I have complained once all ready, heard nothing from O'Riely. The sales person sold me the wrong alternator for my F150. The alternator would not charge my battery. The computer could not talk to the alternator to tell it to charge the battery, the battery died by the time I found out it was the wrong alternator. The next sales person I talked to looked up my truck and what was sold to me, and said it was the wrong alternator. I needed a 135 amp alternator, not a 150 amp alternator that the other sale person sold me. It was for a 5.4L, my truck is a 4.6L engine without a CD changer. The first sales clerk just pulled an alternator off the shelve to make a sale. When the other sales clerk looked up the correct alternator, they did not have one in stock and had to get one brought in from another store. It did not help now, the battery was dead. I had to be jumped off to get home. I used my daughters car to go back and forth to get a new battery and pick up the alternator. After I put the correct alternator and battery in the truck cranked up first try and ran fine. The lights stopped pulseing and it cranked better. Date purchased 1/16/22 9:05am, invoice # [protected] for the wrong alternator. Installed, refund on core charge 01/16/22 10:06am, invoice #[protected]. Drove truck, lights now pulseing when at idle, had store check alternator and battery, said both fine and needed to let the alternator settle. Went to mechanic and was told that the alternator may be bad and needed to swap for another. Went back to store, this is when the new sales clerk looked up my truck, engine, saw that I was sold the wrong alternator. Ordered new correct alternator, had to get jumped off to get home. Came back to get new alternator and battery 01/21/22 05:14 pm, invoice #[protected], battery earlier at 3:45pm invoice # [protected]. It took a few days for me to get anything done, just glad it did not strand me on the road in the middle of no where.
Desired outcome: I don't think I should have had to buy a new battery to replace the one that the wrong alternator would not charge. I would like a refund for the battery. But I do urge O'Riely to respond in a timely manner.
