Outback Steakhouse

We walked in a 3 p.m. this past Sat. Hostess asked if we wanted a table or booth. My husband responded with Booth. The place was not crowded but she placed us in the BAR. Waitress came over to take our order. I ordered water & my husband ordered a coke. Waitress was surprised we didn't order cocktails. We asked her why we were seated in the bar and her response was, umm no idea. She took our order and disappeared. Someone else served the appetizer. Someone else brought the dinners out. Our waitress was no where to be seen. Again, 3p.m. the place was not crowded. We saw our waitress once and that was to serve my husband another coke mid way through dinner. She did come back to clear our salad plates and again disappeared. We did notice she was talking to someone sitting at the bar and to another table. Was she busy, absolutely not. She came to clear our dishes away and asked if we wanted desert, we replied with no. As we both watched her make the rounds and chat with this male customer sitting at the bar, I did make eye contact with the waitress and she still didn't come over. I finally said, EXCUSE ME, and she said yes...I said we are waiting for the check. ohhh ok. Finally came over with the check. Then we waited for her to come back with the card and receipt. There was no reason we should have had to wait. Poor experience especially for an anniversary dinner.
