental with the option to buy. Now, we decided to return all the furniture instead of paying double for the items. Very bad experience. We talked to the manager about this issue, but she blamed the financial institution that provided the financing. The salesperson should be licensed and encouraged to have ethics, so they don't halfway tell the truth or omit important information from customers. I also think the terms and conditions should be fully disclosed in Spanish too. We bought the furniture in July, and we're still waiting for a mirror that was missing, and one piece of furniture came broken in the package and needed to be replaced.

Pruitt's Fine Furniture I wish I had read reviews before buying stuff at Pruitts

I wish I had read reviews before buying stuff at Pruitts. I got a dinette set and a T.V. stand from there. I went to the store on 3/18 to buy the dinette set and they said it would be delivered on 3/23 since it was in stock. While I was there, I saw a T.V. stand that I liked and bought it online two days later. They said it was also in stock and would be delivered on 3/25. But the 23rd came and went with no delivery or call. I called on the 24th and they said both items would be delivered on Friday the 26th. When I asked about the delivery scheduled for the 24th and the promised delivery on the 25th, they said they would deliver both on the 25th. So, they just left both items on my front porch on the 25th. When I opened and assembled the dinette set, I found that some hardware was missing (8 nuts, washers, and lockwashers to attach the legs to the table). I called Pruitts and they told me to go to a warehouse far from my place to get them. Eventually, they said they would mail them to me. But I still haven't received them as of 3-31. I ended up spending around $10 at a local hardware store to buy them myself. It took me all day. The store didn't mention the extensive assembly required. I saw and bought these items already assembled, so I expected them to be delivered that way. The next day, I tried unpacking and assembling the T.V. stand. I found one shelf broken and one wheel on a sliding/rolling door broken. I called Pruitts again and told them about the problem. They said they would send a new unit for exchange on the 31st. On the 31st, they called and said the new unit was on its way and would arrive in 20 minutes. Soon, I heard angry, loud voices on my front porch, but no knock or ring. When I opened the door, a very angry man yelled at me in broken English, telling me to answer my phone because they wanted to deliver something. I told them I had answered the call. After they said they were from Pruitts, I let them in to exchange the items. The man was very loud, very angry, and very hard to understand. He kept yelling at me, asking what was wrong with the item, even after I told him about and showed him the broken pieces. He just kept yelling the same questions over and over, louder and louder. I felt very threatened and went into the dining room so I could escape through the back door if needed. Finally, I told them to just do whatever it took, exchange or fix, and get out! They exchanged the item and finally left. I have no idea if the new one is any good or not, and I don't care now. If it's bad, I'll just throw it out and get one somewhere else, somewhere that, hopefully, I can at least feel safe with a delivery.

Pruitt's Fine Furniture I recently purchased a recliner from Pruitt's Fine Furniture

I recently purchased a recliner from Pruitt's Fine Furniture. It was delivered to me yesterday, but unfortunately, it doesn't operate correctly. The footrest won't close unless you're out of the chair and manually force it with strength. Additionally, the back of the chair doesn't stay back when lying in it, which throws you forward. Moreover, the release handle doesn't work correctly.

Pruitt's Fine Furniture I ordered and paid for a sofa in November

I ordered and paid for a sofa in November . It was supposed to arrive in January or early February . I called multiple times, but kept getting delayed and brushed off. Now they're saying it won't be available until May . I requested a refund, but they're holding onto my money. This is really bad business. The manager looked sloppy and reeked of cigarettes, which is a problem for my medical condition as I can't be around smoke.

Pruitt's Fine Furniture I got a recliner from Pruitts like two years ago

I got a recliner from Pruitts like two years ago. I also got the extended warranty. But let me tell you, this recliner has been broken for like half the time we've had it. The first time it broke, Pruitts fixed it, but it took them six whole weeks. Can you believe that? And now, it's broken again, with the same issue. I put in a claim on January 8, and it's already April 20, but Pruitts is just avoiding my calls. They keep promising to call me back, but no one ever does. I paid a good amount of money for this recliner and the extended warranty. I just want them to fix it or give me my money back for this messed up recliner.

Pruitt's Fine Furniture In November , we had a service person come to fix the love seat we bought in September with an extended warranty

In November , we had a service person come to fix the love seat we bought in September with an extended warranty. This was the second time we needed a warranty repair for the same problem. The love seat leans to the left when extended. Also, the switches on the side of the couch are upside down and some of the ports don't work. The same service person fixed the couch before by replacing some parts. They told us that these couches are made cheaply and sometimes they just bend. In July , the service department let us down when they didn't schedule our service and then delayed our appointment for months because they were busy. In November , the service person said they would need to order parts and they wouldn't replace the broken love seat. However, we haven't received any communication or call back, and now it's 2021. I haven't shared anything on social media about this terrible service yet.

Pruitt's Fine Furniture I ordered a sofa and chair from Pruitts online website on July 04

I ordered a sofa and chair from Pruitts online website on July 04. They took my payment right away, but never contacted me to let me know when the sofa would arrive. I had to contact them multiple times and each time they gave me a different date. They never let me know when it was ready. I had to chase it down and arrange for delivery. When it finally arrived, a whole month later on August 4, and we took off the plastic wrap, we discovered that the back of the sofa was damaged. We called and spoke to the lady manager who said they had another one in stock and scheduled it to be delivered on August 5th. We waited all day without any specific time given, which was really inconvenient while trying to work. I called the store at 5pm to find out why they were being so rude and to see what was happening. They told me the driver would arrive around 6:30 pm. He actually showed up at 7:20 pm. It seems like our time doesn't matter to this business. The driver removed the plastic from the second couch only to find that it was also damaged. He left the first couch and took the second one with him. The next morning, I called the store at 11:30am and left a message for the manager who wasn't there yet. I never heard back. My husband called at 1pm and managed to speak to the manager who said they have a third couch and we can come in to inspect it. It's their responsibility to ensure the quality of their products before taking people's money. I shouldn't have to inspect their furniture before paying for delivery. I have wasted so much time with this process that I don't want to buy from them anymore. I want a full refund. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced, or rather, the complete absence of customer service.
